We were traveling from NC on a two+ week road trip we had been planning for three years. 70 miles from Amarillo, TX the alternator went out on our sprinter van. We were able to get to the gas station right off I-40 in McLean, Texas. We called for a tow, and Frankie came out and had our van running in 10 minutes. We still needed a new alternator; he made a call and had us one the following morning. In the meantime, he let us park at his garage and even let us plug in to a drop cord so we'd have power. The next morning he went to a town 40 minutes away to get the alternator and we were back on the road by 11:00am. Top notch business and people. We don't wish for anyone to break down, but if it is going to happen, that's the place for it! :-D
I had a wheel bearing fail on my road trip, the driver went above and beyond ensuring I was dropped off at a good repair shop, and ensured I was able to get a room next door at the hotel before he drove off, their service helped turn a sour situation around!!
We had a lower ball joint break on our trip from Virgina to Las Vegas nevada. They picked us up off I 40 in 15 minutes, got us repaired including new tire and replacement rim, back on the road in under 4 hours. Honest and excellent shop, great cats to comfort the wife, too!

OMG, we keep God on His toes!! An hour from Amarillo, we mysteriously lost the ball on the hitch of a small Uhaul trailer.
The trailer dragged by the chains for less than 1/4 mile as my hubby safely pulled off I-40. According to Google the two nearby auto supplies were closed until Monday. We thought we had to go 35 miles! We stopped at a gas station at the exit right near us to ask for local info. They told us to go to the Sparling Auto store next door down the service road and call the posted number since it was 3 pm on Saturday and they were closed. We did. Frankie said he'd send his wife because he was a few towns over, give her 10-15 minutes. She arrived in 3 min! We bought a new ball and a wrench for just $34 and she refused my wish to add an extra $20 for her inconvenience. In under 30 minutes, we were back on the road. PHEW!!!! PRAISING GOD FOR PRAYERS ANSWERED!!! Small town Americans are the greatest people in the world!
Was Traveling through from Texas to Oklahoma and got stuck in Erick With a flat tire. called Roadside Assistance and these guys were dispatched. excellent customer service! so nice when it was hot we were tired. He had no complaints and was very friendly. Definitely would recommend this company anytime! Thank you so much for helping us!

The guys at sparling were amazing. We were 5 hours into a 22 hour road trip and hit a chair someone dropped on the interstate. It Went through our radiator, condenser, and Intercooler. The guys got us back on the road and their kindness was unmatched. Definitely recommend to anyone in need

Absolutely incredible customer service! Had a blow out on my RV and Rick came out and did a phenomenal job. He went above and beyond and checked ALL my tires and aired them up and answered all of my million questions I had for him.

Called and left a message on Memorial Day. Got a call back in 5 minutes. He opened and had someone there before I got there. Chris said I needed two tires checked them all. Did the work and had me on my way in 40 minutes. I was charged less then other places charged for 1 tire and no installation. Frank and Rhonda Thank you very much. Chris, great job. Me and my grandpa had an issue with his truck driving back to Ohio from Arizona in Shamrock TX and his roadside assistance sent Sparling. A man arrived named Rick and he was awesome! Saved the day, was amazingly nice and he is fantastic at his job! Thanks again Rick!
Great people! Our camper broke down on the highway. They repaired it enough to get back to the shop and avoid a tow. Then gave up more of their Saturday to fix it right away. We’re back on the road within hours!! Thank you!
Just have to say that these guys were amazing. Quick to come and tow my vehicle back to the shop, quick repairs and had me back on the road faster than anyone else could have. My husband and I stopped in Shamrock, TX and noticed our vehicle was leaking oil. After a runaround with our terrible dealership warranty people, Sparling towed our vehicle (twice).... got it in their shop and looked at within hours of it being towed. They were super helpful and got us fixed up quick! Highly recommended!
They towed me into town and changed my tire and still charged me $20.-$200 less than anybody in the area at 3AM. Rick's a good guy. And he runs a nice business. Might not be much to look at. But he definitely does fine work at a fair price.
Leaf spring broke on my travel trailer as we passed McLean. I limped to Sparlings and lo and behold they replaced the spring and we were on the road again in just over an hour! Can't say enough about how friendly they are. Excellent price too. They could have held me up for anything but their price was fair, less than I expected. They do roadside work too. Thank goodness we didn't have to fix this on the side of I-40. Sparling turned what could have been a disaster into an amazing experience.
My 2004 Honda Civic broke down in Shamrock Texas. It was recommended that I call Sparling Automotive and towing. On Sunday, I spoke with the owner, Frank. I told him I thought I could get my car there so he asked me to drop it off Monday morning. When I dropped it off he offered me a ride 20 miles back to the campsite where I was staying. Once my civic was fixed, he called me and offered to drop it off to me! Very accommodating, very friendly and very affordable! Thank you Frank and the mechanics at Sparling Automotive!!!
A few weeks ago, I blew a tire on I-40 Eastbound driving to Indiana to make it home to my terminally ill grandmother. It was late, I would have had to wait for a tire shop to open the following morning before getting back on the road had it not been for the gentlemen at Sparling Auto. I can't thank them enough, they had me back on the road in less than an hour, and didn't gouge me on price for a used tire to be mounted and balanced! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you gentlemen from the bottom of my heart, I can never express my full gratitude for what you did for me!
This place is phenomenal!!!! On our way to OKC this afternoon my daughter's messed up her tire and she didn't have a spare.. the closes town was McLean. So we loaded up her tire into our truck and drove I called a few people but No one was open or they didn't have her size tire. We get to McLean. And a very kind man gave us the cell # to the owner of this company... unfortunatly he was out of town but he called his employee and this guy came right over and replaced the tire... he was super friendly and it didn't cost us an arm and a leg!!! Praise God for nice people!!! They do exist... and the reside in McLean Texas!!! Thank you dearly for your kind and a outstanding service!!!!!
