What clients say about Smugglers Notch RV Village in Jeffersonville (VT)

Smuggle's Notch RV is a great location to stay when biking the Lamoille Valley Rail trail bike trail. The folks there are friendly and helpful with information about the area and rides. They worked with me to find a leveler location when the one I originally choose was quite unlevel.

We had two awesome trips to Smugglers Notch RV Village in 2025! The spot is amazing, and the owner and staff were super helpful and friendly, giving us awesome tips for checking out Vermont's views, drives, and stuff to do.

The campground is basically a field. There is no landscape of any kind. There are no laundry facilities, no pool and no feeling of privacy. The people were super nice, but the campground needs a lot of work to make it into a nice place to stay.

We stayed for 16 nights and loved it! Will (and Maple) were great and gave us a great deal of information on things to do in the area! Wonderful place to stay! RV sites were nice and big.

After a nerve-wracking drive through the Notch in our 29’ Class A, Smugglers’ Notch Resort RV Village was the perfect oasis for unwinding. The level sites, full hookups, and spotless bathrooms were all welcoming—but the true standout was owner-operator Mr. Will. He was hands-down the best host we encountered on our 10-day leaf-peeping adventure. We look forward to returning visit in the near future!

Basic but well equipped RF campground. New bathrooms and showers. Easy access to Stowe and surrounding towns. As site recommends, do not attempt RV travel through Smuggler's Notch; instead, travel via west route through Jeffersonville.

Really great place! Super dog-friendly. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Host was super friendly and caring. He even gives us a back and forth lift to a near hike and gave a lot of suggestions for activities. Location is great if you love the outdoors: Near a lot of hikes. Would definitely go back and recommend.

Loved. The location it was great. but the shower houses were cold . Plus it was a little trashy. Looks like some people live there all year round. . As for service. We did get a text message with contact information which was good . It was ok. Lots of room for improvement

It is a beautiful location that was easy to find. We stayed in our camper but went out to see the Northern Lights. We didn’t see them but saw big, beautiful stars that you could almost touch!!! Staff very helpful and instructed us how to get to a Maple Syrup Outlet. I bought all of my family gifts there….one stop shop! The bathrooms were very clean and private. The grounds were neatly kept up. Al in all, it was a delightful experience.

We had never been to this area before but found this campground and we are so happy we did. The location was perfect, close to Smugglers Notch hikes and convenient to Stowe and Waterbury. We were greeted by Will who asked about our interests. He started sending emails to us immediately with hiking, restaurant, brewery, and things to do in the area. This was so helpful. We've never experienced this before at a campground. We spoke with Will multiple times and he was always professional and informative. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to this area.

Amazing location, leveled spaces, and the BEST customer service!!! An absolute GEM of a camping spots and a new favorite, we will definitely be back if we are ever in the area. Super gorgeous, dog friendly, and so close to stowe! You cant beat it!

Had rented the camper retreat and it was very clean. In fact the whole camping ground was very nicely maintained and managed. Will is always so helpful and available. We had a great time here and will surely be back again!

Awesome campsite outside of Stowe. No frills but exactly what you want. Nice sites, pull thru are a little close together but they’re level, with a great view, and the owner is incredibly friendly. Close to Jeffersonville, Stowe, and the Notch. Highly recommend. We chase the fall foliage and this was a great stop.

Everything about this campground is excellent. The location to Stowe and Jeffersonville make trips easy. The owner "Will" was very nice and eager to help with our stay and suggestions for our day trips. Camp is clean, quite and nicely played out. You wo t be sorry on your trip if you stay there !! Thanks will !!

Best campground host we have ever had! Will gave us great local recommendations. A truly beautiful campground and a great location to home base and explore Vermont.

Loved staying 2 nights at Smugglers Notch RV Village! Site #27 was perfect for us! Great access to beautiful fall foliage up at Jays Peak resort- fun tram ride up the mountain and beautiful lake views at Lake Eden. Braved the 108 down to Stowe/waterbury - crazy busy but Bingham falls, Cabot creamery, and Ben & Jerry’s all fun with alt. route back up 100 instead of 108! (Road construction made this a looooonnnnng wait!!)

Great location area-wise. Too crowded for my taste. Service was excellent. The gentleman hosting went above and beyond helping make our stay comfortable. I watched as he did the same for others also. Price, (fair) showers n other amenities were very satisfactory.

I found this relatively new campground on Google maps and verified it with RV Life. Overall, this is a nice campground, but the customer service and interaction with the owner is a double 5 star. The campground is an open field with mostly grass covered sites. This could be a problem if there is a lot of rain and you have a heavy class A motorhome. Sites are generally long and have plenty of room on each side. Our site had 15-20 ft of room, out our entry door. Our motorhome is 50 amp and we had 124 v on both legs; water was 45 psi and good quality; and sewer required two lengths of hose and the receptacle was buried a bit. Getting around the roads of the campground for a large class A (ours is 45ft) is close. Upon exit, we had to have a guest move their car so we could make the turn. The road up to the campground is rough, and the road up to Smuggler's Notch is closed to larger vehicles - definitely motorhomes of any size and any 5th wheel. So, there is only one way in. The distance to Stowe is 15-20 min and the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is super close as well. We've only been to this area once, but I think this campground is pretty central to the leaf peeping areas everyone wants to see. Again, I cannot say enough about the customer service and responsiveness of the owner and staff - simply top notch. We recommend this campground.

A lot of times we comment on the campground and surroundings things but it’s not often you get the spectacular kind service as well that we received from will at this campground. Not only was it in a great location, very nice campsites, and peaceful but also the owner went above and beyond to elevate the experience. He has made linked itineraries for whatever type of adventure you are looking to capture during your time here in Vermont and shares them with you. This made our quick trip so much easier and extra special. Will is what every campground needs to complete a perfect weekend away. We can’t wait to come back next season! Thanks for having us!

Nice place. Larger lots with full hookups. The main thing was the service of the owner. Very helpful with pre planned sight seeing and things to do available for guests. It was spot on. Everything from hiking, road excursions, and breweries. Excellent

This was a handy alternative to staying in the state park, which does not offer hookups. It was also convenient to have a sewer port at our site. The person we dealt with was super friendly and very helpful. The sites are close together, and there’s not a lot of shade, but for our purposes, it got the job done.

Excellent spot to stay! Even with my large toy hauler I had plenty of space and they had all the amenities available! Staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend planning your next stay here.

My husband and I totally enjoyed our stay here. We had such a good time here last year we knew we wanted to come back. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. The views spectacular! And driving through The Notch has always been a thrill. And, to top it all off there’s a great little restaurant just down the road for breakfast. Very peaceful! We will definitely be back! Thanks again, Due and Dick Kenn

The Smugglers Notch RV Village served as a perfect spot for my week trip in Vermont. The location is great for outdoor recreational things to do north and south of the RV village. It has easy back in and pull through spots that help with a 30 foot camper. Will was awesome at check-in. He knows the area very well and is kind enough to supply emails for local and not so local hikes, swimming spots, and outdoor recreation. His emails have links for directions and well detailed write ups. His prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend the RV village if needing a spot in that area.

The park is rather new and conveniently located, not far from town for supplies. It’s best to travel in from the north of Smugglers Notch as there is a fine for large vehicles. The surrounding Mount Mansfield is beautiful and will be spectacular in the Fall. The owner was great and accommodating.

We stayed at Smugglers Notch RV Village for two weeks and absolutely loved it! The sites are spacious, and big-rig friendly, we had no issues parking our 42’ Brinkley fifth wheel and F450. The campground has everything you need: full hookups, picnic tables, fire pits, Wi-Fi, clean bathhouses, and even disc golf and a community firepit area. The owner, Will, is fantastic, he goes out of his way to make sure families feel welcome and have a great experience. On top of that, the location couldn’t be better. Within a short drive we explored Burlington (Lake Champlain cruise, Church Street Marketplace, Ben & Jerry’s), historic Stowe (shops, restaurants, farmers market, gondola rides), Jericho Farmers Market, and even the Champlain Valley Fair. There’s so much to do nearby that this park makes the perfect home base for northern Vermont adventures. Highly recommend Smugglers Notch RV Village, we’ll definitely be back!

The location is awesome just a few miles from Smugglers Notch village and a short drive to Stowe, VT. Sites are large and spacious with full hook ups, we have a 44 foot fifth wheel. Will was an extremely gracious host and had a lot of local knowledge on activities and recommendations on places to visit in the area! The bath house is clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend this campground, the area is gorgeous with a variety of outdoor activities close by! Well worth the trip for some travelers from VA!!

This is a very nice park with a location that is hard to beat. We were promptly greeted by Will the owner and his friendly dog Maple. He gave some great recommendations and showed us to our site. Park was quiet and well laid out. Our site had plenty of room and all the amenities needed for a great stay. We will definitely be returning!

This is a fantastic RV park with full hookups and everything you need — just don’t expect extra frills. The location is excellent, surrounded by greenery and trees, creating a peaceful atmosphere even though the RV sites are fairly close together. Luckily, during our stay, it wasn’t too busy, and they gave each guest extra space, which made it feel more relaxed. The owner personally welcomed us, shared recommendations, and even emailed a list of local routes and sights worth visiting, adding a personal, friendly touch that made the experience memorable. This park is all about location: it’s the perfect base if you want to explore local waterfalls, scenic spots, and enjoy nature. Nearby, you’ll find the small town of Cambridge — a charming but simple place with just one coffee shop, a general store, and a few essentials. It suited our needs perfectly and added to the local charm. Overall, 10 out of 10 for a comfortable, well-situated stay. We were happy we stopped here!
