I’ve driven that stretch of Hwy many times, and when my daughter called to say she was stranded and lost in the middle of nowhere, my heart sank. I felt helpless, my stomach turned to ice.
Thanks to the incredible folks at Salina PD, she was found and brought to safety. And then Johnsons Towing stepped in, fast, kind, and professional, to get her car back on the road.
Were they reasonably priced? Absolutely. But what they gave us was worth far more than money. Peace of mind. Compassion. Help when we needed it most.

Heading towards Southern California on a Sunday night to deliver a larger shuttle bus, I over heated on I-70 about 40 miles east of Salina. Mike answered the phone and explained what he could and could not do to help, coming up with a plan to add needed coolant to get me to a shop, if needed. He was so helpful and kind. Mike went the extra mile for me as it took time to slowly ascend to the pass to keep the bus from overheating again. He even followed up with me the next day to ask if I and the bus were OK. I am so thankful for the help I received from him!
Grateful for the wonderful, timely, honest, fairly priced, and highly competent service provided by these folks. Never thought needing to get my car towed would turn into an experience I would back on fondly, but that is exactly what happened. Mark was extremely helpful and friendly. Very reasonable rates, done great job, they heavy haul truck and load off mountain, that grossed 180,000 lbs. If every need a wrecker in Idaho , be calling Johnson towing again, Mike even called dealer and I'm sure helped us get a better price on repairs
We had a flat tire 60 miles east on 70. I thought we were going to spend the night out there. Mike sent Mark out with the tow truck and brought us to Richfield, UT. Smooth, helpful service. If you need a tow, call Johnson Towing. And I have now ridden in a tow truck!
We are from the Chicago area and we got a flat. Mike went to 4 tire places to see if they had an available tire instead of towing us off the bat. He went above and beyond just a tow. We thank you so much! Highly recommend.

Outstanding service!!!! Quick response time, reasonable prices, and had tons of advice on how to handle the situation. My motor stopped motoring about 40 miles East of Salina on I70. They got to my location, hooked up, and returned to Salina in a little over 2 hours. They even helped me load my broken truck on a personal trailer the next day. Don't hesitate to contact Johnson's Towing if you're in need of a rescue like I was.
I made a deal on three vintage trucks and needed them all towed due to unsafe tires. The guy made three runs to get them home and charged me a reasonable price, putting them right where I needed them. A better enough experience that I'm writing this review. I hope I never need to call them, but if I do I know who I'm calling.
I actually didn't have to use Johnson's towing because he recommended a closer solution that was less expensive. You don't find that kind of honesty and good will these days. I recommend you to use Johnson Towing for all your needs. That kind of customer service is amazing! One thousand stars!

Mike was our hero! We ran out of gas 7 miles from his town...we had just bought our new RV and were out in the middle of a mountain. Juanita, another local, was kind enough to take me to town. I immediately called Mike and within 14 minutes he was there to help. For $75 he bought gas and delivered it to my hubby. I happily tip him an extra $25... what service. We were back on the road within an hour and he even gave our dog a treat. Thank you!
Wow, did this company ever provide top notch service. My husband got locked out from his 2020 Ford F-350 and had a 24ft trailer hitched. Driver arrived on scene in 15 minutes as promised and completed his job in no time. Mind you, it was 8pm at the Salina Livestock Auction and cattle had just been loaded on to trailer. Poor things had to wait 20 mins b4 heading out to Salt Lake City. Damn key was locked inside truck somewhere, SMH! Highly recommend this company!
Rob Johnson came and picked me up when no one else in the area would. He and Kevin went above & beyond to help me out when my truck engine was seized. They provided me with all the local knowledge I needed to make a catastrophe into a manageable situation. I felt welcomed into the community and thoroughly enjoyed the personal touches. It's rare to find men of such quality that are willing to help others more than they have to and men who take pride in their community. Thank you Johnson Brothers for all help!!
If you have a choice in your tow truck driver, Johnson towing is the right choice. It’s not every day that you meet a tow truck driver that you’d like to see again, but after the service I received from Mike Johnson, I can say that I have.
He is the nicest man I’ve met whose services helped in a situation I’d never like to be in again. A wealth of knowledge and 20 years experience, Mike turned a terrible situation into a survivable adventure. He accommodated our entire family, car seats, and dog out of a remote area of Utah. He stayed with us and helped explain the process of having a car totalled. He even answered questions when we called about the state of our car two days later. The most trustworthy tow-truck driver I have ever met, I would recommend his services to anyone. If you are ever in need of a tow truck and have the choice, choose Johnson’s Towing.
Omg, this company saved my life, I was stuck on the side of the road and my car just stopped working and he came to save me and drove me home and told me what was wrong with my car.. He was an amazing gentleman, I definitely appreciate his service and his time helping me when I was suck in the middle of nowhere
Our fuel pump failed just at mile marker 100 on I70 Westbound. After calling 911, Johnsons towing was on scene in 90 minutes. Mike got us picked up and on our way to town.
While enroute to Salina, he was on the phone calling all the repair shops. After a couple of calls, Jason at GCR answered and took on the job.
While we were waiting at GCR, Mike called us to make sure we were doing okay. We were doing just fine and GCR has us back on the road in 2.5 hours.
Such an outstanding company with incredible people. Going out of their way to make sure we were safe AND taken good care of. Thank you so much for taking care of us!
Mark picked up my Suburban and trailer after I crashed and and the suburban was totalled on the I70 east of Salina. He was extremely helpful and dropped us off at a local hotel after towing my vehicle and trailer. Great customer service.
Mark is honest, competent and good humored. Our alternator died in no man's land and after being let down by others, Mark was able to successfully tow our vehicle and replace the alternator. His service was at a very fair price as well. Thank you, Mark!

I was traveling from California to Michigan by myself and my truck broke down right outside of Salina, UT in the canyon and there was no cell service. :( It was about 10 pm and i was standing outside of the truck trying to see if i could get cell service somewhere when a truck passed me on going the opposite direction (back into Salina) and stopped and backed-up on highway and got out to see if I was okay. He came and looked at the truck and it turned out that a rod went through the block. This wonderful gem of a man, named Darrin was so sweet and accommodating. He took me back into Salina while he called a co-worker to go tow my truck back into town Darrin made sure i was okay and made sure i made it to the hotel across the street.
I went back in the morning and Darrin helped me again but suggesting i could rent a Uhaul moving truck to get to Grand Junction, CO so i could rent a car and finish my trip (since Enterprise in Richfield, UT was closed due to COVID-19) and that is exactly what i did. Darrin took me to the Uhaul in Salina and even offered to wait for me to make sure i got the truck.
They all were so friendly and helpful and they really saved me.
As i was at the tow yard that morning a truck driver was there waiting for the shop to open because the driver mentioned he broke down in the canyon with no cell service and the Johnson's towing was driving by and saw him broke down and took care of him the same they did for me.
Amazing service and I would highly recommend them.

This place is great and a true one stop shop for me. Mark and his crew here picked me up from my broken down vehicle in the middle of nowhere in the San Rafael Swell. I was in trouble and without hesitation they provided answers and help. They sold me an older car to get out of town and on my way for a good price and were honest, kind, and all around good people to work with. Thanks again for all the help!
