Car City is absolutely amazing. From the first time walking in and talking to Kevin regarding the issue with my truck and what the best course of action should be; to then getting my truck to the shop and meeting Sam. Kevin remembered me to my surprise which speaks to their customer service. Sam was extremely friendly as well, very thorough in his explanation of what needed to be fixed and the pricing. My truck just a week before was in a different shop and I was told to replace my engine which wasn't the case at all. Car City found and fixed the actual issue. They were timely and a pleasure to deal with. I've definitely found my new automotive mechanic shop.

Car city is by far the smoothest, professional and good price mechanic shops in houston tx and that I’ve been in dealings with in years , same the front desk associate is very communicative, understanding, and helpful with any issues you may have , I haven’t seen or spoke to any of the mechanics much but I think that’s a plus because that means they’re actually doing their job and from my experience they’re top tier mechanics! I’d recommend this shop to anyone in need of the services they provide ! Also the restroom is spotless!
Kevin And Sam are great to work with and very helpful. I bring my car to car city all the time. Also Harold who they said fixed my car was quick. You know when you go into a car shop and they still haven't even looked at your car? That doesnt happen here. Thank you guys for everything you do.
Talked with Kevin about my ill F150. He suggested three things to check/try before needing his shop to repair.
First item he suggested-- fixed the problem.(My poor mechanic skills).

I called and got an appointment right away! When I got there Sam asked just a few questions and they took my car back. Sam kept me well informed about the issues going on with my vehicle; even took me back in the shop to show me exactly what he was talking about. I really appreciated that! My A/C took a crap a couple days ago. Trk was taken to a shop where they said it needed Freon and proceeded to charge the system . When the trk got back the air did not get cold but now it also began making a noice when the a/c was on. I knew I’d screwed up in trusting that shop to just charge the system. I would most definitely not be taking it back to them. Searching in my area I found Car City. I looked them up and seen very good reviews so I gave it a go and called. I spoke to Sam he said I could bring my trk in to get it looked at. I arrived at 1pm and dropped it off, by 3pm Sam called back with the diagnosis. Sure enough it was worse than just needing Freon. He gave me a breakdown of what needed to be replaced and the cost. Price was fair and agreed on going forward with the fix. The next day I got the call that my trk was ready. I picked it up and took it for a drive the a/c was finally blowing cold air like when it came out the dealership. Needless to say I think I found my new shop.
They addressed all of our concerns and clearly communicated with us throughout the entire diagnostic and repair process. Sam explained each charge in depth and was very professional. If we ever need another car repair in the future we will be returning to Car City. Their service was great!
Had a wonderful experience at Car City this past week...have used other local garages and dealerships in the area for years but wish I'd have found this place sooner. Sam and his team were outstanding and recommend them completely.

I have had two recent visits to Car City. The first was due to a problem another company caused. When I first arrived, they set an appointment for me for the next day. Since I was not sure if the car should be driven, I asked them if they would check it out for me. They were very willing to do so. During my appointment the next day, they were very gracious as I waited for the repairs to do completed. My second trip was just for an inspection, but again they treated me very graciously. I will continue to use them and I recommend them to everyone.
I recently moved to Dickinson and was in need of a good & honest mechanic shop. After calling a few places I then called Car City, they were very reasonable as far as pricing goes. They also took me home & picked me up when my truck was ready which was extremely helpful. They fixed the problem & my truck has been running perfect! My estimate was right on and far less than the dealership. The work time was right on too. They kept in contact with me. They fixed it right. They addressed a small issue with my wiper/water pump and didn’t charge me.
They were super friendly.

Sam and Kevin run one of the best shops I've ever been to.
I drive an older Land Cruiser which has been imported, and it's NOT your typical maintenance. Sam and Kevin have taken an extraordinary amount of time to get to know the vehicle, and make sure everything is up to their standards. My two rear window motors had stopped functioning, and they aren't easy to find the parts. Kevin understood the root cause and was actually able to free up the motors, saving me hundreds of dollars in parts.
If you're looking to be treated like a friend, and expect nothing but the best for your vehicle, just call and set up an appointment to bring your car or truck in. As long as I'm in the area, no other shop will touch my vehicles.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would hands down. Being a woman I was so afraid of being taken through the ringer with repair costs. With the unbearable heat, I researched several shops. Sam was very professional and listened to my thoughts on what was wrong and was very honest and upfront. My a/c was fixed in a day and I’m now rolling in nice air conditioner and repair was very reasonably priced. Also got my oil changed as well and they did a thorough run through of my car and me thinking I needed brakes, nope they are just fine. Thank you Car City Auto, you have gained a life long customer.
Great experience overall. Car had some unknown issues with the turn signals and after lots of troubleshooting/diagnosis, he was able to advise to take to the dealer for a warranty fix which will save me a lot of money. He was also nice enough not to charge a lot on the troubleshooting which took time and labor. Very knowledgeable, friendly and considerate. Definitely a good recommendation for your car troubles.

I was referred to Car City by someone a few years ago. I have several older model cars, so having a trustworthy, knowledgeable mechanic is very important to me. They are always quick to diagnose and contact me to explain the issue and give me an estimate (which is always reasonable), and they have always done great work. Just a note for the single women who might see this - these guys are honest and won’t talk over your head when explaining the problem.
