Well kept grounds, and the gift shop has very affordable gifts.

Operating hours Information on Google needs to be updated by the property. It says "open every day." We visited on Indigenous Peoples Day and we found that there are no tours on Mondays and Tuesdays. While technically it is "Open" in that you can walk into the visitors center and pay $10.00 to walk or drive onto the property you can not go into any other buildings. We were told that the information on Google is not correct and that we should have known to go to the official website. If the organization knows that the Google information is incorrect, it is their responsibility to update Google. By the way, we could not even walk through the displays in the visitor center because they had just started cleaning the carpet. Also, gift shop was not open. If you can't really visit the property on Mondays and Tuesdays, they should just change their status on Google to "closed" on Monday and Tuesday to save people the drive.

Beautiful property with plenty to explore

The front desk staff did not seem as informed as they should be. It seems they over monetize this place for a non-profit.

Did a fossil hunt at Stratford cliffs had an amazing time. That hill tho ?

I don't usually visit plantations. They are often preserved scenes of glossed-over human tragedy and violence. Stratford tells the stories of the famous Lees as well as ALL the people whose lives revolved around Stratford Hall.

I come here all the time and would highly recommend visiting and checking out the grounds, and even staying in the lodging accommodations they have on site! I throughly enjoy every visit

Always a pleasure going to Stratford, if you are not a member of Friends of Stratford I suggest it. The place is so full of history, culture and memories, wonderful experiences. Stop by and check it out

Great! Helpful staff. More than one way for tours!

A day trip to Stratford Hall is just what is needed this Fall. This historic site has so much to offer. Although the water is quite chillyright now, the walk to the beach and foliage walking there is fantastic. Take the trip, and take a stroll outside.

Beautiful plantation. Well appointed visitor center.

The setting is beautiful and the home is filled with period history. The self guided tour has a headset setup that is started at each stop offering excellent historical information. Great for history buffs.

Not general Lee's home but his first place. He vacate ID at about three and a half. Still really an interesting historical experience to see what that period lived like.

Stratford Hall is very historic well-maintained treasure worth the trip.

Excellent place for a day trip to learn some history. Docent gave a nice walking tour. Good lunch to be had on the grounds or in montross at angelos or art of coffee.
