This place has been around longer than most. The friendly staff and comfortable environment makes for a positive experience every time. The customer service is above and beyond than anything you see these days. They were incredibly responsive to my needs and communicated well throughout the repair on my truck. They are thorough and attention to detail as well as fair priced. I would recommend them highly.
Great mechanics, been going to them for years! They're NOT the cheapest, but they are honest, don't just throw parts at a difficult issue and are skilled, veteran mechanics who know cars really well! I've bought most of my vehicles through them too, because they get impounds and the like. Fixer upper cars but usually a great value! I would highly recommend!
Gary is awesome and so helpful! He saved me over $3,000 by simply taking the time to correctly diagnose the issue, causing the oil leak in my car. The dealership said I needed to have a bunch of things resealed and/or replaced, and thanks to Gary being awesome, we found out it was a lot less of an issue than they had assumed. Also, he recognized another pontentially serious issue, that my serpentine belt was very thin and could have gone out at any time, leaving me in a bad situation. I was able to get that, and the oil leak fixed for 3 grand less than the dealership wanted for just the repair of the oil leak. I have no idea about cars, so if Gary hadn't noticed the serpentine belt, I would have had no idea. I am so grateful for his kindness, helpfulness, and expertise! Thank you a million, Gary! Hopefully, I won't need to, but if I do need any car repairs in the future, I will definitely come back here! Also, I think he said his name was Matt, I am sorry if I am wrong, but he helped Gary with my car and was super helpful, knowledgeable, and kind as well. You guys saved me! Thank you again! I heard about Terry's from a friend, so I thought I would try. My Jeep Wrangler was having issues with the engine and I had taken it to 3 different mechanics and none of them knew what was wrong with it. I called and talked with Terry and told him I would have to have it towed to his shop. He said, he would want to see if it was worth towing first. So he came to my home on a Sunday morning, turned on the engine and knew immediately it was the engine. So yes, it did need to be towed. He gave me a few options for an engine. A new one would be close to $8000, and one with 41,000 miles would be about around $4300. I asked him if it was him, what he would do? He told me he would put the 41,000 mile engine in. That was about 8 years ago and the engine is still great!! I only go to him, he is the best!!
This is by far the best towing and auto repair shop you can ever go to in the salt lake valley. Everyone at this shop always goes above and beyond like a second family this is the place you want to take your vehicle for good prices and quality service. I had to call for a tow truck after someone made an illegal turn in an intersection and completely disabled my vehicle. I could hear my driver literally starting his truck while we were still on the phone. I was amazed at the fast response I received on a Saturday afternoon. When arriving at the accident, my driver was so incredibly kind and helpful. I honestly never expected to be so impressed by service from a tow company, but I genuinely appreciate the kindness and help! Highly recommend Terry’s Towing. Kyle was great. Came out promptly when my car broke down on the freeway and had my truck loaded up and back home within an hour of breaking down. Super efficient and friendly.
Very impressed. The driver arrived within a short time and was very friendly, courteous and polite. Made sure our truck was parked where we needed it once it got back to the house and when he heard our story of the vehicle trouble we were having that day with both our cars, he offered to meet us in Provo and tow our car to a dealership. Their prices were reasonable and it everything went smooth. Highly recommend them!!!
Start off by saying amazing customer service. My husband and I had them work on the front end of our suburban. Quick, efficient and very knowledgeable. Got that small town feel in a big city. Very happy with results and will definitely recommend.

My mom’s friend referred me to Terry’s. I’m very glad he did, once I brought my vehicle in Gary took care of me. We first started off looking at my concerns, he out of five men I asked about a leak, he told me what exactly it was and fixed it! He found a bunch of issues and informed me. He suggested what he would he would start off repairing if it was his vehicle. He called me to update me through the process and I swear it was done in two days! I wasn’t able to pick it up right away due to going out of town, but they were understanding and held on to my car till I got back. Overall I’m very happy with the customer service and I will go to them for all my repairs. Thank you Gary

Terrys is a great place to have your car repaired. They are honest and care about your needs. They are a great place to have your car towed also. I have been going to them for for at least 40 years. They have neaver done me wrong. My Dad went to them for years before that. He is the one that took my car there. That is how Istarted going there.
Matt from Terry's towing was awesome! He was able to pull my car out as I slid off the road up Little cottonwood Canyon above tanners and below white pine. I slid off the south side of the road which has pretty good drop offs in a lot of places. Matt got up to my car as quickly as possible and was able to get it back on the road and tow it off as it was undrivable. I highly recommend these guys and would use them again in the future
Matt at Terry’s Towing was a lifesaver! Our car broke down and insurance said they couldn’t get anyone out to us for four hours! Called around and no one could help us. We called Terry’s Towing, they picked up immediately and were there within 45 mins. They’re located in Sandy and we were in Murray. We didn’t even have to wait with our car. Super reliable, friendly, trustworthy and incredible customer service. I highly recommend them if you need a tow!
Matt came and towed my car, very professional and nice. Terry explained everything to me and didn't speak down to me. The dogs made everything better. Car issues are terrible, but when a Rottweiler comes over and let's you pet it- the frustration just melts away. Terry and Matt were great! 100% recommend
Terry's Towing has been my go-to shop for annual Utah State vehicle inspections and checks. In fact, since I've owned my '96 Bronco, Terry's has been the only place for these annual checks.
So when I decided to sell the truck I had one last problem to get repaired, and Terry's handled that for me in just a few days. They diagnosed the issue with the rear tailgate window lock cylinder and actuator to be a missing clip that holds the lock cylinder and actuator together. After fixing that and testing, I had it home for a very fair repair price.
A day later, when lubricating all of the doors, hinges, key cylinders, etc, the tailgate window key cylinder stopped working again. I had the Bronco back down to Terry's shop the following Monday, and even though they were backed up, they had the Bronco back to me in three days. Once again, it was working as it should, and this time...no charge! Can't beat that!
Again, a big thanks to Terry and his crew there for taking care of my Bronco all these years. And when I get my next project vehicle I'll bring that by for annual checks too!

These guys are really the best. I will never call another company ever again! They’re so nice and the service outstanding, from their professionalism to just being super nice people. I have a lowered vehicle and I was a little worried about the front end and Matt (the driver) did it perfectly and had all the right stuff to make it safe for my car. John, the man that helped me with towing a vehicle, was extremely helpful. He told me the price upfront, he was very courteous, and his truck was basically brand new. The new technology this company uses is a very safe form of transporting any vehicle. Although we were getting an old disabled car taken off of the lot, I would trust this company with any of our new cars if they ever needed a tow. A+ service. John went above and beyond helping me out. I recommend this service and label it one of the best towing companies I’ve ever worked with.
