A & JADS are true old school artisans and craftsmen. Jad’s knowledge of furniture and wood work is impressive. He did an amazing job repairing and old desk chair for me. I highly recommend them.

The depth of Jad's knowledge about restoration is one-of-a-kind. His couch cushion & fabric reupholstering he did for us remains in excellent condition after eight years of active use. Impressive indeed!

Highly recommended!!! A & JAD's reupholstered and touched up paining on an antique piano bench for me. The finished bench is much more comfortable and a bit sleeker than before, but they also did a great job staying true to the original look. Working around the mechanism that raises and lowers the bench didn't seem to faze them (when another store had actually turned me away because of it). I'm thrilled with the results, and enjoying playing piano even more with my new bench!

He's done a few repair jobs for us. If you want a beautiful result, this is the place to come. He is a perfectionist and may take a very slight bit longer than others, but the result is outstanding.

I had two living room chairs reupholstered. They came out great. I got the chairs back early. Very nice group to deal with. BF

Owner was belittling and disrespectful to any question I asked. I walked out the door knowing I’d never come back and try to find somewhere else who’s actually open to my opinion of what I want done.

I called A & JAD's for a sofa repair. Instead of forcing a sale, they provided instructions on how to repair it myself over the phone for free! Needless to say, I'll be reaching out to them if I ever have an issue I can't resolve myself! Thank you so much! The pictures show that the leg is no longer loose

The best upholstery and furniture refinishing shop. Quality work, quick turnaround, fair prices.

I brought in three chairs for work and from the start the owner was defensive, interrupting me and telling me what I needed to have done with the chairs regardless of what I stated. It was argumentative from the start and I should have seen that as my cue to leave. On one chair, the owner was adamant that I have the entire thing re-glued, but I insisted I only wanted the ear supports fixed. He wanted to repair the caining, but I declined, explaining that the chair is ornamental and not often used. (The caining has a few broken pieces which are not noticeable.) The work order that his wife prepared clearly said "Do not touch cain." In spite of this, he applied glue to the broken pieces and it looks awful. When I complained he told me he did extra work and I should be grateful. He said "do not touch cain" meant he would not recain the entire chair. Huh. Also, the business is 100% cash only with a deposit up front. I personally won't use this business again because the owner was so, so disrespectful. Perhaps that's because I am a woman. Anyway, lesson learned - too late.

I cannot recommend A & JAD's enough. I moved here this summer and have been waiting for a reclining sectional couch I ordered for 7 months. When it finally arrived, one of the pieces was broken. The choice was send the couch back without a timeline for a replacement, or keep the broken couch. I was devastated, to say the least. Until A & JAD's came to the rescue. Jad, the owner, was friendly and personable. He quoted me a reasonable price and together with his assistant, Henry, restored the broken piece to better than new. I am so incredibly greatful to finally have seating in my living room. Thank you so much!

I just hope this review will help someone and save them from all the troubles I had. I needed 4 chair seats fabric cover change and 1 area carpet cleaning when I went to this place. I ask the owner what he thinks chairs are needed. He check the seats, told me that only new fabric is needed and recommended one ,which I liked. So, for 4 chair seat fabric change and 1 area carpet cleaning needed, I was charged $520 cash only, paid in advance. I was told that chair seats will be ready in a weak or 2 and carpet in a month. After approximately 10 days the owner called me to tell me that chair seats are ready and that they had to do something extra so if could pay them $25 more. Fact that on the bill over $500 they are asking for $25 was ridiculous to me and I refused. They should have called and tell me that prior to work. Owner got angry and told me that He is in business for 20-30 years or something and that people usually believe him when he does that .I didn't care, it was matter of principles. I got my 4 seats ( had to say that new fabric looked really nice). After a week or so I was told that carpet is ready for pickup. When I was getting the carpet , the owner told me that he sprayed the carpet with something because it had wooly smell ( carpet never had that smell even brand new) . As soon as open the carpet at home, it looked bad . Chemical smell was really strong, carpet did not looked clean and had some little grass pieces even small rocks in it . Smell was so bad that, I promise, you would get dizzy if you are next to it. After 2 days it smelled even worse. I called them and told them that carpet is not washed at all 100%, owners wife told me that she watched it being washed twice ( obvious lie, who says that) . I wanted 200$ back that I paid for cleaning, they refused to give it and said that I can bring the carpet back so that they can wash it again. When I asked why is was not washed properly first time , the owner said some ridiculous story about drying it with hair dryer or something like that. My conclusion is that they got mad over $25 that I refused to pay, so they just sprayed my carpet with some chemicals and maybe brushed it a little. Obviously I paid different company to clean it ,and I would never do any business with these people. So if you have patience to deal with them, they might even do a good job .but expect paying in cash only, in advance, potential additional charges and of course no refunds no matter what.

Jad and his team did a wonderful job on four S-Chrome chairs we needed re-upholstered. Jad seems to have decades of experience rejuvenating old furniture as was evident throughout the process with his advice on what inner foam we should use and how he tackled the little challenges that came with removing the old fabric. If you want a team that will take their time to do the job properly with the right care and the right materials then you need to go here. We're ecstatic with the finished product and will definitely go back with any future upholstering needs.

Repaired a chair for me. Great work and quicker than they expected it would be completed.

I needed the legs of my living room chair refinished, so I called A & JAD’s and spoke to Jad himself. We immediately set up a time for me to bring in the chair. He was able to repair the legs within a week, which was faster than I expected. I would highly recommend A & JAD’s to others for their quality of work, promptness, customer service and reasonable pricing.

I had a badly damaged antique rosewood chair made in China. I went to two other places who said they couldn't or wouldn't fix it. The third place told me to go to A & Jads. He not only did an amazing job but the chair is better than it was when it was made new 100 years ago. Their work is worth every penny.

The caning fell through two of my antique chair bottoms and this shop performed the repairs. They did a great job. The seats are better now than they were before. I was price conscious but they worked with me on options to keep the restoration within my budget. They were very candid with me about the process to make the repairs, which I appreciated because I don't know anything about antique restoration. We ended up using cloth instead of caning for my seats. I learned a lot about antique furniture in the process of working with them. They kept me informed about timelines during the repairs. I would recommend this shop to anyone who has quality antiques that they would like to have long lasting repairs or restorations made for.

They’ve done several pieces of furniture for us and we’ve been very pleased. Caning a unique corner chair, rebuilding an antique fainting couch, all great. Very happy.

I dropped off 2 couch cushions that my dog had completely destroyed. I really didn't think there was any salvaging them. with him being a new puppy, we weren't ready to buy a new couch. took the cushions to A & Jad, and they fixed them both up, replaced the stuffing that had been destroyed, and put new zippers on them. they looked great. They even finished ahead of schedule. reasonably priced, and didn't try to take advantage of me at all. Will 100% be using them again and would definitely recommend them if you're looking for anywhere from a quick fix to reupholstering furniture.

We have an American Leather sofa that was no longer under warranty and needed buttons replaced. Staff was very knowledgable of the materials and did a fine job making new buttons and securing them to look just as the originals. Kind, family-operated business with very fair pricing. I will use A and Jad's again, particularly all of my upholstering.

Our brand new, 1-week old 8x10 carpet was damaged during a home repair to our hardwood floor. The contractor accidentally got finish/stain on the carpet, then bleach damaged it when attempting to clean it up with Resolve (which my wife TOLD him not to do!) We immediately tried to find someone who could repair the 4x6" mess that he'd made. Jad agreed to look at the carpet right away, and when he saw it in person he made it clear that he might not be able to salvage the damage but he would try. Within 4 days he had spot cleaned the carpet to remove the stain, and hand colored in the area where the bleach had lifted out the color. It looks great! Jad made what had been a traumatic experience (remember, this was a week old brand new carpet) much more bearable. The price was reasonable too, for which the contractor who will be paying for this repair should be grateful. Highly recommended!

We used Jad a few months ago for recaning of an ottoman and upholstering of two chairs. He really did a beautiful beautiful job. He guided us through what he thought was best to do, and then let us make up our minds. Both him and his wife were very nice and honest. Jad is a second generation in his family business and learned his skills since a child. I loved the experience and his place was like a museum. He sure is a character and in the conversation, at times, can come across as harsh, but he is truly a Maestro of his profession. I have upholstered furniture before, but honestly you can tell from far the pieces done by Jad. The quality and attention to detail of Jad's work is fascinating. Too bad that his son had just started the medical school and had no interest in his family business. Oh, well...I will happily use Jad' s service again.

I called A & JAD's to have someone come to our home to provide an estimate for our some very old 50's era furniture to have repaired and reupholstered after 50 years of use. This is the type of sturdy, quality furniture you can't buy anymore today. I was told there would be a charge of $125 to come to our home to provide an estimate which would be applied toward the cost of repairs if we chose to have the work done - no problem there. I understand that some businesses such as plumber, electrician, HVAC repair people, etc., charge to come to your home to inspect a situation and often times that "fee" is applied to the cost of the repair. I've got no problem with that. I agreed to the fee and then suddenly a gentleman gets on the phone explaining he wanted me to come to their store to pay them the $125 in advance, in person and bring a dining room chair as a "sample". Furthermore, they wanted me to bring photographs of the living room chairs and couch. I just don't see how someone can provide a reasonably accurate estimate on work and materials as well as labor cost based on the present condition of the items to be repaired without seeing them in person. The more I listened to the "rationale" of why this was necessary, the more I got the impression they didn't want to make the effort to earn my business. I mentioned to them I had a budget for these repairs and didn't want to pay 4 or 5k as that would be unreasonable to me - IF that's what these types of repairs / restoration might run Frankly, I don't see wha the problem is. They either provide a service or they don't. If that service doesn't entail coming to a potential cusomer's home to provide an estimate, that's alright, as well. However, TELL me you don't provide that service or telll me you do but there is a fee associated with a home visit. Don't provide me with a bunch of reasons why I have to show up in person at the store to pay this fee in advance and then provide photographs of the items to be repaired. How in the heck is anyone going to provide a reasonably accurate estimate on something they can't see or touch in person? They may do good work - I don't know, I've never used them, but I can say with 100% certaintly, my confidence has not been inspired by this encounter. I'm going to look for another business to restore our furniture. Someone who conveys they really don't want to take the time and make the effort to literally drive down the street, isn't going to get my business. Perception is reality and money talks.

My grandmother's Windsor style chair with rush seat was totally shot when I inherited it in 2004. I waited until I found the right place to fix it. The entire staff at A & Jads could not have been more friendly. My 90 year old chair gets another 90 years of life because of their close attention to detail and care for a family treasure. Glad to see when I picked up the chair today that the craftsman was teaching the next generation. I highly recommend the service, communication and attention to detail. Will be taking my next treasure in need of a pick up to A & Jad's.
