After getting into a minor accident on the freeway Mr David came to my rescue he was recommended by a family friend he got to me in Houston in about 30 mins if not less loaded my car up an made sure I had a ride home. He called me to let me know the damage done (control arm cracked rim a finder popped out of place) and priced out everything a worked with my budget. Had my Durango back rolling in less than 48. I cannot thank him & his team enough for saving me in the rain last minute. Thank you all for your hard work on an ugly day. Before an after pictures attached. He also was very happy to work with me outside of business hours I knew I’d be late to get my vehicle a he stayed to make sure I was satisfied with the service he tendered. They’re heaven sent! 🤍
David Kostka and his team truly went above and beyond helping me retrieve my car. There was no battery and the wires were cut so David called O'Reilly so I can get a discount on a new battery and he was able to fix the wires and install it. I was also told that I was able to restart the computer program in the car only at a dealership and that I would have to have it towed there but David and his team were successfully able to overwrite it and start my car so I can at least get home and deal with the dealership and other things later since I do not have the time or money to do it now. Very thankful for the service they provided and I highly recommend them to everyone!

Rarely, will I take the time to give a review of a company. But I really must say, Kostka was there for me in a time of need when I didn’t even know I needed them. I was in a major wreck going west on I 10, and I was in a fog. EMTs had released me, but the tow truck driver, who towed my totaled truck, assured me my wrist was broken even if the EMTs had not caught it. He also encouraged me to go immediately to an emergency room, which I did. He was right. Not only did they tow my truck and make sure all my belongings stayed in it until I retrieved them; they also took time to care. This is the kind of customer service for which we should all strive. These folks can be trusted. Thank you Kostka and specifically Jeff for your kindness.

I don't know anything about their auto repair or paint and body or anything, I do know that they have a storage lot where they tow cars that are broke down on the freeway. And they're just like every other storage facility and nickel and dime you to death. Most of them like this place we're not very friendly either. But that was my experience with them. It's ALL About the Benjamin$.
Mr. Kostka and his staff went above and beyond to help me retrieve my vehicle from their storage. I couldn't be more appreciative of his generosity. I offered to bake them cookies but my baking skills probably aren't very good. Thank you again for all the help. Your business will be promoted every chance I have the opportunity. Bless y'all.
Amazing!! David Kostka has always been great to my family he's a True Local with a big heart. Now we came came in for a second opinion because we trusted a mechanic we work with closely and he said "New Motor guys plus a coupla grand for labor." So here comes our second opinion Tiger...now this is Kostka Auto Repair's in house mechanic. After his estimate came in at half of our first estimate, we were like well lets get her done. We got our truck back with the motor purring, saving gas and riding smooth. I cannot recommend a better place for mechanic work. Tiger you are the best and David Kostka you've always been a blessing to our family.
This place is where my car was towed after it was stolen and wrecked. We were unable to collect the car from them at the time. This place took the car, fixed it, and apparently either sold it or they are driving it around without changing the tags, plates, title and registration. Now, almost 4 years later, I am receiving toll violations because whoever they gave/sold it to is driving through tolls and not paying them. Beware this business.
I was in a minor accident on October 24th, the car wasn’t repaired until just today and even then they won’t release my vehicle to me because of checks they “claim” they haven’t received yet. I spoke to my insurance earlier and they told me the only thing I would need to take was one check and the deductible. However the body shop is telling me a whole different story. And these people don’t help you at all. Every time we go to check on the car it seems like they’re all laid back not doing any work
I had a car fail (engine trouble) Wednesday afternoon on the road, I needed it towed to a repair shop. I'm new to Crosby area, so I asked the wrecker driver who came, "Does your shop do engine repair?" he told me yes, but they wouldn't see it that day or likely not even Thursday. I was told it will be diagnosed on Friday. Friday they did not look at it, and after I called I was told Monday morning. Called back again on Monday, still no look, told that afternoon, called again that afternoon, again no look. Told Tuesday Morning no look, told Tuesday afternoon, still no look. Now I've been lied to 4 times on when they will work on it, and I'm angry and wanting to take it to a different shop ready to start work today. ... NOW, they are holding it hostage for an unspecified $175 tow charge on the car, with their truck, to their shop, 4 miles away. ROBBERY. And now that he's upset that I didn't like his tow charge, he is THREATENING ME with 50$ per day storage fees, and REFUSING to even consider work on the car. Avoid like the plague. These guys definitely do not want your business, they only want your money. Not one time did they call me to inform me of delays, not one time did they apologize, and every time they put me off as a whining fool who doesn't understand automotive and mechanical work. QUITE ON THE CONTRARY, I've pulled many a car apart in my own garage and repaired many issues on my own. I just did not have time to fix this one right now and went to try a local shop.
Long story short.. check your fuel pump relay before you think your car/truck won't run and you need to have it towed... the long story. Our company truck was stolen and police recovered it and this company picked it up. After speaking with the police the truck was abandoned but clearly ran where it was ditched. However when we inspected the truck the battery was missing. We were like okay thief took it no big deal. Once we paid to get the truck we were not allowed to put a battery in the truck and we were told we had to push the truck across a 5 lane road or we need to have it towed. We chose to push it and buy a battery. Come to find out it has no gas... okay we put gas.. still would not crank up. After a little diagnosis we find out the fuel pump was not turning on so we check the fuel relay...... guess what... it was gone.. doubt the thief had time to take a battery out.. but come on pulled out the only relay that was the fuel pump lol.. this company most likely took the battery but definitely took the relay switch. Just to try to get use to get it towed. They should be happy they already got a free $200 for a tow down the road.

I’d give them negative stars if I could. You’ll be better off using ANY repair shop besides them.
UPDATE*
I just got my car back - 63 days after they received it. There’s a piece missing. My whole trunk is scratched up, it looks like they sat tools on top of it, they clearly did no alignment it pulls so hard to the left & the inside of it has a THICK layer of dirt/dust from sitting out there for over 2 months.
The absolute WORST repair shop to exist.
Id give you guys a good rating. If your wrecker driver didnt just run me off the road and scratch up my car. Just reported him amd your buissness. And i called the cops get some real drivers who arnt above the law.
Anytime I need something done to one of my cars, even minor paint work on a scratch, I call Kostka. These are good people. I remember one time, a friend of mine's BMW was stuck in a ditch and they came and towed it out for free, on love. Good people! That same friend went back to them a few times for minor paint work. They also helped us big time in the flood.

Kostka's was a huge help in diagnosing our issue in our truck. We were passing through on our way to a wedding with our family of 5 and our camper. We traveled close to 1400 miles from Pennsylvania to be here when we had issues with our truck. They helped us out diagnosing the issue and giving me the assurance we could make it to our destination where we would have down time to fix our issue!

They always go above and beyond. Have been using them for years. They even did a $400 repair for free during Christmas one time! Customer service is 10/10.
have been in several wrecks in the last few years, and everytime I have went to Kotska Auto Repair. The first time I was in a wreck the owner, David Kostka was at the site right away, he followed me to the school to drop off my daughter and assisted me each step of the way. My Honda was repaired and looked better after his shop touched it then it did before it went in. Another time he went out of his way to come and unlock me out of my rental not once but twice in the same day. Again my car looked better coming out then going in. He has always gone above and beyond and body shop I have ever used. in my last wreck, David, drove his wrecker across town to come and get me from the wreck site. What owner of what company do you know that would do this for their customer? This shop is very personable and always answer the phone and/or call me back in a timely manner with a friendly attitude. I never have had one complaint on using them the 3 times I have already used them and I would recommend any of my family and friends to them. Great place to take your car.
STAY AWAY INDEED! They tell you one thing and do another. They are nothing but overpriced lip service. There only leverage is they already have your car. They kept mine for 7 weeks and the same day after pick up, the battery started dying during start ups. Took it back for the over inflated price paid, expecting it to perform like the car I once knew. Had to fly out for personal reason, but return to pick up my car. That's when I found out they replaced my battery without notifying me and charged me $300 to boot. If I'm not mistaken, it's common practice to contact the customer when something is being done at an additional cost other than what was expected on delivery. There is so much more, but you've been WARNED!
STAY AWAY!! These guys towed my car after an accident. They were super nice and told me great things. Then the next day they wouldn't turn over my vehicle to the shop that I authorized to pick it up and do the repairs! Biggest hassle ever trying to get my car back from them! they just wanted to make a sale off me. BEWARE!
Was in an accident and my front end was damaged, all cosmetic on a 4 year old honda fit- my car looks better than before the accident, the paint is beautiful and equally as important the staff were extremely friendly. It took a few weeks, but that may be normal since they were working with my insurance company. I'd recommend Kostka.
