Folks here are good and honest. We drove from Miami, FL to Christiansburg, VA and on our way, our car broke down right next to Allen’s Garage on a Sunday on Father’s Day. Although closed they stated we could leave our truck there. Very rare to find folks that are easy going and understanding. Thank you all for figuring out what was wrong with it and go from there. This town really left an impression on us. We will never forget this community.
This place and people were amazing to work with. We were headed down 77 to Charlotte and the last hour and a half left our car engine started to misfire. With it being Memorial Day, we were able to leave it and get a hotel for the night. Brian was able to get our car checked out first thing in the morning and replaced the coil and spark plug. He even went out of his way to pick us up at the hotel we are staying out. Amazing! He explained everything to us and helped us get back on the road. Appreciate this shop and would definitely recommend.

I'm on my way back to New Hampshire after premiering Rosemary ATU310 at the Stone Soup Storytelling Festival in Woodruff, SC. I have a full three days to make the trip, and what with the storm damage, I got barely any time on the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC. So, I headed up to Fancy Gap to enjoy the Virginia section. But Grateful Vardo wouldn't start when I stopped to fill up. I was stopped just 50 yards from the open Parkway ramp, but the Starter was fried. The attendant at Cockerham's recommended Allen's, and less than three hours later, I was playing my flute up at the Cahas Mountain overlook. Yup. Sometimes life is just about perfect.

Wonderful garage we got a flat on our rv during hurricane 🌀 Ian and called Allen's Garage to come out and change a tire. The gentleman that came out Brain was very prompt and change the tire with in minutes 😀 come to find out we needed another tire and he went out of his way to get another one for us. Thank 😊 you so much Brain for your wonderful service. We appreciate everything you have done.
I contacted Allen's garage about welding a door back onto a smoker that had rusted off. The gentlemen who answered the phone offered to take a look at it. After taking the smoker to the garage, we received a call from him just a couple of hours later telling us the welding of the door had been completed. He charged us a fee for his work and the door worked like new. This was exceptional service for a job that I am sure the garage had never done before. I can't thank them enough and we certainly recommend them. The gentlemen, who I can't remember his name, was so very nice and helpful. 5 stars is not enuf for the service he did.
Called to inquire about some work being done, the guy I spoke to was super rude and unprofessional. Based on this interaction alone I'd recommend not doing business here.
- the manager came 10 miles and moved me 5 feet and charged me 100.00 and said that was his standard rate. Then when I called back asking why I was charged so high he said there was no standard rate and that they didn't tow pruis's. I drive a Prius and I have the bank statement and phone call to prove it was the manager from this establishment. This place ripped me off and the manager is completely unethical!
We were camping at Fancy Gap when axle seal blew on a Friday. Allen's took us back to the campground, replaced seal and brake pads and brought truck back to us by 5o'clock same day. Can't say how grateful we were. Nice to find folks who still have strong work ethic!
Saved me on a Saturday! Got me back on the road in two hours even after having to order the part! Correctly diagnosed the problem and made sure I could safely get back home to get it fixed. Thank you!
Wheel bearing on the vehicle went out on the way to the Midwest. Luckily we found this diamond in the ruff gem Allen's garage and towing who fix our truck with percision and perfection. While we waited we visited the diner next door, fresh food at a cost very affordable. Wish I could give both locations more than 5 stars. Excellent service all around.
Had a transmission fluid leak on our way north and luckily stopped at gear head diner which is also great by the way alens wife runs the diner and alens has a mechanic shop out back after I ordered I drove around back and asked him if he could check it out and so I left it with him and went back to the diner and ate well by the time we were done eating he was finished and it was only 50. For his speedy repair thanks alens for great service
