I arrived to drop off 4 x bags of aluminum cans. Operation seems new, and I was hurried through the process. Ticket showed I had 42 lbs of cans and they gave me .40 a lb. I believe the going rate is .55 to .60. I will try another drop site next time.
My husband and I have been coming here for 2 years now. Their staff is bilingual, friendly and fast. The prices here are always within a few cents of their competitors, sometimes they pay even more. Definitely making this our spot for metal scrapping.

Please do not take your scrap here. We are regular scrapers, and we know for sure that we got ripped off. There are no prices posted to let you know at least how much you can get for metal per 100 pounds. They pick and choose what metals they take. So when you get there you know it's metal but they don't take it. The scale does look outdated to me. They don't have a large scale display to even see your weight. It's best to walk over there and look at your scale weight. They got us for the last time. It's not fair or just that you're doing that to people. We are all trying to make it, and we work hard as well.
They have turned me away twice already. They said they close at 4:45 not 5:00. Other than that good place to sell scrap. (Revise) They screwed me on my load gave me tin price for short iron.
Don’t take your strap here not even worth wasting your time because they like to steal from people by taking away pounds from the scrap without y’all noticing 😡 just keep an eye on the scale when y’all take your scrap so y’all can have accurate weight and you won’t be leaving your money behind also if you don’t know the material please ask for Adrian he’s very good in telling y’all what your bringing in not like the owner’s they will tell you something different and again y’all just got robbed because they won’t tell you what it is just be careful people when you take the scrap to this awful place
It was my first time visiting Fortan. It was a good experience because the price was good and they were fast. I will now start coming here because the workers were very friendly and of course of the $$$$$. Frank the owner was nice.
Don't take your scrap to this place unless you want to get ripped off. Had 7 bags of aluminum cans and weighed each bag before hand with the weight written on each bag. It was 130 lbs. Their weight was like 20 lbs less. So they said their scale was correct. A big scale that is old and out in the weather all the time. The bottom line is I will never go back there again. And I suggest nobody should go there because they will rip you off.
I've been numerous of times, it's always smiles and how can we help everytime. Very very friendly and helpful people, would highly recommend. Prices are always fair with the current market!
