Listen when I say this is your go to mechanic shop! We had a transmission fluid leak and Mr. Pryor got us in quickly, found the leak, and had the car finished before lunch. This is our second time using his shop, and each time his service has been great! He also replaced our alternator. Friendly, HONEST, and affordable! We have taken my van there twice now. Honest, fast, and accurate work both times. Both repairs were quick but the second just blows me away. Dropped off at 12pm and ready to go by 5. Very thankful for their hard work and trustworthiness!
I bought my Honda here to have them look at a specific part that i wanted replaced. They charged me a diagnostic fee and didn't even look at the part i asked them to look at. When i pointed this out the guy looked at the part for 10 seconds and didnt tell me what was wrong with it. I just paid the fee and left after that. This was 2 years ago
I had taking my truck there because of a check engine light Terrence stop what he was doing and listened to everything, i having a mechanical background, was telling him. He fixed the problem and the light hasn't came on since that was a couple of months ago. All around great guy will be doing business with him from that day forward
My experience with Terrence at Kuntry Boy Automotive has been nothing short of awesome. He is the honest vehicle specialist it's always hard to find. Pricing never seems unrealistic and he is always up front and honest about all work he does and keeps his word and schedule. I'm glad I found this place and will always bring more business his direction.
I just happened to stop at this shop today and am very glad I did. I have been driving around with a crumpled bumper and missing back wiper for 3 years for fear of having them replaced. Terrance searched and found used but good parts to replace them with. I did not expect to have them replaced so soon but he ordered, had delivered and replaced them today. He is a very nice, honest, personable young man. I now have a mechanic for all my future mechanical needs. Everyone should give him a try. You will not be dissappointed.
I called them to see if they would bring a battery for my Ford Escape and put it on for me and he did. The service was awesome and he checked the oil and water before he left. Extremely helpful and courteous. I would definitely call them again!
He replaced my ignition gave me new keys and trouble shot my engine great work and the truck ran fine drove it from Longview to Dallas no problems coming back everything's cranking did a very good job and I'm very satisfied and call me the next day to follow up to make sure everything was fine I'm very impressed. I will be coming back to here for all of my auto needs!!
Me and my family were headed to Dallas, TX from Monroe,LA, my truck ended up running hot once we got to Longview,TX, I googled mobile mechanics and saw this shop had about 4 stars so I gave them a try, he was very professional over the phone, the owner told me he would send his towing crew to get us and bring us to his shop to fix my vehicle. Unfortunately his crew was tied up at the time, so he called me back and said he would come personally and fix my truck where we are at. I've never heard an owner say that. He came within an hour and had us back up within an hour and back on the road. He was very professional and upfront, I highly recommend this place.
No body has been able to fix my headlight properly every time I leave the automotive place something goes wrong with it with in a week.
Terrence was not only extremely fast about fixing my problem but he actually fixed it! and at a very reasonable price!

I came to longview on a trip and after getting checked in at my hotel I went to go get something to eat but my truck would not start. I was so stressed out and being 6hrs away from home and needing to get back to my kids didnt make it any easier. I called this gentleman the next morning and he was able to get the part for my truck and have it running again in a few hrs. I can not thank this man enough for helping me out and he is reasonably priced too. Such an amazing place and crew. Highly highly recommend if you are broke down in Longview to go to him for help!!!!!
Had my vehicle to the shop within 2 hours of my initial call. Water pump replacement finished and vehicle ready by 10 the next day. Staff was friendly and the cost was not as too bad. Use these guys!
The owner is super nice and friendly but unfortunately this is not the mechanic you are looking for… I brought in my vehicle to repair the leaking oil pan, after 3 days and $700+ I get my car back only to discover a couple of days later that my oil pan is still leaking.
I had another mechanic take a look at it and I was told that the oil pan was never even replaced, that’s why it’s still leaking. He told me that it’s leaking in multiple places and the leak is so bad that I need to take it to a transmission shop to fix. I was never told that previously - this mechanic just went ahead and took my money and didn’t change anything at all.
Don’t recommend this mechanic at all, go elsewhere and save yourself some money.
It's a shame that I did not have a positive experience here, since Terrance is such a nice guy. But I have to be honest: he was 2 hours late picking my vehicle up, it wasn't ready on time when he said it would be, the problem wasn't properly diagnosed (the grinding noise of my brakes was impossible not to hear when the vehicle was driven) and although he did replace my brakes as I asked, he should have been honest with me about the real issue. HOWEVER, I wasn't upset until the next day. He told me to come back after work and he'd fix the actual problem, which required a special part. The next day, the day I was I to bring my truck back, he said he wasn't sure if he could get to the junkyard to get the parts needed. This was a serious problem on my truck that couldve ended up causing an accident and posed a serious safety risk. Needless to say, i had to have somewhere else repair the problem and was out another $300. Also, I never heard back from him after he said he'd keep me 'updated.' I am most upset at his lack of reliability, disorganization, and feel like he should have been more direct and straightforward with me. I wish I had had a better experience here and could say great things bc he is a very nice guy and seems knowledgeable, but my experience was stressful and ended up costing me more money bc I had to pay for new brakes AND pay AGAIN to fix the ACTUAL problem. Sadly, I will not be a repeat customer like I wanted to be.

Terrence is amazing! I was having trouble with my transmission on my 2013 Hyundai Elantra I called a couple of places and after describing the problem I was told by one place and it would be $7,000 for another transmission extremely discouraged I didn't know what I was going to do my sister suggested I call Terrence that Country Boy so I did I describe my problem ask him what he thought he also told me I needed another transmission however he told me I was looking at less than $1,500 he told me to bring it in immediately and he would get on it backpack my sister received a text that said he would be finished with my car the next day the next day he called me and what is done with my car it's been running perfect ever since I'm so pleased with the price the work that was done the the customer service everything about this place is excellent highly recommended parents you are my hero thank you so much
Had a GREAT experience with Terrance. Called him PAST business hours , told him my issue IMMEDIATELY he knew the issue , quoted me an AMAZING price ! Came in , he fixed the issue , price never changed from quote . As soon as I pulled off I noticed the change & baby my car driving good AF ! Will be back to do back brakes & other work . Dedicated to detail and getting your car running but horrible customer service as I was yelled at for standing in front of MY car while his guy attempts to fix what I just paid to have fixed.. But the 1 star came from the 325 I was originally quoted to 755 with no update or warning. !! For a power steering pump that is STILL making noise. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO HIM FOR ANYTHING!!!
Terrance is a great mechanic that stands behind his work. He diagnoses the problem quickly and is fair on his price. Straight shooter, no additional maintenance on something that doesn't need to be fixed . Prides himself on honesty and integrity.
My husband needed help with his starter. Nobody showed up except Terrence. He did great and really helped us out of a bind! Would definitely recommend and use him again!

Consumer Complaint against: Kuntry Boy Automotive Mobile Mechanic Service

Dear Better Business Bureau:
On Saturday, January 27, 2018, we contacted Terrence Pryor, owner of Kuntry Boy Automotive Mobile Mechanic Service requested repair on my Ford Escape water pump. He picked up my SUV from my work location and provided an estimated completion and delivery date of Thursday, February 1, 2018. On Friday, February 2, 2018, he contacted us and said that as he was putting my SUV “back together” he noticed that the timing was off. Therefore, he and his team of mechanics needed to “bust” it back down and explore the issue. This would take an additional week. After almost a week, Thursday, February 8, 2018, Terrence informed us that my SUV was still making a noise and that “something still wasn’t right”. Two days later, Terrence recounted to my boyfriend that my gaskets were messed up due to the SUV running hot. The gaskets were still covered under warranty by FORD. Terrence offered to put the SUV “back together” and tow it to my workplace. We asked him to tow it directly to FORD Service Repair. On Saturday, February 10, 2018, Terrence came to pick up but didn’t drop off my SUV at FORD’s until days later.
After the FORD Service Repair received my SUV, we were informed that the car was delivered in pieces and that the gasket was damaged but not due to overheating. In addition to the car being in pieces and a busted gasket, the FORD mechanic informed us that the back axel was damaged due to being improperly towed. The axel isn’t cover under warranty. In order to make a proper diagnosis, the FORD mechanic would have to put the car “back together”; that would cost $630. $630 would not repair the car.
After speaking with Ford, we contacted Terrence and offered to tow our SUV back to his place if he would reassemble the car as it was initially delivered to him. He said that he would charge us an additional test run for $150. We didn’t request a test run.
The above summary provides a timeline that began with a running SUV and ended with a SUV in pieces, broken gasket and damaged axel. Once we gathered that Kuntry Boy Automotive Mobile Mechanic Service was ill-equipped and ill-trained to handle our repair, we just wanted the car back as it was delivered. We never imagined that it would result in a complete loss of a car and financial catastrophe. I’m beyond disappointed with Terrence’s work and service. I tried to give him the benefit of doubt but I’m left feeling duped and conned. Kuntry Boy Automotive Mobile Mechanic Service misrepresented itself as an experienced and reputable company (per reviews) that could handle a water pump replacement. Not only did Terrence not replace my water pump but he damaged my car and rendered it inoperable.
To resolve the problem, I would appreciate a refund of all the monies that I have paid to Kuntry Boy Automotive Mobile Mechanic Service, plus the cost to reassemble my car, a new gasket and the cost to repair back axel. I evitable plan to seek damages from Terrence in small claims court but I would like to warn other potential victims/consumers.

(covered by warranty but Kuntry Boy should pay for damaging)
