It was nothing short of a miracle that I found Auto Stop yesterday. The anxiety I experience when looking for an honest, affordable shop to address my concerns about my car is paralyzing. When I called, I spoke with Erica who was professional, knowledgable, patient and helpful. I was able to bring my car in within 2 hours of the call and my headlights were replaced in under an hour. I will return tomorrow for a tire rotation and have designated Auto Stop Falls Church as my primary auto shop. They provide you with a comprehensive diagnostic for free and will provide you with a report that prioritizes identified issues - they do not pressure you or intimidate you into thinking if you don't get this fixed now, you're minutes away from calamity. Erica also made me feel comfortable because she provided me with clarity as both a service rep AND experienced mechanic. This was the best experience I've had in years and my nerves - and wallet - have relaxed. Highly recommended.
I was towed in with a dead alternator. They tested the new one extensively to make sure it worked, which was good, because it was faulty! As this would keep my car over the weekend and extend my hotel stay by an extra night, Bill gave me a discount and offered a loaner car for the weekend at no charge. And he even stayed about 15min past close (on a Friday no less!) to get me the loaner! They also gave my car a once-over, and pointed out things that were *actually* in need of repair (some fluids and my rear brakes), and didn't try to convince me to do it on the spot when it wasn't needed. I wasn't upsold on anything I didn't need, every interaction was respectful and friendly. Everything was explained to me with clarity and in detail. Fantastic experience to get me out of a bad situation!
I was pleasantly surprised to find this shop. My car was having engine problems and I took it to this shop for evaluation. High level of communication, reasonable prices and excellent customer service. They were even nice nice enough to pay for my Lyft ride to and from my house. I would highly recommend them.

My favorite place ever. I have a 2016 Range Rover Evogue and the dealership charged me 3x what this place charged me for a brake fix. They cater to everything needed for my car and have snacks! LOL! I love Bill and everyone in the establishment is so personable and professional. I definitely recommend.
I would recommend this shop to anyone that needs Auto work. I had a catalytic converter that they put in that didn’t work. They ordered a new one. Put it in. No cost to me. Plus they will send a LYFT to pick you up. Take you home and pick you back up when the car is finished!! Great customer service all around. If I could give them 10 stars I would.
Friendly guys and great service. They honored the warranty on my brake pads no hassle. They didn't try to sell me fluid changes I didn't need. When I had to replace a tire, they didnt try to replace all of them when it wasn't needed. Fast and communicative.
My battery had died and Lucas came within the hour to jump start and take my car to the shop. Free diagnostic and broke down the costs for each repair. Excellent service
They do Quality Work , are good people and very knowledgeable.. It is also much cheaper here compared to Many other shops in this area that take advantage of the market trend of everything being 3 times more then it should be.. They replaced my water pump and Timing belt the same day I came and like I said saved me A lot...
I showed up thinking they sold jumper cables as my car didnt start, and the owner Ted personally drove 15 mins to where my vehicle was with a jump box. They are absolutely professional and caring. 10/10 would recommend

By far the best auto shop I have ever used. Their customer service is top notch, their pricing seems very reasonable and transparent, and scheduling is very easy. They are very community focused and are obviously committed to their customers. Couldn’t ask for anything more in a local auto shop.

I live in Florida but Hurricane season I keep my car and campervan in Arlington and this summer ran over a nail they fixed it and worked with my warranty company then a headlight blew out, they fixed that too. Getting a lube and oil change today. Happy to have found a place to take my vehicles in the summer
When I told them that some required maintenance was abit out of my budget, they didn't try to scare me into doing it. I was given a realistic explanation of how long I have and what kind of problems I might face if I prolong it but most importantly that I did have time. A mechanic you feel you can trust is worth everything and I will be coming back again!

As a extremely cautious individual when it comes to auto shops, this place is trustworthy and non-predatory. When they give you a quote, they honor it even if other issues arise.
They are the most transparent shop I've ever been to and list in detail all the work and always ask for consent prior to any work being done on the vehicle. There are no surprise fees or charges and they never tampered with my vehicle.
Their staff is extremely friendly and helpful and can usually get you in the schedule the next business day.
They offer free rentals and will even call an Uber/Lyft for you while they work on your vehicle.
I've had welding performed, exhaust work, electrical work and inspections done on my vehicle and I couldn't be happier with their services.
This was an excellent experience overall. Erika who assisted me was so helpful, lovely and wonderful. They provided a ride to and from home while my car was services. I highly recommend this business!
Had a leaky brake line and brakes were failing, visiting from out of town. Called the Sister shop in Arlington and they could not fit me in and referred me to this location. Could not have been better! They were able to take care of my issue and get me back on the road pronto. They even had a loaner I could use because my part had to be ordered. Fantastic service great customer care you will not go wrong with this outfit.
Auto Stop does an excellent job on making repairs. They also do an inspection and take pictures to inform you on what’s past and what needs to be worked on you. You won’t find this kind of care with any other mechanic shop let alone dealers.
Be sure to check that the work was done correctly. Had I not done my due diligence and checked the original work I would not have known that parts were not properly attached the way they should have been and other parts missing. They did get it right after that. They are very friendly and helpful at the front desk. Be sure to ask for their Lyft service if you need a ride. I wasn't offered this service initially, but got it after asking for when they offered it to the guy ahead of me. On my third trip back, I was really getting frustrated, and after I hinted at a credit for all the trips I had to make to get the job done correctly, they offered a $100 credit on the $1100+ invoice. That was nice of them.
Came here after my usual dealership gave me incorrect info which resulted in me driving for half a year on an active oil leak. Bill helped me out with all of my car issues, got my car state inspection completed, AND got the price down significantly from what would have been over a thousand dollars. Genuinely amazing. Great shop to deal with! I was so happy that I found a shop that near my place, and since they also offer rider back to my house a couple times back and forth since i live near by was also a plus! They are professional in their works(showing pics diagnosed) and the price is reasonable! Will definitely recommend and come back if needed for any services.

I recently went to AutoStop to get winter tires installed on my car. The team was professional, efficient, and got everything set up quickly.
Not long after leaving, I had an issue with one of the tires and called them right away. They immediately sent someone to help, checked out the situation, and arranged for my car to be towed. On top of that, they made sure I got a ride home so I wasn’t stuck.

I’ve been coming here for about fifteen years, and they’ve consistently been careful with my money. They’re always willing to explain which recommended repairs are urgent or safely issues, and which can wait. They have never tried to shame or pressure me when I haven’t been able to afford everything right away. When I’ve called around to other shops to compare estimates before authorizing a repair, Auto Stop always has fair prices.

We are out of town visiting from Florida and unfortunately picked up a nail while touring around the city. We called the local dealer and they told us they could get us in in 2 weeks, for a tire repair. After a few more phone calls and no luck I called Toms Auto Stop shop and spoke to Brandy. They were extremely busy as well but she understood our urgency and was able to get us in for a 3pm and get the tire fixed while we waited near by. We had our 4 kids and 2 dogs with us so this was such a huge help. When we walked back over to pickup the car she had snack bags for each of us and even treats for our dogs! I just wish they were closer to home.
