I make an "appointment" for some service, and by the time I got there, it was already full... Like, what?? We had an appointment, right? Of course, they just wanted to leave early that day... That's fine, but at least tell customers that you don't have appointments instead of lying to the customers.
Overall great job. Their location downtown was busy so they worked me in right in on their hwy 80 location. Dropped off my car and they had my tiree replaced in under an hour.
Honest guys with integrity that stand by their work....and are super friendly. Lucas, the store manager, went out of his way to take care of us. Spirit filled believers in Jesus working as if their working for the Lord. I won't take my vehicle anywhere else to get serviced.
I had my truck in 3 different shops trying to get my wheel balanced and these guys knocked it out fast and she is back to being smooth down the road. I’m running some extra wide wheels and the road forced balanced them. Couldn’t give them any more thanks!
Don't do business with theese people the did not complete my lift they left out the drive shaft spacer witch come included in yhe lift witch made my drive shaft stick out of my transmission 2 inches causing slack amd vibration and insisted they knew what they was doing they have been doing it for years and the slack and vibration caused my rear end to go out in my truck I spoke with other mechanics and the maker of the lift as well that all said that will mess up my rear end and transmission but big 5 is stating thwy dis nothing wrong and are not trying to do anything about it to fix it
Took my husband's truck for oil change and tire rotation. There is no way to make an appointment; also DID NOT EVEN PUT A STICKER saying oil change was done! S They said they were putting a sticker on it, then didn't do it! My husband's truck is not driven that much. How many people do oil changes by memory only (wo sticker) NONE! I didn't notice no sticker till I get home; We live 45 minutes away!
I would have been happy if they handled me the sticker to put in the truck. The stickers help people remember to when to change oil!!
Getting my tires fixed and they're always saving my butt come here for great service and note: THEY DON'T CHARGE UNLESS YOU NEED IT!! no inspection fees, they'll give you what you NEED, and the staff are super great and friendly!!!
So I called this morning looking for a tire. I was told the tire was in the warehouse and would be there at 8:30am. I arrive at 9:00am just to give a little more time for tire to be there. I wasn’t greeted….as I walked in saw a gentleman behind the counter so I explained reason why I was there. He said he didn’t take the call he knows nothing about it and was very rude. So I asked him who answers the phone he said him and another guy named Lucas so I ask if the other guy was available. He told me that the other gentleman was in the back and would come when he could. So I pulled my phone out and contacted another company to see if they had the tire in stock. The gentleman was still sitting there never went to get Lucas. As I was walking out a group of gentleman came from the back but the other company had the tire in stock. So I left please work on your customer service.
Very impressed with how professional the staff is, very friendly, cost for the product and quick service. Go check out Lucus and his staff. Won’t be disappointed!
Did a great job on my alignment and balancing my tires which is something that royal off-road had tried to fix multiple times and could not while big 5 did it first time and it didn’t take them nearly as long!
Update
After a small discussion, Big 5 came through, and mader everything right once again. The issue was explained and delt with. I feel confident, in doing business with the company again. Excellent customer service.

I am severely disappointed in the service received at your Highway 80 location.
Backstory
The AC went out in my car a day before I took it in. I had checked around with a couple of other places. like Big 5 on s tyler st. They suggested i check with their sister company, becuase they would not be able to get to it, till the next week. Next i got a couple more people who look at it . one quoteing 1k to 2k, the other 3.4k. So, after the 3.4k quote i decided to go home and call around again.
Luckly, as we pulled out, the passenger, say another Big 5 (Hwy 80 location) so we pulled in and checked with them. They were able to get the car in that day, and have it done the same day. they tested everything, took longer the quoted. No biggie, we understand you get busy. All in all the problem, was the compressor. So they quoted us 1.1k to 1.5k for a new system. Cool, i can handle that.
They work on it till 6pm and get it done. I get a friend to drive me up there, we get there and pay the AC works great. I drive it home, nice and chill. We are happy. The next day, head to work early in the morning still working great. My girlfriend drive from work to pick me up from work. She is sitting in the parking lot, when she suddenly hears a grinding or another sound. She thinks it is from where i work. at 5pm it stops. after working in a warehouse in 100+ degrees and my daughter in the car. The AC stops working again. We call them up, they say the AC guy, won't be in till monday. So she takes it by the 80 location and they work on it.
They spend a few hours on it, and return it back to her, with the AC working like it was before we took it in, in the first place. Great service in this 100+ degree weather, The Ac blows cool, but not cold. I am dissappointed in this location for not do a proper job. I was going to bring another car into them to get it fixed but now. I will not use them again.

After calling all over to mount some oversized tires and wheel with no luck, this place handled it for me, the crew there is very experienced. Did an awesome job took care of my stuff like it was their own. I'll definitely be back!
I just called and got great service over the phone! We didn't need the tire I called for, so I called them back to let them know. I loved the customer service and I will use them in the future.
The owner sold me lug nuts without the key to use them. Then when the technician put the key in the box with the lug nuts, the owner then pulled it back out and charged me an additional 20$ for the the one socket to use with the lug nuts i just purchased from him. About 80$ for lug nuts and a key. After inspecting the lug nuts they all had bits of rust on them. Needless to say i wont be coming back to this over priced hole in the wall.
When I called about a grill guard, I was told they offered a large selection at reasonable prices, but when I went, the guy was stuck on selling me only one, expensive, one. And he was ordering off the same website as I could have, just charging for the installation. They will also install one you order and bring in, so if you find one you like better or cheaper, it's better to just bring it in to be installed

I would give a single star, but on the Second return trip I believe the shop upgraded the shocks without charges.
I drive is a single wheel, one ton, extended cab, heavy utility bed truck over 10,000#. This should be right up this shop's alley, you figure right?
Bring it in for bad tire/vibration.. Diagnosed as tread seperaNeedtion via suspension. Probably. Ok.. tires anyway. Fix it... day and a half later, 4 tire, suspension parts, and I know a bunch of labor.. It's ready..
A day of work later it's back to them due to loose parts.. Half a day later, back on the road.
Boy that didn't last... Day and a half later I'm in Marshall contemplating putting this truck on a trailer and draggin' it in.
Decision made.. Drive the back roads slow. This time they have the truck two nights and two days, third trip. When I picked it up.... I was told it was fixed.
That's all... FIXED.
So why do I have this constant vibration still.
Three trips, no telling how many man hours of labor.
I thought this is what Longview Tire and Automotive /Big 5 did.. Truck tires/truck repair? Hmmmm
So, A few days later I still have the vibration. Even have a video going the interstate that demonstrates that. Took the truck to another Big-5 location and (long story short) they verified the vibration but wouldn't do anything about it since it was not installed at their location. They did balance the tires at my insistence. (No difference in the ride).
Brian and the guys at big 5 went out of their way to get me a great price on tires. I can't say enough about the management and employees here. Thanks again guys.

AMAZING service from the moment you make the first call to them until even after you pick up your vehicle!! Took my son's Avalanche to have air conditioner and brakes checked out.. communicated with me from start to finish and completed major repairs in one day even after finding one additional problem during final test drive. I honestly never thought I'd be writing a review on a auto repair shop, but these guys are A+!! (Hwy 80/Marshall Ave location!!)

I am only giving 2 stars because I feel like they did a good job of paying attention to detail. We asked for a tire rotation and oil change. It took them over an an hour to do this. They told us they were done, and then they didn't do the tire rotation. So they took the car back. The tire rotation was $30 alone. I've never paid that much for a tire rotation in my life. I don't think I will be back.
