Hands down the best auto shop in Waco! My family have been in Waco for 3 years, and Perales Brothers Automotive is the best! Alonzo and Chris always take great care of our cars, give awesome prices, and treat us like family. They’re super friendly, super professional, and always make sure everything is running perfectly. Can’t recommend them enough!
My daughter is a college student, and during the January 2026 deep freeze her car battery died. In her Ford, the battery is absurdly inaccessible. She didn’t have the tools or experience to handle that, so I started calling local shops.
Perales Brothers stood out immediately. Gabrielle, who answered the phone, was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She gave me a ballpark price well below other quotes, more appropriate for the job. When she couldn’t fit us in the same day, she even suggested another shop that might be able to help immediately. That level of customer focus is rare.
We towed the car to the shop the next morning. They got her in quickly, did the work at the quoted price, and treated her like a guest the entire time. I was on the phone with her when the mechanic warned her to be careful lifting the old battery because it was heavy—a small thing, but it showed real concern. As much neighbor as mechanic.
My daughter was particularly impressed that they looked the car over and mentioned a few items that might need attention—without the typical pressure or scare tactics mechanics often use with young women. Just information, respect, and fair pricing.

For more than a year, I'd been chasing a weird engine hesitation and lack of power my truck had been having. Multiple diagnostic tools weren't ever able to diagnose it, so I asked Perales Brothers to look at it, and they nailed it on the first go. They're pros with years of experience and obvious wisdom - they're like the Sherlock Holmes of mechanical murders. They also kept me looped in every step of the way with clear explanations of what repairs were needed and why. My truck now runs great again like it did 10 years ago - with lots of power and a super smooth ride. Top-notch service. Trustworthy folks. Five stars, hands down. Perales Brothers provided excellent service. They fixed my engine issues, brake sensor issue and changed my oil, and everything runs great now. 12/3/25 Chris and Alonzo checked my car out for a right front end loud rattling noise and rough ride. I was prepared for a big repair bill thinking it was struts or shocks. It turned out to be a nut/bolt that was loose. They secured and fixed it and all is well with my car. It drives beautifully with no more noise or rough ride. They did a thorough check on the rest of my car for a small fee of $69. I highly recommend the Perales Brothers for any service needs. They make a great team and everyone there is wonderful to work with.
If you’re looking for an honest reliable knowledgeable professional auto repair shop, PERALES Brothers is the place to go. 0n 12/20/24, while driving on Loop 340, my 2015 Kia Soul with about 63,000 miles, cut out and I could feel tiny consistent engine “lurches”. Something wasn’t right! I drove it immediately to PERALES Brothers who had replaced my brakes two years prior. Alonzo got my car right in to be assessed. It was finally determined I needed a tune up with new spark plugs, etc. Due to the latest of the day, Alonzo had me bring my car back the next morning, which was Saturday and the shop is closed on Saturdays. Alonzo told me he was going to be there anyway working on some things. So, I had my car there by 9:00A and it was repaired by 2:00P. And it cost less than originally quoted! Alonzo was very personable, wonderful to work with and true to his word. Also, Gabby, at the front office was pleasant to talk with upon my initial visit. I highly recommend PERALES Brothers and will use them for any future car repairs. And, my car runs great!!!

The best place in the USA to get your car serviced do you have a BMW or euro car in centex THIS IS THE PLACE my e39 wagon was perfect every time last time I used them was like 6years ago and I still think of them for auto repair they are the best across the USA look forward to sending them the bmw again!!!! Ive lived across the us and I know for a fact they haw the same standards as they did last I saw them Honesty!!!! 5 star

We love Perales Brothers! Their warranty on their work is the real deal. They redid some suspension work on my husband's subaru because something failed and we'd had it done less than a year previous. I have a hard time giving a full five stars to anyone, and the reasons in this case are A) they're so popular it usually takes at least 4 days to get in, and B) when the vehicle isn't in for routine maintenance, they call with details of what needs to be done pretty late in the day pm so usually it has to stay overnight. (Though in those cases, it probably would need to because of ordering parts)

Long story short, my wife and I thought we were stranded 7hrs away from home needing a new engine. We brought it to Chris and his team where they properly diagnosed the problem and got it fixed by the next day.
They were very communicative and knowledgeable. They even texted us a couple of days after to make sure we made it home safely!
Great work. Great customer service. Easy to do business with. I’ve lived in the Waco area for almost 18 years and have taken my vehicles to many shops. Most have done great work, but not like these guys. They are honest, fairly priced, and got our car finished in the promised time frame. Would recommend them to anyone.
There are few mechanics that can resolve an issue for you on the fly, spontaneously. One morning, my cars pulleys started squeaking on cold start to the point where I was worried my belt would snap.
I needed to drive 400 miles that day, so I brought my car to Perales, showed them the squeak, and with a part they had on hand — they immediately took my vehicle in and installed the part. Waited less than 30 minutes.
These guys do excellent work, plus they honor all their work with a 24,000 miles warranty. I will not take my vehicle anywhere else in Waco.
After getting a 2200$ estimate from Trinity Auto, my Uber driver recommended Perales Brothers. So I called to get a quote it was half the price so I had my 4 runner towed to Perales Brothers, it was the best decision I've ever made. They did an amazing job and there customer service was so on point great communication. My car was ready a day early and they even put a battery in my key fob for free. This is the best place to bring your car in Waco by far. Thank you guys so much you saved me 1200$ .

I just have to share, I’m not much of a reviewer person, sure I look at reviews but I don’t leave them myself. But after the amazing service we had today at Perales Brothers Automotive I need to leave one!
We were on our way through Waco and our car started dying on the highway. Somehow by the grace of god we were able to limp off the highway and found our way to Perales Brothers. They were VERY honest and took a look at our car diagnosed and had it fixed within a couple of hours and we were able to go on our way to enjoy our 4th of July weekend.
