Had my VW for over 1 year and all they wanted was more and more money and brought it back to me on a flat bed because they couldn’t do the brakes which were initially their job to do! Said I needed part after part which I ordered from Jbugs myself and delivered personally to them. Excuse after excuse and all I wanted to do was have it roll down the street and be able to stop! A complete rip-off!

We sincerely regret that your recent visit to East Side Rides did not meet your expectations. We take concerns like this seriously because transparency and trust are cornerstones of how we do business - especially when it comes to performance vehicles that can have unique mechanical needs.
We understand how frustrating it must have been to travel long distance and you felt that your concerns were not fully addressed. While our goal is always to represent each vehicle accurately and to resolve any questions on the spot, it's clear we fell short in your case - and for that, we truly apologize.
However, during the test drive, you were concerned about a whining sound when shifting from one gear to the next gear. That is what is known as a supercharger whine and is normal as we tried to explain that to you.
We dropped the sales price by $3,000.00 before you even saw the vehicle in order for you to even get properly approved to purchase the vehicle. You would not have been approved if we were not willing to be flexible on the price. The vehicle was already priced well below its value, considering the modifications, and the Camaro has less then 25,000 miles. No further negotiation was needed. In fact, when you were informed about the price drop and that we could not lower the price anymore, you stated that you were not trying to negotiate the price down further.
We did bring a mechanic out to explain any and all concerns that you had with the vehicle. There is no lifter tick, nor was the concerned ever mentioned to us while you were on-site. The belt tensioner was tight and showed no sign of slippage while the car was running. In addition, if the tensioner was loose, you would see signs of wear and tear on the belt. As far as the air conditioner concerned, we offered, in the deal, to cover the cost for a dealership to charge the system. This is a 15 year old vehicle, and normal maintenance will be required. This vehicle was not only state inspected by a third-party dealer, but also inspected and repaired by a third-party vendor that specialized in supercharger installs. A copy of the receipt was provided to you.
A Service Contract was included in the deal to provide you with extra coverage and peace of mind. With all used vehicles, we highly recommend a service contract as you dont know what mechanica, electrical or components will need to be repaired/replaced down the road. I'm not sure why you found this to be negative in your review. The warranty was amended to support a modified vehicle.

Avoid This Dealership – Shiny Car, Shady Tactics
I drove over 4 hours to see a 2010 Camaro SS they had listed at a premium price — it looked amazing, but mechanically, it was a different story. The car had a clear lifter tick, supercharger belt slippage, and non-functional A/C — all issues I personally witnessed during the test drive with the salesman in the car.
Despite this, the salesman refused to acknowledge any of it, and instead walked away multiple times to “call a mechanic.” He came back saying he spoke to the mechanic supposedly claiming the car was fine — yet no one ever looked at the vehicle, and no inspection was done.
I calmly explained the situation and pointed out that the third-party GWC warranty they were pushing would likely deny any claims due to the vehicle being heavily modified — which it was.
They made zero effort to investigate or address the issues, offered no willingness to negotiate, and relied on sales theater rather than honesty. If you’re looking for a performance car and expect integrity, transparency, or even basic mechanical understanding, I suggest you take your business elsewhere.
The car may look impressive, but when sellers are this dismissive of obvious mechanical problems — and still try to push a warranty that wouldn’t apply — it’s a serious red flag.
I had the best experience at East Side Rides. I talk to Justin and he was very quick with a response back to the car I was interested in. And he even went further to get the deal done even those they were closed on Saturday. Justin was straight forward told me everything i needed to know about the car and took care of everything. This is great Dealership with top notch cars.
Sorry for the delay in posting my review of the work done on my 1967 Camaro.
Several months ago the team at East Side Rides did a Great job when they redid the mini tubs , installed a new gas tank, cleaned and painted the underside of the the car, installed new shocks, rebuilt the entire brakes and all the time working with me closely making sure my needs were met during the entire process. Each of these guys chipped in to bring this car back. I would not hesitate to have them work on any of my cars or trucks and will definitely refer my friends to these guys.

Great experience working with these guys, I couldn't believe the quality of the restoration work on my '65 Mustang. Definitely would recommend if you're looking to get quality work done from people that actually care about your vehicle. They also sent detailed progress photos during the restoration which was a great bonus.
Don't Believe any good reviews for this place. They have a face to show you when you go in for work. Family owned, local, cut you a deal type business. Once you get your vehicle in though completely different story. They will give you an estimate that sounds nice but will continually ask for more money verbally and not include an increase to the statement. They will take all the money they can from you and do the most minimal amount of work they can get away with. I'm sure more than one customer has left East Side Rides the same way I have. A car with little to no work done and multiple of thousands taken. Do not trust these people they will steal the money that funds your dream car.
East side rides, is a great family owned business. I got some body work done on my 64 mustang and they were very professional and gave me a fair price. The owners were honest and transparent with cost estimates and the final price.
Randy and his team at East Side Rides did a fantastic job removing the rust and road grime from the frame and under carriage of my 1993 Ford F-350 and then finishing it with a show quality undercoating and paint on my exhaust system. All work to my truck was completed in the time promised (3 weeks) and at the price we agreed upon (no changes). Highly recommend East Side Rides for high quality affordable automotive restoration services
