Delicious food! It was our first time trying this place out and the servers were friendly and fast. I enjoyed the baked Brie appetizers the peaches that came with it were the best peaches I’ve ever tasted in my life. Highly recommend

Our car club had a fun run lunch here recently. Good food and service was great. Unfortunately, we were seated outside under the tents and there is a massive fly infestation. One or two, I can deal with but constantly swatting flies doesn't make for a pleasant lunch

Continues to be our favorite restaurant in the region. Even though we've moved to Tidewater, we make plans to come here for lunch, normally with friends who live locally. As usual, the service was great, the food outstanding, and the prices very reasonable.

I had a delicious burger on a brioche bun for lunch during our bike ride. Beautiful patio sitting area. A few bugs were flying around but nothing too annoying. Some menu items were pricey, but the burger was good value. A friend had the Croque Monsieur. It was rich and delicious; order this if your feelin hungry.

Nice English pub vibes. Our server Caroline was super friendly and kept checking up on us. I really enjoyed my burger with their house cured bacon and my husband said his chicken pot pie was really good.

Hunter's Head Tavern was amazing! I went to celebrate my birthday and loved the English Pub vibes in the restaurant. The staff were extremely courteous and accommodating, the food was HOT, seasoned well, and just overall delicious. Bonus points for using locally sourced ingredients when able. Definitely planning to come back! My group left another nearby restaurant, as we weren't receiving quality service there and we're being treated unfairly, so to UPGRADE to Hunter's Head Tavern, was a blessing in disguise. Totally saved my birthday luncheon with my ladies! Thank you so much!

My husband and I absolutely adore this restaurant. The food and service has been wonderful every time. We love the atmosphere and it's such a comforting place to go to after a long hike. We recently held an event here and it was fabulous. The servers were accommodating, the food came out at a timely manner, and the space was prepared just how we needed it to be! We'll be back :)

My husband and I hosted our wedding reception at Hunters Head this weekend and it was an incredible evening. The food was delicious and the staff were so kind and accommodating. The outdoor patio was perfect for a large dinner party. We couldn’t be happier with how everything went and are so grateful we chose Hunters Head for our special day! We look forward to returning on anniversaries to come.

Hunter’s Head was absolutely amazing!! I went here for an anniversary dinner with my Boyfriend and it was just so delicious. We sat in the patio and it was so romantic! Our wait staff was also so kind. We already want to come back :)) We highly recommend the steak frites as it is some of the best french fries we have ever tasted! Also, the chocolate cake is fantastic. Our favorite thing is that all the food is locally sourced from their farm just down the road!

Loved, loved, loved eating at Hunters Head Tavern. I had the steak and frites and hubs had the same. I had a delicious Atlas draft beer and he had an equally yummy IPA. Our steaks were cooked properly and tastefully. The fries are hand cut and perfectly salted. The arugula salad was particularly tasty. I thought $34 for the meal was very reasonable considering it was beef sirloin and locally grown. Our server, EMILY, was wonderful. She gave us good recommendations for food, listen to me complain about a vexing client, and brought out our food FAST when it was sill hot and Delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed eating here. So will you. Please excuse the fork in fork in the pictures. We could wait to take a bite!

Outside seating on a lovely day made this a pleasant experience. The food was overall pretty solid. The specials were tasty, especially the grilled cheese with short rib. It's a bit expensive - upper 25+ for most dishes at lunch.

My beef patty was very uniquely made. Yes they do have IPA. The unsweet tea was good very authentic. I wish I had more time to spend but I had to go!

Best French Dip ever. Shrimp salad was delicious too. Our server, Jacob, was awesome. Good drinks and a great patio.

We went here for Mother’s Day brunch. It was very good. The food was tasty and the service was great. It was a long drive from DC, but very nice to be in the country side. The steak and eggs were good, eggs over cooked a bit. The roasted Brussels sprouts were excellent. And the peanut butter pie awesome! The bloody mary was one of the best I’ve had. Not too spicy. I’d definitely recommend this place.

Service was slow, but food was good. I do wish they used lamb instead of beef for their shepherd’s pie, otherwise I would have ordered it. Food is high quality, and the drinks selection is decent. Would love to see more ciders (especially British ones) on the menu. Loved the ambiance, as it reminded me of the pubs in the UK. I can imagine how cozy it must be in the colder months.

First time here, greeted warmly by the hostess and given excellent service by our server. I ordered the french toast which looked too good to pass up and my wife ordered fish and chips. Both dishes were amazingly delicious. We plan on coming back in the near future. Update: came back here for an anniversary celebration. Ailish was a fantastic server. The food was amazing as always.

Wonderful experience from the moment we parked outside. The exterior is beautiful and as a bonus was nicely decorated for Halloween. Authentic interior decor experience worth coming. Food is delicious and we will for sure be back! We enjoyed every moment. There’s a dog friendly patio with seating outside if you want to bring your furry friend. Conveniently located about 30 minutes from Ashburn. We highly recommend!

What a superb pub! It literally feels like one is in the Cotswolds or similar. The food is excellent and the choice of beer and wine is as eclectic as such an establishment should be. The fish and chips, chicken pot pie and French dip are all wonderful. Beautiful chips (fries). We visited here on a recent 1700 mile road trip, that included diverting our return leg to pay a second visit. I 100% recommend!

The food is beautiful, fresh and light. The chicken pot pie is as good to look at as it is to eat. The French dip paired with the VA wine was exceptional. Great location and use of their outdoor space.

Home away from home. This is probably more traditional in appearance than many of the pubs in the UK. The food was hit and miss. The French dip sandwich was great. The burger was sloppy and had a grainy texture to it. We were also served a chocolate covered strawberry sundae which was supposed to have hot fudge sauce but instead had Oreos, mint chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate sauce. The waitress assured us this was in fact a strawberry sundae. Finally the sticky toffee pudding was stodgy and sweet but a little dense compared to puddings in the UK.

This place is so charming. It really has an authentic feel, probably because it is a historic building. The people were wonderful the only thing was the food was very hit and miss for me. The Brussels sprouts were actually freaking AMAZING I could have just had bowls of this and been happy and gave this place 5 stars but I also had the chicken pot pie, which is actually deconstructed version. With the soul in a bowl and a flaky pastry sitting on top and the pot pie middle was so bland you needed the buttery pastry to give it flavor but there wasn’t enough pastry. The sticky toffee pudding was very stodgy. The flavors were there but the cake was dry and hard and not pudding texture at all.

Closest thing to a UK pub we've been to in the Washington area. Great selection of beer on tap and nice outdoor courtyard. Dinner reservations are a must as they book up fast. I really enjoyed the steak Frittes

Great meal in a unique atmosphere, our group of 4 had the BLT (2), fish & chips, and lobster salad. We also had peach sorbet served in a frozen peach, and an individual bundt cake with custard for dessert. The service was excellent, and will definitely stop back when we are in the area.

Delicious food. Great outdoor garden seating. Our table's favorite was the French dip sandwich. We also enjoyed cod and chips -- delicious batter on the fish and house-made fries. Strawberry summer salad with lemon poppyseed dressing made eating salad quite enjoyable, too! 2023 update: Still five stars. Spring seasonal salad and mushroom quiche special did NOT disappoint! Solid customer service.

Super cute ambiance, but food was just OK, nothing that had us excited for more. Service was great, and they seem to have a solid following, as it was full on a Tuesday night. Luckily we got there early enough that we didn’t have to wait for a table as a walk in guest. Also, we thought we were there for trivia but they didn’t play, so another thing I was kinda disappointed about. Doubt we will go back, but glad we gave it a try. Would recommend if you go to make a reservation.

Food was very tasty, very interesting place to eat. We ate inside but the outside is perfect - covered, good for bringing your doggos. Server was attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely would come here again

After a hike with friends we stopped here for a few drinks and food. The calamari was perfect, had the perfect crunch just the way I like it. The country fried steak ? was great.
