Says I missed three appointments this year back July is not this year one I called in before my scheduled appointment now or they are refusing to see me and they always want to give you a new doctor when you’re there. You don’t never see the same one very rude when you were talking with scheduling.
Was told to avoid an x-ray because of radiation. Dr Elza was rude didn't listen misdiagnosed me and put information in my chart that was completely untrue that I now have to live with. I was about to file mal practice on them my lawyer said I had a case but my better half talked me down. I honestly would rather die than go back here though.
I see Dr. Elza and she is the best GP that I have ever had. She listens and it is so clear that she truly cares. Her nursing staff is also amazing! I highly recommend!
I usually see matt, one time i had to see Dr. Rea. That lady had little care or compassion for my concerns about my anxiety and focusing. ive see similar reviews about this same lady. i left worse than i came because of the disinterest she had in my problems.
I saw Dr. Rea at the end of last year and my experience was terrible. She was very condescending. I had concerns about having ADHD because of struggling really hard to focus on most things. It is important to note that during this conversation I mentioned that I was studying to become a book editor. Instead of looking into it my ADHD concerns, she decided to tell me that we would “wait and see what happens with that” AND “if you’re having trouble focusing then I don’t think being a book editor will be a good career choice for you.” And that has stuck with me until now and has left a very bad taste in my mouth. So much that I have left Carilion for good.
Come to find out about a month later at LEWIS GALE, I was severely iron deficient with anemia, have been seeing a hematologist since February, and am now getting an iron infusion next week after oral iron has not been working for 7 months. *And this would explain why I was having trouble focusing.*
I say all of this to say, thank god I was smart enough to never see this doctor again because I’d probably still be sitting here with an iron saturation of 6% and ferritin at 8.7 with no oxygen being carried around in my blood, and I am currently thriving as a book editor. ?
*Edited to add: The computers were down during my visit. She was more concerned about her computer not working than about me. Like she couldn’t be a doctor without her computer.
I really do enjoy both Kelli and Matt — they are both great at what they do. The front desks customer service skills are questionable at best. It really depends who you get and what day it is. I really don’t appreciate someone who thinks their job makes or breaks the entire office.
The office is also farther than a Centra facility. I’ve mostly kept this office as my primary due to being with them for so long, but may be switching in the New Year.
Never left a place more mad. They could've handled things differently by asking me questions as I was making an appointment instead of wasting my time. I have a seasonal allergy and cough yearly. It has nothing to do with covid. I get being safe but ask me about it as Im making an appt it wouldve saved me some time in my day. But thanks for making me delay starting work after being unemployed during an already tough time. Beyond frustrated and disappointed. Ive never had a pleasant experience here. Just done.
The receptionist, Kim, provides the worst customer service I have experienced in over 50 years. She interrupts as you are talking. She does not listen, she continually is trying to tell you what is wrong with what you may be asking. She does not smile, she looks as if she hates coming to work. Her way of talking down to people should be addressed. Her manner of receiving customers should be addressed. When I am trying to talk with her, I feel as if my questions and concerns do not matter. I consider these behaviors as rude.
My family have been going here for the last 14 years. I think I've been seen by just about every Dr. and nurse there and have never had a bad experience. We usually ask to see Matthew Schneider, P.A. to start with and he's terrific... calls in the Doctors if it's something more serious. Dr. Burri doesn't have the best bedside manner, but he knows his medicine and is always extremely professional. Dr. Cieraszynski is truly just a nice person and wonderful Dr who respects my wish to avoid medicines whenever possible and instead find more natural ways to treat pain, etc. This whole team of medical professionals have been there for my family through many difficult times and have never failed to be helpful, understanding and kind to us.
I have been going to this same office since I was little. A few years ago my doctor got switched to Dr. Cieraszynski. She has been great every time I've needed to come in. They're patient and are not pushy. The few times I've had to be seen due to an emergency they get me in quickly and help me the best way they can.
Dr. Laura was great. Both my husband and I had new patient visits, and she was thorough and made sure that all our questions were answered. As well, she made sure that we had the specialist referrals that we needed.
