We were travelling through the area in our RV and encountered an automotive issue. Saw Vern’s sign and pulled in. Clint, a gem of a guy at Vern’s Towing and Repair( third generation owner/mechanic), attended to us immediately. Clint assessed the problem, sent out for a part and finished the job within an hour. The charge$ was so reasonable, almost generous. If you’re just passing through and in a similar bind, or a local looking for a mechanic, please visit Vern’s. My husband, who is himself a mechanic, highly recommends Clint at Vern’s.

I was very impressed! I had my car aligned 4 times somewhere else and within a few weeks it was bad again. I told them I thought something was loose, they said it was fine. I told Vern’s the samething and he figured it out so quick! My alignment is staying true and they fixed a ball joint and it was priced well and done quick! He explained everything to me very clear as well and told me a few other things to keep an eye on. Highly recommend they were great!

Our family has been taking our cars there for years and they are the best! Very honest and don't try to sell you on everything. They will just fix what you want done. Plus, they are always friendly and helpful, especially Kyle.

Verns has always been so good to me. They're honest & never try to make me get more done than is needed - there's even been times when they've been happy to check out a maintenance light or something else minor at no cost. I will always come here over other places! Everyone is great here but Kyle has been especially awesome.

Every now and then I find a company I really trust and will always go back to. Vern's is one of these companies. I've always worked with Kevin. He is an excellent mechanic. I intend on using him as my first choice for any car repair work I need done.

I HAVE to write a review for Vern's Towing & Repair without having been a customer -- yet. Picking up my camp trailer from across the street I ended up losing the trailer right in the middle of State Street. I dragged the trailer to the median and took a few seconds to cool down. In this short time a few employees from Vern's were already crossing the street with a floor jack (the ONLY way to have gotten this trailer up after I broke my trailer's tongue jack). By the time they reached me they told me to relax and not worry, they'd call the cops to block traffic so we could get he trailer up and moving again. In 5 minutes what could have been a terrible disaster was averted by these kind, selfless actions. The police showed up and Vern's employees had my trailer up and on the truck ready to roll. All along telling me not worry and that they'd take care of it. Again, this made a major incident easy and stress-free without even asking! I have not needed their official services yet, but you can bet they will be who I call when I do need a brake change or something to be towed. I have already recommended them to a relative and will continue to do so. This is the epitome of customer service toward someone from whom they didn't make a dime. Total class. A heart-felt THANKS to all of the employees who helped make an insanely stressful and potentially dangerous moment in my life so much easier!

I hate having to take my car in for repairs but life happens. I have been coming here for years when I need something in one of my vehicles repaired. Kyle has always been fair and upfront about everything. I never feel like I have been taken advantage of. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it took them just a little while to get my car diagnosed and give me a price on it. They were however very busy and I just had to wait my turn. Will keep coming back.

I would have given them 4 or 5 stars, overall, I feel like I had great service, but there was an incident, that makes me question it. Verns towed my vehicle to their shop. I was helped by Clint. I had sent the actual key, of the key fob so, I could lock the vehicle. There was another, fully working, key fob lost in the vehicle, at that time, you could just get in the vehicle and start it. I was leaving the vehicle to be towed so, I locked it with the physical key and hid it. They were told about the lost key and where to find the hidden key. I received a phone call an hour and a half or so to closing time, stating they weren’t able to “start” my vehicle, they tried and the vehicle said, “no key detected”. I knew this was an untrue statement (I had been starting the car, with the lost key, in the car, for over a week at that time) I decided to play along and say how that was crazy and is he sure, could he try again? He said, he tried a few times and nothing. He then wasn’t going to be able to get to my vehicle until possibly the next day when I couldn’t get him a key. Already dealing with an extremely stressful situation without a vehicle or transportation, I was frantic and wasn’t sure how I was going to get him a key on top of everything else at the time. I then called Clint back and reminded him, he had the physical key and he could just put it into the ignition! He called me back about 30 minutes later with a diagnosis. With clearly a “quick” diagnosis, why the run around for absolutely no reason?? I KNOW there was a working key that was in the vehicle at the time and it was a lie that it was saying, the key wasn’t being detected. It worked before I sent the car and worked after, as well as, worked for the next mechanic shop it went to. Again, why the run around?? Just makes me question, if they being fair and honest.

Great service! Kevin and his staff were exceptional, I already feel like one of the family! They were recommended by two other shops who send their work there as well! Nice to have a mechanic you can trust!

I have taken my vehicle here a few times and each time I am happy with the service I received. They are always friendly and have been dependable to give me an honest quote. I feel they are reasonable priced. I highly recommend Vern's Towing and repair.

A few years ago. My ford focus had throttle issue. Dealership told me it was an $800 repair. I took this to Vern's and he found they opened the hood and saw the throttle cable stuck in the hood. I think it took them all of 2 minutes to unlatch this for me. I offered to pay but he said it wasn't a repair and sent me on my way. Honesty is everything to this shop. Vern's should be your first call for every repair.

This place!!! These people!!! This is the ONLY place that I will EVER take my truck, and other vehicles to for repairs, or upgrades!!! Hands down the most caring, experienced people I have ever dealt with EVER!! They are honest, no bull people, and they aren’t going to sell you on what you don’t want or need!!! I have a custom truck that’s not all that easy to work on or get parts for and they go above and beyond what any place ever would do!!! They will have my business and I will recommend them to anyone needing a place!!! 10 out of 10 and five stars all the way!!!!

They were really great to work with. The ONLY issue I had was the repair company I was using called them and they said, "They didn't have my car." So, my car was missing for a little bit, but I called and we figured things out. AND...they towed my car to the repair shop, the same day. Great JOB VERN'S!!

First off, I do not write many reviews, but the overall service, frank advice and fair prices I have received from Vern's over the past few years has prompted me to leave this review. I originally went to Vern's to get a second opinion regarding a recommended repair another shop was telling me that I "Had to replace" for safety purposes. Kyle did a thorough inspection of the vehicle and even walked me out to the car to see the parts in question and said that the parts the other shop said had to be replaced, while worn, did not have to be replaced and still had plenty of life in them. This incident prompted me to start bringing all of my vehicles to Vern's whenever an issue arises even though i pass multiple other shops on my way to Vern's. My favorite aspect of having my vehicles repaired at Vern's is their frank advice. Instead of trying to replace everything that could be causing an issue, Kyle will tell you the likely reasons that could be causing the issue along with the costs of repairing them along with his recommendations. His recommendations are almost always the least expensive way to repair the vehicle. Never have I felt that they are trying to push a repair that does not need to be done. Vern's has been a breath a fresh air when it comes to getting my vehicles inspected and repaired.

Long story short: my wife got in a car accident, vern's was called by the highway patrol to take her car off the freeway ($156 to move the car less than 2 miles) was held for less than 24 hours ($40) and then charged to take it back home ($100 for 10 miles) totaling $300 on our totaled car rather than asking us if we just wanted it taken straight home after the accident. As a rule I believe that tow yards are overpriced and unfair but I've had experiences way more satisfactory than with Vern's with rates much more reasonable with other tow companies. I know that everyone needs to pay the bills but Vern's seems to enjoy kicking people while they are down. Try stauffers towing, larry's towing, AM PM towing, Service towing, John's towing West Coast or Don Shelley for your Utah county towing needs - you'll be way happier that you did.

Warm friendly environment! I have been coming here for years since this is the place that my dad takes his vehicles to... And now that I have a son with a car, there is a Vern's business card with his registration and insurance info! He knows who to call if he needs help. Thank you Kyle and staff for being awesome!

Vern's has been excellent to work with. My son's car wouldn't start and they came immediately and towed it to their shop for us. When he came to tow the car he looked it over and diagnosed the problem right there and did not charge us to diagnose the problem. The towing fee was lowered because we had the repairs done by them. The cost of the repairs was very fair and I was comfortable with the service they provided. I have also taken two other cars there that my teenage boys totaled. Vern's worked with my insurance company and was very helpful and did not charge me for this. I will continue to work with them in the future. I was happy with my service.

First let me say that the people at Vern's are very nice. However the predatory practices of the company as a whole warrant the poor rating of my review. My son was in an accident yesterday morning. I requested a different tow service to pick up the car and was informed by the police that a Vern's was already on the way. Had I know that I had a legal right to push the issue I would have - Lesson #1 when in an accident you have a legal right to select who tows your car (there are a couple of exceptions to that rule). The car was totaled. It is an older car with liability insurance only so the insurance company will not repair it. Vern's arrived quickly and did a great job up until the time they left the accident scene. I was not given the option to have the car towed to my home, in fact there was no communication at all despite the fact that we two feet away from them. - Lesson # 2 if your car isn't going to be covered by insurance make sure they take your car where YOU WANT IT TO GO!!!! They took my car to their lot where they charged me a $31.00 "administrative fee" to enter the information into the state database. They then charged me $40.00 to leave the car in their lot for less than 7 hours as a storage fee. This was in addition to the $183.75 to tow the car 6.6 miles! Completely ridiculous! Lesson #4 When you are in an accident and not thinking about anything more that the fact that you and your loved ones are alive and well take time to put your hand over your wallet because SOME tow services are the worst predators and take advantage of an already bad situation!

I called them in for a tow and a repair because my car wouldn't start. When I called them, I specifically asked them to look and see if it was a fuel pump issue. They said it started right up after they pulled it in so it couldn't have been the fuel pump but suggested it might be the ignition coil and then proceeded to tell me about a number of other things that needed to be done. I was happy that it turned out to be a relatively minor thing like an ignition coil and, since I had mentally prepared myself for a much larger repair bill, I went ahead and acquiesced to the other repairs they suggested. They called me again during the repair and suggested a few other repairs. Since I couldn't afford them, I told them I would put it off till later. After they had completed the repairs, they called me again and informed me that the car wouldn't start and said it was the fuel pump after all. Then quoted me another 500 plus dollars to fix that. The whole affair left me with a sour taste. I specifically inquired about it being a problem with the fuel pump and, after assuring me that it wasn't and getting me to spend almost six hundred dollars on the car, they claimed it was the fuel pump after all and had the nerve to try and stick me for another five hundred. They never even offered any sort of discount for the unnecessary replacement of the ignition coil. Bottom line, at the worst, they are dishonest, at the very least, they are incompetent. I won't recommend them.

My husband's truck broke down about two months ago and we took it to Vern's to get it fixed. It took two and a half weeks to get it fixed and my husband had to keep calling to check on it. We finally had his truck back and it ran alright until last week when it broke down again. It seemed like it was the same problem we had just paid a fortune for them to fix, so we called Vern's and had them tow the truck back in. It was the same thing. Apparently, the new distributor they put in was faulty and needed to be replaced (after only driving the truck for two months.) Vern's replaced it, but charged us for the labor time and the tow. Not only were we struggling to make it without the truck for a week, but we again had to pay a lot of money to have his truck fixed a second time. We will never be returning to Vern's and do not recommend them to anyone who cares about doing business with a company that is "honest and trustworthy" as their website declares.

I am from Phoenix. I was passing through SLC and stayed at the Super 8. The following morning I went to start my car and it caught fire in the parking lot. Turns out my fuel cable broke and the gas was ignited by the electrical wiring. I managed to put it out but not before melting some wiring and a few cables. I called several local shops and nobody wanted to help. I finally called Vern's towing. They were polite, listened to my concerns, picked up my car and within 8 hours they replaced all the burned wiring and cables. I also made it clear I didn't care how much the cost was. I just wanted my car back without spending a week waiting at a local hotel. I won't put the dollar amount here but I can say they were more than honest on the final bill. I will always remember everyone at Vern Towing. You guys are awesome!

HUGE shout out to Kyle and the gang down at Vern's Towing and Repair on state street in Lehi!!! I had a pretty significant issue with the green monster today and the gang down at Vern's was honest in their assessment and prompt in getting what was needed. They had the monster back on the road in no time and charged an honest and more than reasonable price for the repair!!! I will most definitely be coming back for any other automotive needs that arise!!! GREAT WORK Y'ALL!!!

I took my car in to get new cooper tires and ended up speaking with the owner. He was very helpful and ended up saving me time and money. He genuinely had my best interests in mind.
