We just got onto one of your company’s ferries. Before boarding, we ended up in the wrong line because we came from four hours away and we have no idea how things work here. Then the staff lady there basically tried to penalize us on her own terms. She moved us from the second line all the way to the very end of the group.Even there was no sign or attendant there to show us where to line up. This is unacceptable, it’s humiliating for people, and I could even say it was discriminatory. She just did whatever she wanted and didn’t listen to us at all, almost starting to argue with us. I want to file a complaint about this and say that this is not the kind of employee that should represent your company.

Very convenient ferry. 24/7 schedule with high frequency, and a quick trip across the lake. Keep in mind they do random vehicles searches, but what is odd is that there is no clear list of prohibited items. Still wish they'd put a bridge here instead.

A couple weeks ago I found myself in a medical crisis and needing to get to an ambulance across the lake, I'm pregnant and have a very severe rare illness that comes with it. Upon hearing this the captain of the ferry made the quickest trip I have ever experienced and had us escorted off first to receive care promptly. I am incredibly greatful and also impressed with their response time and action. I can vouge for the care and safety they practice. Thank you to the captain and crew who helped . You assisted in saving two lives. (The ferry actually beat the ambulance to the docks that's how fast it was)

I've used Lake Champlain ferries many times over the years and have always been impressed with their reliability and professional, friendly employees. I decided to finally write a review after they found my lost wallet on their ferry. I didn't realize I lost my wallet until after I drove home, and I suspected I lost it on the ferry. I called to ask them, and a day later I got a call that they searched around the ferry and found it. I really appreciate their follow through and making the effort to help me recover from my mistake. Thank you Lake Champlain Ferry employees!

Love taking the ferry into NY. It has always been a smooth transition with nice staff. It’s kind of freakish to ride a boat with a semi truck next to you.

I commuted every day but Christmas the last week of December. Not a single sign that there would be limited service on New Year's Day. Your poor dock attendant fumbled to find some printout that apparently they should've been distributing. She didn't know there is only ONE boat running!?! LCT is not the only business open on holidays. Communication failure. Just one more occasion where I should've driven around.

My only issue with using this farry for over a year now is that the crew never enforced the " stop your engine" when it's not the winter months and the crew doesn't have people turn their head lights off

Hands down... A Very professional, reliable ferry service that I have been utilizing for 30+ years now! Ferry Crew (parking attendants, captain, etc.) are extremely competent and friendly! However, there are booth attendants (1 on each side of the lake) that are consistently rude and unfriendly...

Lovely ferry service from Vermont to New York on lake Champlain- affordable and easily accessible.

Fast, organized, a time saver, fun, but not cheap. I am glad we did it, for the experience. Apparently there is like a monthly fee you can pay or $17 one way ticket. They can haul 18 wheeler tractor trailers and RV’s. Each trip hold the equivalent or 40 cars. Super smooth ride, take off, and landing. We went to the NY side and saw an Osprey and MacDonough monument.

One day I crossed twice and was charged $12.10. The following week I crossed in the same vehicle and was charged $17.00. Someone spent a lot of time painting fancy lines...you should use them and be more consistent. I'm not even going to mention charging for passengers inside the vehicle, who take up no space. #letsbuildabridge

This FERRY company is super efficient! They have their across-the-pond-transport service down to a T !! I have used this FERRY 4 times now. Be aware that overnight, there is only 1 or 2 ferries operating & ONLY every 45 minutes.

Been using this ferry for years, as everyone else has, and they're so nice. All the people that take your money, greet you, show your where to park on the ferry, they're all always excellent help with wonderful dispositions. Will definitely continue to use it instead of making the long drive.

Less than one hr after crossing and being charged one price! I then came back across less than an hr later and was charged more! I was told not my problem they messed up over there! Even after showing my receipt! You’re right it’s my fault so charge me more! $20 a car not enough!

Great ferry across Lake Champlain and easy access to the Northway / I-87 in NY. The parking area is a bit tight but the ferries are often enough to not jam it up too much.

Well worth the $ if you want to visit the other side of the lake. I thought it was a little confusing to find but I'm glad I did! This is the only way I would have visited Burlington, VT as the drive would have been too long from Plattsburgh where I was staying.

As a frequent traveler using the ferry from VT to NY, I spend about $3,000 a year at the ferry because I operate a delivery company. It makes no sense that they don't take mobile payments. They turned me back because I forgot my credit card, I asked if they could do something to let me board the ferry, I mean I use the ferry 4 to 5 times a week and they should've just let me go and I would bring their money later, I am a business owner and I can't run away for only 17 dollars. They definitely need to start taking mobile payments, I had to drive back home 2 hours to get my credit card. Very disappointed but I have no choice, I still have to use the ferry.

Quick service and pretty nice people. Nice room inside to look around! Only thing is it’s a tad expensive because it’s short, but it’s way better than driving all the way around the lake!

The dock/ferry workers seem friendly -- smiling, waving, and noticing drivers fairly well while ushering them on/off/. They appear overall to enjoy their job. They hopefully grasp that my (all riders) perception of our safety, riding over Lake Champlain, powerless ourselves, correlates largely with the vigilance, conduct and demeanor I'm (we're) able to scrutinize of these staff members. I, for one, greatly appreciate their usual dispositions.

I was a passenger of your ferry For 6 weeks 5 days a week For radiation treatments. Of the 6 weeks 2 times I put in lane 2 or 3 lanes. Because of that I'm pretty much one of the last suv off the ferry. Because of road word and ferry ride my morning ride became longer. Now how would you feel. be true to your self now your ferry ride is a very nice ride.

This is a nice facility, despite it's length of time in use. They've rebuilt since the first time I used it and it's more efficient. The staff has everything worked out so well and efficiently it is almost just routine for the customers. They know what they're doing and if you have a fear of water or being transported by water you can be greatly reassured by how they do their jobs, even on cloudy or rough water days.i like these ferries and the landings, on both sides of Lake Champlain.

Its funny how people here complain about the scheduling or costs or the fact that the ferry crossing is controlled by a private company. Feel free to take the northern bridge, as it will only add about 30 minutes to your travel (more or less) and save you the $10. If a bridge was feasible, it would've been undertaken years ago when it was on the table. These ferries are the most convenience we will be getting, and you should appreciate the fact these folks are out here 24/7. Nothing is perfect, but this business is surely a net positive to the area. Someone had a great idea years ago to capitalize on this route and they've kept it open ever since, and improved over time. If you want the government to start taking over private businesses so their services are free to you, move to Venezuela. I hear they have a thriving economy.

Always a pleasure saving time to get to Vermont. We normally drive around but sometimes we take the boat for a treat.

Ferry ride was very neat. Only complaint was that we were unable to open our car doors due to where our car was parked on the ferry

It's a ferry dock, plan on seeing the ferry pulling out off of schedule if you go here and want to get to the other side in a hurry. The staff on the ferry is very friendly, but the company itself is questionable and holds sway over all transportation across a very busy route. $10.75 for a car and passenger, they finally take credit cards which is convenient for work travel other than the fact that what should be a 30 minute drive from Burlington to Plattsburgh will take upwards of 50 minutes because these 2 miles take 15 minutes to get across and another 15-50 minutes between ferries loading, unloading and travelling of you miss one, which you will.

Very organized staff. The ride was quick and we were able to leave out car and sit on the upper deck to get a good view.

When going to the Adirondacks, start your trip with an ocean cruise! The ferries are frequent, relatively fast, not too expensive, and fun!
