Seeing all the comments are wild. My husband called and asked how much they did a lbs for copper wire and they said $3.40 but when we got there they only did $1 and he asked how come it’s a $1 and they gave him this stupid excuse, what a scam. Also the people are not friendly at all, so idk how the comments say that they are. You won’t get a hi or bye.
They are fair market price. When it's busy it's busy when it's not it's not. They do pay you out with a check. Ur vehicle license plate has to be shown on camera. Like you have to bring your car to a certain spot. Along with your I.D or driver's license.
Great customer service. Walked me through the entire process with a friendly smile and good conversation. Then helped me unload all my metal. Process was quick and simple. Will continue to do business with them. Definitely recommend this place.
Didn't have the part I need ( extremely rare part ) for my car but the gentlemen I talked to was VERY helpful . Gave me a few places to call and websites. He also was concerned about shopping for the right prices so I wouldn't be ripped off. Will definitely be returning if I need another part .
Very friendly and helpful! Make sure you stop on the scale first or you gotta back up! If you just have small stuff, pull to the right or left and let them give you a hand! Prompt courteous service with a great big Texas smile !
First time to this yard and Chris was awesome, punctual and very polite with very fair prices. All the weights matched up to my scales. If I could give them six stars I would.
Fast services and friendly staff make this place what it is. Scrap prices here are pretty good but it varies with the economy like all scrap yards. All in all, because of the people there, J&L is the only scrap yard i use here in conroe.
I have sold scrap metal to them, as well as purchased scrap from them a few times. They are sometimes busy, but they are always courteous, and have fair prices. As for the scales I haven't pre-weighed what I sold them nor have i weighed what I bought from them, but they are close enough to my estimate that I have never felt the need to.
If my memory serves me right, this is a 3rd generation business. That alone is amazing. No hassle, no bs...straight forward, honest and courteous. Just a great bunch of guys!
Pleasant to deal with. Good first time experience. Answered the phone, answered my questions. Easy in and easy out. Same scale coming and going. Will go back to them again.
Chris has been here for years and so glad all these guys are so helpful and so nice to my Dad who's been coming here for over 20 plus years scraping with these guys
Reading these reviews are hilarious these are plants if you've ever seen one. Went to a competitor with the same amount of goods 2 days before $5 more for the amount. Texas Port recycling FTW
Horrible experience had to unload an entire trailer by myself also forgot my driver's license at home but I had my passport in the glove compartment and was told that wasn't an acceptable form of ID, but by law it carries more weight than a actual ID. Other scrapyards accept passport because I've called 2 in Conroe TX that do, and several others in Houston. Totally bad experience and will not be back
