I had a great experience with Willie from Al’s Towing. There was a small misunderstanding, but he cleared it up quickly and with such professionalism. He was incredibly kind, patient, and responsive throughout the entire process. Thank you, Willie, for your outstanding service!
They trapped people. Watch out when you park your car look exactly what is behind if there is a sign or not. You can fight if there wasn't a sign before you parked and later on they just plot a new sign.
Very bad people I said because. They added a new handicap sign in our parking lots. They didn't inform or notice, nothing.
I parked my car earlier in the morning without a handicap sign. And the next day early in the morning. They towed my car. And the handicap sign just popped up.
Don't be greedy too much. Do the right thing.
Had a great experience overall with Al Towing .Dave was an expert got my car to the destination with no damage. Came and towed my car within 20 minutes. Pleasant experience will use again. Cost might might be higher than normal, but the fact that they take care of your car is more important.
I understand that towing companies get a bad rep because people are upset. But the woman on the phone was absolutely foul to me. I was upset, and I understand that I was not as pleasant on the phone as I strive to be. However, telling someone who suddenly doesn’t have a car “Well, maybe NEXT time you could try a visitor’s pass.” is flat out rude. Then they charged 50 bucks for a ten minute drive in gas. At least processing was quick and easy.
The dispatcher at the front desk was extremely rude and disrespectful. She is a very angry person and called me many profanities. I've never had an experience like this and was shocked at the unprofessional and beligerant nature of this woman. She needs to be fired immediately.
Five stars for how kind Andy was in towing my car that wouldn’t start out of a garage and taking it to my mechanic’s shop.
After waiting in a parking garage for 4 hours because AAA cancelled on me three times, I called Al’s Towing. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and responsive when I made a follow-up call. She had Andy dispatched and at my vehicle within 30 minutes.
Andy put my car in neutral and pushed and coasted it out of the garage so he could tow it. After having several AAA drivers cancel on me, Andy’s kindness and warm personality made me want to cry in relief.
I don’t know how much other tow companies typically cost, but their rate was $150 + $10 for gas + $5/mile. My total ended up being $175, but price wasn’t a concern for me since AAA will be reimbursing it.
Thank you, Al’s for being so efficient and helping me easily wrap up what had been a long and frustrating situation.
If I could give 0 stars I would. The girl at the front desk has a horrible attitude and has no customer service knowledge whatsoever, the place reeks of cigarettes and good luck even trying to talk because they just want to argue. Unfortunately had to deal with them because a visitors car got towed out of the visitors spot we put them in. USE HENRYS TOWING!!! Henrys is right down the street from these people and are actual kind courteous human beings. Have had many wonderful experiences with them despite them towing me a few times.

I had such a terrible experience getting my car towed in a parking garage (in which I had a parking permit) and I was fined $230 when I parked at a spot where the business's operating hours were over. I'm pretty convinced this towing company lives off of scamming people and I have absolutely no idea why it should cost $230 to park somewhere no one would have parked anyway. Question to the employees: How does it feel to work for a place that ruins people's day?
Towed the car that was a 3 minute drive away (0.3 miles) and charged $30 for fuel. An additional $30 for night and another $30 for weekend. Overall towing cost was $230 with other fees. Place is a total scam and steals $$. Worst part is that we even had a parking permit for the parking garage and they still towed the car. Lastly the office smells like pure cigarettes too.
Soooo…they towed my car from my apartment complex even though I have a parking decal , have an ADA placard displayed and was parked in an authorized ADA Parking space , and they stated I was on a visitors pass and had been parked there for over 24 hrs (although security footage shows me parking there for the first time ever less than 18 hrs ago. Companies like this either need to be left in a smoldering heap or sued into oblivion.
Another scum towing company that tows cars that have every right to park at the spot. They don’t accept their mistakes and charge a ridiculous rate! I hope they go bankrupt and get shut down. They’re scammers.
Tiny, scandoulous towing company just looking to grab a quick buck where they can. My rental car was left outside a store for days and there was no issue from any building owner or other towing company, until they wanted to come along.
Tried to bluntly explain to the childish front desk girl that if there is not a sign saying someone cant park, then they cant be penalized. There are posted signs for a reason, otherwise what would be the need. A company isn't private if anyone can come to it. Private and Public dont mean the same thing. Therefore a sign would be posted if the owner wouldn't want people at certain times. She couldn't handle me calling this out and caught an attitude and was eyeing me like she wanted to hit me. Laughable and sad. Beware of them.
As mentioned by so many people these people are just waiting to get an opportunity to charge people whatever they want and steal as much money from you as possible.. Car was towed from our own complex.. They are rude and do not accept credit cards. Bloody scammers. Minus stars should be allowed for these people.
I had an unfortunate event happen where I parked my car in the public parking lot across from my friend's house. I've left my car there for 3-4 days many times or even visited and stayed there many times at a time. Unfortunately I was unaware the weekends are free but weekdays wasn't and my car was towed. I thought it was stolen but because of the location it was and the parking lot is federal they have their own police etc. I called and explained my situation and the gentleman and woman there were very kind when they didn't have to be and allowed a discounted price so I can get help through resources to help me get my car out. I'm not from here and never experienced this. I've heard stories but never been in this situation. I'm a student in nursing school and a single mother this is the last thing I needed. But I'm grateful for the kind hearts who really didn't have to lower the pricing for me. Thank you so much. I've been very stressed out and worried I wouldn't have a car again.
SCAM… they towed my car where there is no towing board… and vulgar people, the only words that came out of their mouth is “$230 cash to card.”

There should be an option for zero stars. As other people have stated, this is a predatory company that scours parking lots in the middle of the night to basically steal your vehicle and then charge you whatever they want to release it to you, or even threaten you with not releasing your car because you dared to question the legality of their practices. My car was towed from my own condo complex when I have a permit to park there. Their excuse was that the vehicle was facing out instead of in. Not one single sign says that you have to park facing in and nobody from management called to have the vehicle towed. I don’t know how these kind of companies are allowed to operate this way. It’s a total SCAM and their staff know it is which is why they are so rude and aggressive to you when you have to deal with them.
My service center messed up and didn’t reattach my front end properly. JR from Al’s came to tow my car back to the dealer, and he was beyond courteous. Quick service and great company on a difficult day.
Al's Towing is one very Professional outfit, they moved my 68' Chevy truck to a new location for work within 1.5 hours of my call. Technically the rear diff. on my truck was locked up, but the recovery tow driver was able to safely and quickly solve the problems with dropping it in just the right spot. Their rates are excellent, their service is better. They keep their rigs and trucks clean and shiny, and the pride is backed up. Call them!
Fast and friendly service. Looks like they had a wide variety of tow trucks there and plenty of drivers. Didn't have to interact with many of them, but the ones I met were a bit standoffish - however they did point me in the right direction so I'm not complaining much about that.
Als Towing is amazing. Customer service is great. We have a repair shop & need help for customers that are having an already bad day. These guys use scummy towing tactics. They towed my father's car and took out the parking permit from the rear windshield, the tape residue can still be seen where the permit was originally. On our receipt they were about to write the reason for the tow was due to the parking permit being a "fake," but they crossed that out and wrote "stolen permit." I get that at the end of the day these guys are just doing their jobs like everybody else, but when they use sleezy tactics like this in order to make some quick cash, I stop feeling sympathy and just feel downright disgusted.
When unable to drive my automobile due to unexpected brake issues, Mercedes-Benz of Alexandria had my automobile towed to their dealership by Al's Towing & Storage Inc. I received a phone call giving me an ETA and the driver, Steve, called when he arrived. Steve was courteous and knowledgeable. I rode with him to the dealership and his calm demeanor helped me to better handle an unexpected emergency. Steve is an asset to the company!
This company is designated to tow illegally parked vehicles from my neighborhood. When I attempted to call and report such a vehicle, I was put on hold with no explanation. I then attempted to call back and asked why I was put on hold for so long, to which the receptionist told me she was "...too busy to deal with your call". She warned me that she would hang up on me and promptly did. The bar for towing company customer service is already set pretty low in my mind but this one surprised me. If they want to throw away money because the lazy, disrespectful, ignorant receptionist doesn't feel like doing her job then that's their loss.
1 star very much undeserved. Towers wait in parking lots across the street from lots where nonexistent signs supposedly indicate “no parking!” On our way out of the parking lot, after my friend had been towed, we watched as two more cars were being towed for the exact same purpose. Even placing this aside, the lady at the attendant’s desk dodged our questions and admitted to the predatory towing tactics previously mentioned. She also flat out lied to us that store managers called to complain about people parking in these spaces and have their cars towed. I understand towing companies need to make money, doing so through such unethical practices without so much as a warning sign is an abomination to American businesses everywhere.
Do not call these guys don’t care if they are free. Complete jerks. My truck broke down on 495. Wait an hour for someone to show up. The guy comes out has a complete attitude and is going to give me a hard time. My trucks broke down don’t you think I have enough aggravation as it is? So I told him I don’t need you I will find some one else and that is currently what I am doing. Hands down the worst company in the world. DO NOT CALL!!!!!!!!
