Been here once before and received quick service. But now I can’t get anyone to answer the phone to schedule another appt. Disappointing

I LOVE this shop! My car stopped running and I was panicking and called thinking no way will they be able to help at such short notice and Stephanie was so nice she said bring it here and we will help you! Thank you Stephanie and the entire staff for making a very stressful situation better!! I will always be a customer here!!!

Have done several oil changes with Palmyra Automotive. Fine customer service, efficient work and fair pricing. Have always had good experiences with these folks.

I had our 3 vehicles serviced at Palmyra Automotives for years. They are professional, courteous and efficient. I've never had to take a vehicle back after repairs. I love this place!!!

This was my first experience with this shop. I will not be using it again. I took my car to get a state inspection. It failed because the door handle wasn't working properly. We asked to them to check it to see what the problem was. AT NO TIME WAS IT MENTIONED THERE WOULD BE A DIAGNOSTIC FEE FOR DOING SO. Needless to say, I was surprised and annoyed when I went to retrieve my car that I was informed that not only did I have to pay the inspection fee, but an additional amount was charged for the diagnostic service. When I asked why weren't we informed beforehand that there would be a diagnostic fee, the response was they weren't required to. But look at what Google search says about that practice:👀 VIRGINIA LAW: In Virginia, an automobile repair facility may impose reasonable conditions for providing written estimates, including a fee for diagnostic work, BUT THESE CONDITIONS MUST BE DISCLOSED TO THE CUSTOMER. My sense is that they thought they were going to do the repair work, but since they aren't they decided to tack on the additional charge. Not very good business sense nor customer service practice and possibly illegal.🤔

My experience was a little different from some of the reviews I have read.The people were nice but I felt the labor was rather expensive to the actual work that was performed.Not that I don’t know labor is expensive these days.It seemed obvious they are making a living off of doing inspections and doing the repairs on items they find wrong?My opinion is 50/50 whether or not to use this service.

Always prompt, professional, above and beyond service. Stephanie is a treasure and IAN the owner is perfect, too...... Would not trust anyone else with MY car !! Thanks for the great service - every time..

I took my two vehicles to Palmyra Auto for Oil changes and safety inspections. They performed the services quickly and at a fair price. The staff was friendly and kept me informed when I swapped out the vehicles. I appreciate Palmyra Auto and the service they provide to the community. Highly recommended! genuinely the best mechanics I've gone to. they are all very nice. they are also quick and reasonably priced. the only downside is having a bit of a wait with getting an appointment.

I’ve been taking all my car for inspection and sometimes minor repairs, and they are outstanding from front desk to their mechanics. Customer service is friendly.

Not our best experience with PA. We waited two hours for an inspection sticker and a diagnosis for engine idling rough. We finally asked and was told the car had been ready earlier. Also, nobody diagnosed the issue. Just a statement to replace wires and plugs. They noted that rear brakes needed replacement, but their quote for the job was $100 more than the other auto shop at lake Monticello. I would have rated two stress except that PA had been solid in the past and I noted they had a new person in training in the front office who said they were overwhelmed.

You be the judge! I brought my car to be inspected. The day before the right headlight went out ! I told them to replace the bulb first then inspect the car ! The fail the car for inspection and then try to charge my $300 to change the bulb! No kidding! They said they had the remove the bumper! Crazy right! I was able to reach from the top and change it in less than 5 minutes! Nice receptionist! I would never charge someone that ever even if the book said so! Extremely disrespectful! I give them two stars because of the receptionist! Sad! Still burning about this and the reply just makes it worse! Here is the deal: $300 to change a head light on a Kia soul ! Time to rip someone off! Just embarrassing! Three clips and 15 minutes of work! Very sad ! Normally they very very good! They certainly missed the mark! They’re just The Best! When I had a warning light come on, they worked me in first thing next morning. then when it was going to be about 5 hrs to acquire the part and install it, they had a very pleasant employee drive me home in their own car and pick me back up when work was completed! Who does this?? They are consistently friendly, courteous, helpful, and explain things clearly. Waiting room is immaculate. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Pricing has been fair and they do great work. I will continue to give them my business on all our vehicles. They are friendly as well. Highly recommend!!!

I use Palmyra Automotive for all of my mechanical needs. Their prices are reasonable. Scheduling an appointment is easy and I’ve always been satisfied with their service. The staff is friendly, competent and thorough. The drop-off box makes it very convenient for me to leave the vehicle there in the evenings or on weekend days. Good communications as to the progression of service to the car and notifying me before repairing any unforeseen issues.

The owner was great when I called because my mini Cooper needed a jump. He was there in 10 minutes and he really saved the day. Myself and my husband have used these guys before and we always get great service! Thank you!

I should have written this review two years ago, because this place is fantastic. It is incredibly hard to find a mechanic you can trust, but Palmyra Automotive is honest and does great work. A couple years ago my Dodge Journey was on its last leg with a warning light party on the dashboard and I asked them to figure out/fix the issue. In less than 24 hours they called me to tell me the repairs would be so high (in excess of 2k), that it was best to just buy another car if I could afford it. It spoke volumes that instead of taking me for a financial ride they were honest about the severity of the issues and the cost of repairs. Cannot recommend this place enough. They are ALWAYS busy, so try to call ahead for routine maintenance things and be patient. They are worth the wait! As a side note, the woman answering the phone is one of the best people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with in a service industry. I'd give this place 10 million stars if I could.

Excellent customer service. I phoned about a leak in my sunroof. Ashley said come right over. Ian was waiting for me. He fixed the issue within minutes. The team at Palmyra Automotive is very professional. They make appontments & perform the work in a timely fashion. The owner, Ian has often answered questions I have about my 3 (old) vehicles on the phone between my appointments with his shop. I feel I get personal attention, which means a lot. The labor charges are reasonable & their access to needed used or new parts is promptly fulfilled. I would recommend Palmyra Automotive to family & friends.

Stay away from this place!...JOKING! I'm just selfish and wish they weren't always so busy! But they really do try to work you in when you have a real schedule issue. We have used them off and on for years, and I can tell you, the new ownership has not hurt their service at all, maybe improved it. I feel like I can trust them to do the right thing. I brought what I explained was a problem that I had not been able to replicate to them. They could have "found something" to repair but could not find anything wrong and didn't even charge me for looking at it. The work they have done for me is reasonably priced. You can find the expected price range of certain repairs online, and at last check/work they did for me was right in the middle of the price range I had researched. They really seem to care about the customer and their vehicle.

I a negligent in reviewing. I used Palmyra Automotive for a simple inspection but was really happy with their scheduling, personal service, professional attitude and communication. I will certainly try them for more complex work in the future based on my initial experience.

Highly recommend! I always dread taking my car anywhere because you never know what the bill will look like. I was very pleased with Palmyra automotive. They're very honest with their work.

Honest folks. Fair prices. Never had any problems. They are able to tackle tough jobs - such as devising a solution when a captive welded nut located inside the chassis failed. They also accommodate when you are in a pinch - such as when I needed a re-inspection done the same day and it was already after 4 PM. For the best experience, make an appointment in advance and leave your car there first thing in the morning if possible. They'll call when it is ready.

We had our three vehicles inspected here after moving into the area from PA. All required work was performed quickly, and for what I feel was reasonable cost. The estimates for work were detailed listing all parts needed and their respective costs. I typically do a little research on the parts list when I have work done, since parts are an area where bad shops will gouge you. I'm happy to report the markup on the parts was reasonable and around what I expected it would be (probably totaling 15 bucks over what you'd get them for from the web or your neighborhood parts store). Overall a good experience.
