Ran out of gas a few miles outside of town, called Sonora and they were out in minutes. Good chat while we got filled and back on the road we went. Super friendly, fast, and well priced
On a road trip to New Mexico, I hit a dumpster that was in the middle of the road. The police officer called Sonora Towing and Recovery and I met Mr. Norbert. He quickly hooked up my vehicle and gave me a ride to Sonora. He was very transparent with the prices and very professional. When we arrived at his garage, I was like a kid in a candy shop. It was a car guy’s heaven. He not only offered me his tools, but helped me put my car back together so I could drive home and avoid another unnecessary towing fee.
A few days later he gave me a call, said the people responsible for the lost dumpster came to his shop and he wanted to connected us, said that they could maybe cover some of the damage. With his help, I was able to settle $10k in property damages for my car, significantly more than the insurance would have paid me.
Mr. Norbert is running more than just a towing company, he’s turning people’s worst days into something to be thankful for. After a single interaction and one phone call, I would consider him a friend, and strongly recommend that you go to him for all towing needs.
Called to request some help, as soon as I said flat tire whomever answered said “we don’t do tires” and hung up. What kind of place is this? Not even the courtesy of recommending or even a good bye… just a tone… you people are the worse
We can’t thank Mr. Norbert and his towing company enough! Our vehicle broke down in the middle of nowhere, and he came out right away to help us. He was professional, kind, and made sure we felt safe while waiting. Not only did he recover our car quickly, but he also went above and beyond to explain other decencies that my husbands vehicle had. It’s rare to find service this reliable and trustworthy, especially in a stressful situation. Highly recommend his company to anyone in need of a tow! you’ll be in good hands!
Norbert was quick to respond to a truck issue when I was passing through Sonora. Their quick response time got me back on the road. Great company and great customer service!

Overcharges, price inflation and exploitation. Excessive charges for towing and recovery, and tells you your auto insurance will reimburse you… auto insurance will not reimburse due to excessive fees. Truck fee of $225 and a hook fee of $300, credit card fee of $29.85. In the middle of nowhere on I10 our daughter’s car broke down, out of gas and/or car battery failure. Usaa could not provide local referral for towing and recovery. Looked up a towing company through Google and called for help. Unfortunate lesson learned. I drove two hours to get there and pick her and the car up. Terribly business practices knowing you have no other options.
Our band van blew out a tire on I-10 just west of Sonora and Joe at Sonora Towing came to help us out even though it was his day off! Great guy and great service! Thanks, Joe.

I broke down outside of Sonora at 630 am on a Saturday and within 45m Norbert showed up to tow my family and I into town, suggested a trustworthy mechanic ( repair shops are closed Saturdays ). His guy had me on the road again much quicker then expected
I thought I had enough diesel to make it to the next loves travel stop that was 12 miles ahead, unfortunately we did not make it I ran out of diesel. My husband called Sonora towing and recovery and they showed up quickly to deliver fuel enough to get us to the gas station. They were super quick and friendly i definitely recommend them!
I accidentally locked myself out of my car and did not have a spare key for it. We tried everything......, including the universal lockout tool kit, which was not recommended because it would only do more damage than good to your vehicle.

Was hunting over the weekend about 35 miles south of Sonora. 10:30 am I had a rock slash my tire and did not have the locking lug nut tool. After numerous attempts to find a tire service and numerous hours later I finally gave in and called for a wrecker. The owner showed up at 5:30 pm, hooked me up and told me to jump in the cab. He then pointed and said " That's for you courtesy of your wife" He had stopped by DQ and brought me a burger, fries and drink. After sitting on a ranch road for about 7 hours I was starving! He took my truck to his shop, off loaded it and went in, grabbed a tool and had my tire off in 5 mins. I was in route back to the house at 6:30 pm. This gentleman went above and beyond and I'm forever grateful for your kindness and service. God Bless Sir! (his shop is awesome too, stop by and check it out)
Driving across country from CA to FL, we stopped in Sonora, TX for gas and locked our keys in the truck. A customer at the gas station said to call Sonora Towing and they can unlock it. We did. He arrived in under 15 minutes, and has us unlocked in 10. We are so thankful that someone told us who to call them, and Sonora Towing immediately responded. He was patient, kind and it was a reasonable charge. If you live in the area, call them for your unexpected automotive needs.
Norbert O. has an exceptional place. It's hard to describe, you have to see it. Watch out for "Tow" the dog however. He might eat you, or just jump up and lick you. He's 100 pounds of muscle and love. And "Chevy" his companion who is about 1/20 his size. Norbert's business is almost a love affair with cars, and a history that goes over a century now of the automobile. It is like a museum, but also a business. Norbert is also an incredible artist. There is just too much to see and take in on one visit. Thank you again Norbert for a wonderful tour.
My sister and I were pulling my 20’ cargo trailer (fully loaded) from California to Houston. A tire on the rear axle broke off and left us stranded in Sonora. I called Sonora Towing and Recovery and Norbert arrived almost immediately!!!!! Luckily for us, we broke down at exit 400 on I-10 very close to Norbert’s shop. Our vehicle was in a work zone and Norbert moved our vehicle and towed it to his facility for repairs. Norbert went above and beyond in that he ordered 3 new tires and greased all the bearings on the other wheels. He also fixed the sheet metal with new rivets that the tire damaged. I would not have wanted ANYONE else other than Norbert to help us. He was friendly and it was as though we’d known him forever! Sonora Towing and Recovery comes HIGHLY recommended! I wish I could give them 10 stars!
Our truck broke down between San Antonio and El Paso, as we were traveling with our 5th wheel RV. We use CoachNet for roadside assistance and after immediately contacting them, they began coordination for recovery. Sonora Towing and Recovery was contracted and I am very pleased with the results. They sent two vehicles, a large tow truck to pull our dually truck and RV, as well as another vehicle for our family and dog to ride in safely. The dealership we needed to go to was in San Angelo, but they were closed for the weekend. So STR towed us to a local RV park in Sonora where we could stay in our RV for the weekend. Then on Monday, CoachNet had them also tow us an hour away to San Angelo, dropped the RV at another RV park, and then towed the truck to the dealership.
For both events, they were very careful with our vehicle, they were extremely professional and friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of.

I had an accident about 25 miles South of Sonora. Although it was about 2:30am in the morning, he answered promptly without having to navigate a voicemail system. He promised to arrive in an hour to begin towing my vehicle to town, and arrived quicker than promised. He was both professional and courteous! I highly recommend these folks if you need their services.
Norbet was FANTASTIC! He arrived quickly after my car after I called in my tire blowout. Upon his arrival we found out that my spare wasn't the right size and he went over and beyond to find me a new tire at 9pm. If you know road service this never happens! I am so appreciative of him helping me out the way he did. I would recommend this company and him over anyone in the area! 10/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My family and I were traveling down I10 West yesterday and our water pump went out. After a close call with a semi almost killing us on the side of the road, we immediately called Mr. Norbert and within 15 minutes he was there. Not only did he give us $100 off the tow bill, he then drove us all over town to find the best repair shop to help us. He then drove us to 3 hotels to find the best deal on a room. He helped me unload all our possessions from the car onto his truck and made sure us and our children were safe. I would and will always recommend Mr. Norbert to anyone traveling through this area of Texas. He's fast, prompt and extremely nice. Thank you Mr. Norbert! You are awesome!!!
We had a blowout out on the interstate on our F250. My husband is disabled so we had to call for help. Norbert from Sonora Towing was very quick to find us. He was very fast, kind, courteous and had great communication the whole time. He also offered great recommendations as to where to buy a new tire. I highly recommend Sonora Towing and Recovery to anyone needing help on the road.
My trailer blew a tire about 30 miles outside of town and they were there within about 20 minutes which was wonderful because it was about 108° outside. He was able to go back into town and get new tires and come back and put them on in great time. Overall very pleased with this business. He was very cooperative and easy to work with. Hopefully this doesn't happen again but I'm glad they were there to help.
Just 3 miles shy of Sonora and we run out gas. One quick phone call to Sonora Towing & Recovery and within a flash they arrived to help us on our way. Got the best customer service from the man himself the Owner. Norbert was the best handled everything we needed to keep us on the road. Highly recommend if you need quick and professional service.
