I was so impressed with AMPM TOWING! Our first time with them, but I highly recommend them for towing service! Aaron was our driver and he went above and beyond ! He was VERY professional, knowledgeable, and friendly ! He did a great job in a timely manner! We need more people like him in this world! I would 100% recommend this company ! STAY AWAY FROM HERE!! These people threatening us with towing our vehicles even tho we paid them $800 when we went to get a car that was involved in a hit and run. We had to call the Cops to get our Car out. They added an additional $100 and left our car in the street and kicked us out even tho we choose them to make business with. Robert is a very bad Person that treats people like objects they feel like they are superior from everyone. All we went to do is get our car out with no issues then Robert came and wanted to move our cars that we arrived in just because we was park near a towing truck because there was no parking inside his own business for customers. Don’t use Them they are scammers and liars they want to keep your car to then charge you more or your insurance.

Find other company with reasonable and honest way of doing business with you. This is based from experience last Nov 4 - 10, 2025. Incident happened at US 281 highway.
This company responded to our company's call for roadside clearing because our trailer caught on fire last Nov 4, 2025 at US281 highway. This happened when fire department of the area put off the fire. By the way, we managed to stopped at the shoulder of the highway. No one injured and we didn't hurt anyone on the road (Thanks God). We were cleared by the police but we were advised to wait for the roadside assistance that our company called. After almost an hour the advance party of the roadside company came and for around an hr or more the rest of the crew came to start clearing the area with around 75% of the trailer burnt with a full load of broccoli. Then, Rob/Robert (owner of AMPM) came to our truck opened the driver door and stood at the steps and telling us that our truck needs to be brought in their yard because DOT will come the next day to check our truck. So they would know the reason of the fire. I told him wait I need to call our company. Then, I called up our safety manager but he wasn't able to answer then I called up another ext. to let Robert explain what he told me. Then, he explain to our service team and right after he explained he immediately TOOK our trucks key from the ignition. Then, he told us to book a hotel for our stay and they will bring us their so we could rest. With all that was happening in the last 4-5hrs we were still in shock and was kinda shaking. I didn't have the clear mind about what he said. What I have in mind is the DOT. After almost an hr from the time he took the key his wife came and and brought us to the hotel that our company booked. I was still clueless of what he did. The next day I was shocked realizing from our safety manager that AMPM roadside company tricked/fooled us by saying that DOT will check our truck then took our truck key from the ignition. Then, later that day Nov 5, 2025 they sent an invoice with so expensive fees which was USD63,000 then after few days Nov 7, 2025 our company paid what they sent in the invoice. According to our safety manager that they will release our truck once our payment will be in their bank account. AMPM acknowledges they receive the amount Nov 8, 2025 the next day because banks were closed already. Then, right after they acknowledges that payment was received we including our safety manager thought that they will release the truck but AMPM did not because our company still needs to pay another USD 2,500 for bringing the burnt trailer to the junk yard. So we had to wait for another 2 days because it was weekend already. Then, I ask Robert to at least let us get few clothes in our truck since we only have grabbed 2 clothes and we already are waiting for 5days but he did not allow us (so MEAN). Eventually, our company paid the remaining amount they wrote in another set of invoice for dumping the burnt trailer. (how do you call this?) He didn't include in the first invoice he sent because he want more. Nov 10, 2025 past 12noon AMPM released our truck from Nov 4-10, 2025, 6 days of impounding our truck. AMPM roadside & recovery cannot be trusted most especially if your company is not from USA. They surely will rip you off. I/We can't recommend this to the public. Their eyes grows with a $ sign. I know an believe that our company will surely pay however they have to work with insurance and all. Robert is such a LIAR.
I had a very frustrating experience with Incompetent Towing, and I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you need a tow. They towed my all-wheel-drive vehicle incorrectly by dragging it, which is a clear mistake. Anyone with basic knowledge of AWD systems knows this can cause significant damage to the transmission, but fortunately, the only damage I noticed was to the tires. It’s a relief, though the situation could have been much worse.
When I called to report the issue, I received no help or accountability from their customer service. The response was dismissive, and they essentially told me there was nothing they could do. It was incredibly unprofessional and frustrating.
To make things worse, they dragged the car with the handbrake on for about 80 feet, which could have damaged the rear brakes. Surprisingly, they weren’t damaged, but this is an example of how careless and inexperienced they were with handling my vehicle.
If you want a towing company that takes proper care of your car and knows what they’re doing, do yourself a favor and choose a different service. Incompetent Towing was not only unprofessional but also negligent in their approach.
Edit: Their response is professional as a façade, on the phone the Owner told me to not call and that they don't give a "damn" (this is verbatim). Public Representation is key to a business and they use it as a front to make it seem as it was resolved, this is my update that it wasn't!
The dispatcher who responded to my call for assistance was extremely helpful and had someone out to me in 10 minutes. Aaron got my vehicle hooked and loaded with ease. Their professionalism made a terrible evening a whole lot easier!
They stalk around areas they can prey on truck drivers they did it few yrs back at Walmart cuz they saw me leave to go shower before I left.. then paid them an excessive amount for truck n trailer separate when they were together and today left truck at a truck parking spot at a stripe’s went to an audit in Laredo got back and truck gone from parking spot and they sd it was left unattended I get half a day a day but 6/7 hrs tops what took me to go to my audit n they take my truck
This company here goes above and beyond to get your truck fixed and not rip off the company you work for.very honest people working there.i highly recommend this company to any truck driver out here in Mission Tx.and surrounding cities excellent Mechanics and very reliable people. Very satisfied with service and quality of the recovery and towing of my mtorhome. Robert responded quickly and explained the process along with supervising all the arrangements to ensure my motorhome was not damaged. The rest of the staff was also very competent, friendly and helpful.
I was stuck on Jackson earlier around 6pm, road was flooded and water was rising and getting in the car. I called sooooo many other companies and they either didn’t have equipment or wouldn’t be able to get in the water but Aaron with AMPM did just that!! I called and since he was close he got to my car fast. The price was very reasonable and the service was amazing. 10/10 would absolutely recommend their services should yall find yourselves in a similar sitchh
630 pm on a Monday and ampm was the only company who was available, excellent customer service. Used 2 other times on the same day on short notice and they came through. Zero complaints. Great business.

I was on a delivery run for my job when unfortunately I was driven into a ditch due to some navigational Issues. I was there with no way to get ahold of any of my family members since they live in another city. But luckily I called AMPM around 1 am. When the driver named Aaron showed up he said he'd help, unfortunately, I was given a price of the minimum towing services and I could not pay the full balance. But out of the kindness of his heart, he said he could help me regardless of a lower price I could pay fully. As he got my car out of the ditch I asked him if I could get his information to pay him later when I could slowly. He kindly declined, stating that he understood my dilemma and asked for nothing back in return. He was extremely professional from the beginning phone call, to the time we parted ways, if such unfortunate events happen again I will only call AMPM and will ask for Aaron once again. If I ever get the chance to run into Aaron I will pay my debt to him. Thank you Aaron!

These people are the scum of the earth. We had a coolant hose blow and the charge $359 for the hose and $229 for the hose clips. They bought the part from Freightliner for $17. The threatened to tow the truck if we didnt pay $1632.42

I have utilized this company twice. The first time it went smoothly. The second time, the person I talked to on the phone guaranteed a discount when I asked him "how much will it cost", I accepted his word for a fair price. When the tow arrived, the gentleman recognized me, I thought it would be a good thing, it was not. They charged $500 dollars when previously they charged $300. Stay away from this place if you want to not overly spend. Note: when I texted and called the company to ask about the discount he didn't answer at all. Go figure..
I had a flat tire in Hidalgo, Tx and Keith arrived within 40 minutes. Right off he was attentive and helpful. I was totally lost on what to do. He advised on what to do in regards to my spare. I rate this company and employees a 10/10. Hopefully I don’t have issues in the future, but if I do I would definitely recommend them. Thank you
This wrecker company has the worst customer service. The owner has no people skills or respect for anybody. If you need a wrecker service do not call this company. This person offered to tow our vehicle to his shop and he told us he would fix it there. When he opened his shop on Monday he still had not even checked vehicle. We called to check status on vehicle and he got really aggressive on the phone, after a couple of attempts to find out how much repair was going to cost he started yelling at us to come and get our vehicle. I am righting this review with respectful words. He yelled at us really harsh and disrespectful words. Please stay away from this company.
Definitely would not recommend. They are not upstanding in dealing with customers. They overcharge from price quoted and when asked about the cost they get extremely aggressive and insulting! Save yourself some aggrevation and call another tow company!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!They ripped me off of $498 and wouldn’t come back out to finish the job. I was told paying up front assured a refund of $150 when they returned to install the part that was on order. I paid for the part separately. When the part came in and I called them to return to install it , they refused saying I had given them a bad review and they weren’t coming back. I have never heard such vulgar language from a business. Bottom line is, I paid $498 for nothing. I hadn’t even given a review and this was an excuse to keep my money and not do the work. This was a local company. The worst part of all was the vulgar language. That kind of language should never be used when you’re serving the public. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! This has not been resolved! I expect no less than a partial refund since the Tech was at my RV no more than 15 minutes and refused to return to install the part that I ordered and I paid for. He agreed to install it when it came in and he would also refund $150. He said the additional $150 was to make sure I called him back and not another company. He lied! Worst of all was the horrible language used when I called him back to complete the job. I expect the $150 he originally said I’d receive plus another $100. The 15 minutes of labor should not amount to any more than $250. $500 for 15 minutes is a total rip off and I will take this to small claims court if I need to. DO NOT under any circumstances use this company. These people are crooks!!
Really got excellent service! After we called, they were there within minutes and helped us tow our car. They also offer tire changes if stranded. Guy gave us a card for 10% off if we need a tow for next time. Excellent service and really helpful staff at a good price as well! Would definitely recommend if you need help out there.
