Total waste of time and effort. You’re lucky if you make more than 5 bucks. The price he pays for the metal doesn’t even cover the gas to get that back.
I've never !!had a Bad experience with Rangers.they pay - out fair market $$ , yeah you can drive to Houston for a $ more,bet you spend more money in gas
Been here a couple of times wasn’t great service or attitude and this time I went it was raining pretty good. So I jumped out of my truck and ran up to him to tell them that I’ll separate all my stuff up so it’s easier for them to grab when it’s not raining but I couldn’t even finish my sentence and they were just saying no. I had mainly Stainless Steel and aluminum. When does the scrap yard take metal that was a horse experience I will never go back.
Cleaned out my barn and loaded up my utility trailer. Pulled in and the workers unloaded everything for me. Fast and to the point. Was paid more than I was expecting. Definitely recommend them.
I have dropped off scrap metal at this place six times now. No matter how much scrap metal I bring to them its always around $5 they pay. Last time I brought an entire V8 engine from a Silverado plus 15 lbs. Of solid aluminum as well 3 large electric motors and a car battery. Said battery was considered a small one and only worth $6. It came out of the same full size truck the V8 engine did. They gave me $17.74 for all of it. Didn't feel like loading back up so just took the money. Never going back to this place again.
I drove an hour to come specifically to this one because I don't have an ID. I arrived at 11:50 am and they said they were closing and going to lunch, even tho it's posted their lunch is 12:00-12:30. The workers here are very very rude and they WILL rip you off!
These guys are great. All yall talking bad about them probably just mad cause you thought you were gonna get rich off your Romex scrap, old fridge, and a busted window unit.
By reading all the reviews I'm a scrapper and have been for 15 plus years had to move out to Montgomery will not ever visit this place as a woman the guys in most scrap yards think we don't know what we're talking about ,this one does and by what I've read this place tries to low ball everyone so nope won't ever go to this place
Wish I didn’t have to even give a 1 star. Absolutely disrespectful staff. They don’t even pay you close to a market price for anything. If you like terrible service to be ripped off and catch a nail in your tire all in the same trip then this is the spot for you. It cost me $280 to be told they wanted to rip me off.
I’d been to a different scrap yards and by far this one pays way better, service was friendly and fast, definitely I’ll be coming back to this place from now on.
No matter how much scrap I brought in, it became clear they were going to two dollar me to death no matter the amount. They also seemed put out about me showing up and doing business with them; like doing their job was just too inconvenient, just like their ability to speak english. They’re Crooks, no doubt.
In and out very quickly. Paid fair prices. Guy who unloaded and guy behind the window were both very nice to me.

Been going there a while now and even though they are still nice guys they have started paying way less for the same things. I tried to talk to them about it and the guy gave me a few dollars more but i know metals didn’t drop a dollar a pound over a week.
This place is awful. Tried to drop metal, etc. First day one guy said, “we are closed, only me.” He said come back the next day. Today, he said they were not taking metal?? “The trailer is full.” Confused... Going elsewhere...
My last experience was one of confusion. One man and loading outside said he was running the place and I had to Bulky a load for him to unload and he said I should take things directly to the County Recycling Center myself. I had five washers, two dryers, and seven or eight ceiling fans. My argument to him was there were two freezers the size of two of my units loaded on his trailer at the time and a bunch of appliances sitting around the scale being dealt with so I did not understand how my load could be too much. I went to talk to the office manager and received permission to unload and charge out at $0.02 per pound for mixed metals. I went to unload and was told by the man outside he was not going to unload to which I told him I received permission and instruction. The office manager came outside and interacted with the both of us and the business transaction finally made its way through. This may be a collection point, but it is not being run like a business at least at the customer level. There is confusion in communication, it seems like a severe lack of protocol, and no posting anywhere that I saw were loads of metals being brought to a scrap recycler could be denied at whim. However, if you're willing to go through the extra time and trouble to argue and get permission and decide what everybody is going to do, then you can still get money for scrap.
Low ballers tried taking my aluminum. 25Lbs worth and 12 lbs worth of steel n 4lbs copper for $10. I said no not good they said they did best. I told them i wanted my metal back they freaked out. Luckily there is mote recyclers around lol
Tries to scam me by telling me my aluminum was "dirty" and only worth $.08/lb. Perfectly clean aluminum channel. Went somewhere else and got five times as much per pound.
This place is a rip off. They tell you a price over the phone and then when you get up there they change the price on you. They call everything dirty so they don't have to pay you full price. Go somewhere else.
