Went here for the first time in Feb this year. Tom, Nicole, and their dog Ember really welcomed my dog and I. Very hospitable hosts and went above and beyond for us. My dog had a blast playing with Ember and others. The location is also really convenient to get to Killington. Would definitely recommend and will be back. Try the maple syrup they sell there as well!

I recently stayed at Baileys Mills Bed and Breakfast in Vermont and it was such a wonderful experience. Nicole and Tom were incredibly kind and went out of their way to accommodate all of our needs. The home itself is full of history and you can feel the care that has gone into preserving its original charm. The property is absolutely beautiful with tons of classic New England charm. Everything is beautifully maintained. Our room was cozy and inviting and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful, welcoming, and memorable getaway.

What a wonderful place to spend a weekend in Vermont. Nicole and Tom are not only gracious hosts, but become fast friends with their guests. The building has an amazing history and historic feel but is still very comfortable for a stay. We were blessed to have a short visit there (and with them) and we're hoping to get back in the future.

The building has a great history and stunning views. The hosts are super nice and friendly. Can't wait to come back!

We had the most amazing and peaceful stay here at baileys mills. The location was perfect and the views were beautiful. Everything was so clean and put together and the service was great. Will definitely be coming back in the fall and winter!! Thank you Bailey Mills!

Bailey’s Mills is the perfect balance - few guest rooms across a large building, secluded property but a short drive from town and good restaurants, etc. The owners are incredibly nice, rooms are spotless, and beds are comfortable! We’ve stayed during winter and summer and honestly found both experiences to be equally wonderful. We will definitely be back again!!

Lovely rustic inn run by an even lovelier couple. I had all sorts of plans for the weekend but as soon as I saw the library those went out the window.

Aside from the great setting, the comfort, and the cleanliness, which all go without saying in this fantastic B&B, it’s the hospitality and the incredibly restored décor that truly set Bailey’s Mill apart from anywhere else I’ve stayed. The attention to detail in both the property and the warm, thoughtful hosting was superb. From the fresh cookies always available to the relaxed drinks on the porch each evening, every element made it feel like a special retreat. Calling this place a B&B honestly undersells it, it’s so much more than that. I couldn’t recommend Bailey’s Mill highly enough as a base for exploring Vermont. An absolute gem!

We stayed at Bailey's Mills for a long weekend getaway and are already planning our return. The B&B just reopened after thoughtful renovations under new ownership that carefully preserved its historic charm. From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the peaceful surroundings, the charm of the old mill, and the warm welcome from Tom and Nicole (and their sweet black lab, Ember!). Tom gave us a quick tour when we checked in and shared a bit of the mill's history--his passion for the place is infectious. You can really tell he cares deeply about preserving its character.||The room was cozy, spotless, and full of historic touches. Breakfast in the sunroom was a highlight each morning, especially the homemade quiche, croissants, and local eggs. We spent our days exploring trails, lounging by the swimming hole, and enjoying the quiet, natural beauty all around. It's rare to find a place that feels this authentic and personal. Bailey's Mills isn't just a B&B--it's a living piece of Vermont history. Can't wait to come back.

Barbara, the wonderful proprietor, has hosted us many times. This summer we had a family celebration at the B&B with about 18 of us staying. She never fails to make us welcome, amuse us, and satisfy us with a great breakfast in her charming, historic home.

I would highly recommend Bailey's Mills Bed & Breakfast. My husband and I enjoyed three nights there in July while visiting with family in Reading, Vermont. The 200+ year old house is steeped in local history. Because we were visiting with family, we didn't spend as much time at the B&B as we would have liked, but John's Room, was very comfortable. There are also two common rooms, the library and the parlor, that were decorated with period furniture. Each morning we enjoyed a full and delightful breakfast on the sun room. We were welcomed to the dining room with a table full of fruit, yogurt, jams and bread. Then Barbara, our hostess, offered us made-to-order omelets, waffles, muffins, etc. We would definitely go back there and spend some time exploring the beautiful grounds. Free secure Wi-Fi is available along with a tv in the parlor. Barbara is a most gracious hostess who filled us in on the history of the house and suggested places for us to visit during our stay.

We really enjoyed the hospitality and generosity of Barbara, the owner and innkeeper. We have stayed in many B&B’s around many parts of the U.S. and Europe and have always found that the host(s) dictate the personality of the establishment and Bailey’s Mills is no different. Barbara has created a warm, welcoming, comfortable and casual environment that makes staying there a joy. The location is quite and idyllic, the food is excellent and the room was comfortable and airy without being stuffy. We had to leave before breakfast one morning and Barbara had coffee and muffins waiting for us before we left. We could not have asked for more. Can't wait to go back.

This is just a great place to stay. Amazing history, beautiful natural surroundings, and a Vermont breakfast you will never forget. We had cheese and muffins before a sit-down egg/bacon breakfast and finished with real VT blueberry pie! Barbara, the owner/host, is everything you want and love about VT.

Barbara is a gracious host, that is full of information to make your stay pleasurable. We stayed 3 nights, breakfast was excellent everyday with plenty of variety. Stay long enough to do the usual tourist stuff. Then ask Barbara questions about local stops and take her recommendations. ||||Barbara is a interesting conversationalist. Sometimes you have to drill down to find out more than she might have otherwise shared, but it's worth it. Or you can just read the info on her website or the literature hanging around the house. ||||The honeymoon suite has more space than 4 would need, my wife and I had our son on the pull out couch. There were great views out the windows. The bathroom was huge, with a changing room. The decor was just right for the times, with a nice taste of the past. There is plenty to explore inside the house... the rooms, games, library, and general big old house stuff. My son really loved exploring the front yard cemetery, and the creek down back. SEE THE PICTURES we took||||There are many nice picture spots in, around, and near the house. ||||Location: If you want to stay in REAL Vermont, stay here. If you want to stay in some investor's limited fabricated version of Vermont, try the crowds at Stowe or Woodstock. Bailey's Mill B&B is off the beaten track, but easily close to major destinations. We did everything we came to do and more. ||||You will feel like a local, meet local people, shop local merchants, etc. This is a real town, capitalizing on tourism, that is also self sustaining. ||||Extra: It was snowing our last night there, which looked beautiful enough, but when Barbara turned on the lights outside (for our pleasure), it was a scene from Currier & Ives. It was a small gesture, but very thoughtful, and made a nice difference.

Bailey's Mills B & B is an excellent way to experience Vermont. We like to stay there and we live in VT! Barbara is an great hostess, serves up extraordinary breakfasts, and will do everything she can to make your stay memorable. And the Mill itself is a truly amazing structure, a veritable first rate historical museum, although one that is still alive and used daily. You've got to see it to really be able to appreciate how unusual it is. There's great walking in the rural neighborhood, a lovely stream right on the property, and, of course, a classy, country restaurant only a mile down the road. There is absolutely nothing missing from the experience it offers.

(I posted this review on yelp too) We stayed for a full week in mid-september, before the foliage tours began. The old farmhouse is huge, with warmly decorated rooms (all with their own baths) - we had the large suite on the second floor, with a couch in the bedroom, a full sunroom/porch attached, and a dressing room with shelves and an armoire attached to the large bathroom. There are magazines, books, local info brochures, and board games throughout the downstairs. We could be as private or as social as we wanted. Barbara was such a gracious host, and cooked such wonderful omelets and pancakes for breakfast! Fresh eggs from a nearby farm, veggies from the garden, and Vermont maple syrup - delicious. The addition of fruit, yogurt, and various breads and jams filled us up so much that we skipped lunch just about every day. Barbara was also able to put us in touch with some local historians (we were in VT/NH doing some research.) Bailey's Mills was a welcome home base for us for our week - a friendly host, a lovely home, beautiful surroundings. The B&B is off of VT Route 106, which has easy access to most of the tourist towns in the area. Highly recommended!
