BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP'S FALSE ADVERTISING.
They listed a car for $21,978 on Autotrader and my wife and daughter drove an hour to League City to test drive and buy it. Of course they added normal TTL and doc fees... but then added thousands more in previously undisclosed hidden fees (for "nitro in tires, lojack, and prepping it for sale") and said they would not go lower than $27K. After advertising it for under $22K!!! Absolutely shady dealings. Would not trust them for a major purchase. BEWARE!!!Feb 10, 2026 -
My sales associate, Abdal Taha, was so nice and very easy to work with. He made the whole car buying experience pleasant! I also met the General Manager, Keith Ward. What a cool guy! He was very gracious and helpful to me. Buying at Clear Lake Honda turned an experience that I dreaded doing into something I enjoyed. I highly recommend them!

Terrible experience, this dealership doesn’t deserve any business, they have false advertising on line but once You go in person they don’t respect the price changing price and adding the “classic add on fees” ( more than 3k ) and stating that the employee that You deal on line doesn’t have the right to make a deal with customers…. Yes even when they have your online text history with theirs employee.Send a email to the “manager” he doesn’t respond your email, just a sarcastic email from them saying they have more vehicles for sale .

It was the biggest mistake of my life to drive over 50 miles to this Honda dealership in Clear Lake hoping to buy a dream car. I found a 2025 Honda CR-V $25,596 on CARFAX. It had only 7256 miles. I had been communicating with the internet manager Siarra for a few days before driving to this place.
I thought good deals can be found far away. When I arrived and spoke to a salesman, he said he can't find that car. Then, he went into the inventory and said there was no such vehicle. What? I drove over an hour and a half for nothing. He went on to sell me something more expensive. At that moment, I just wanted to leave. I couldn't believe I was in the trap of a switch and bait from a reputable company.
I no longer want a Honda. Please don't contact me. Forget it.Feb 08, 2026 -
I'm an old guy now and I've shopped at dealerships in several states for used and new cars. Honda of Clear Lake was, without a doubt, the best experience I've ever had, bar none. Pedro and Michael Sanchez were a delight to work with. We came to the dealership looking to replace our 2016 Honda Pilot which was declared a total loss after an accident. We settled on a new 2025 Honda Pilot Touring. Pedro and Michael were informative, cordial, and super responsive. There were ZERO surprises with the entire process. We decided on the vehicle and then returned a few days later to finalize things and pick up the vehicle. Once again, everything was just as described and the car was detailed and ready to go, even on a rainy day. I would highly recommend this great dealership and these two fine gentlemen. We will be back.

Do not purchase from Jeremy or work with Marvin in used cars. I would highly suggest finding a different dealership altogether. I came in to purchase my mini Cooper on January 2. Everything was fine. The car veered heavily to the right but thought nothing of it.
I went in the next Friday because my alignment that I was told was completed felt even more off as it continued veering right. And my break light bulb in the back rear went out. Went back in, and Jeremy said that him and the service team looked at it. The alignment was done and the lightbulb was replaced.
Fast forward to today I went to go replace that same tail light at The mini Cooper dealership and they said I have to replace my two tires in the front because there is no tread. My alignment is completely off and ruined my tires.
Now I’m having to replace two front tires that had perfect treading from the day I bought them and paying for an alignment.
If Jeremy and and Marvin put in as much effort as they do to being crooks as they did in being professionals, they’d be in a lot better shape.Jan 30, 2026 -
Took my daughter car shopping. We shopped at several dealerships but decided on this 2022 Honda Accord here at Clear Lake Honda. The salesman, Isaias Echezuria was very professional, respectful and courteous. After some tough negotiations we settled on a fair price. Financing was fairly quick and easy thanks to Hao Truong in Finance. Overall we had a good experience and would definitely recommend considering Clear Lake Honda for your next purchase.

I recently purchased a Honda Accord from Honda of Clear Lake, and the entire experience was outstanding—thanks in large part to my salesman, Michael Sanchez! From the moment I walked in, Michael was incredibly inviting, knowledgeable, and patient. He took the time to truly understand my needs and didn’t rush me through the process. He went above and beyond to ensure I felt confident that I was choosing the perfect car for me, answering every question thoroughly and making helpful recommendations without any pressure.
Michael’s genuine enthusiasm and dedication made what could have been a stressful purchase feel easy and enjoyable. If you’re in the market for a new or used Honda (especially around the Houston, League City, or Clear Lake area), I highly recommend asking for Michael Sanchez—you won’t be disappointed! This dealership and Michael made me feel like family, and I’m thrilled with my new Accord. 5 stars all the way!Jan 18, 2026 -
Generally good experience overall. Although the transparency on costs was lacking and could be improved. Got an email with a quote and discount and mentioned fees and taxes but did not mention the already required and added add-ons that were another $2k of costs. The salesman wasn't even fully sure what they all were. Therefore the original quote was not a fully complete and transparent quote and while I was able to make a deal, it soured the process a bit.

I had the best experience at Clearlake Honda! The service and the attention to detail was excellent! A big shout out to Pedro for completing the sale so quickly and Michael for showing me everything about my first Honda! It was worth the drive!

Names of individuals left off because I don’t want to insinuate blame for any one person. Rather my intent is to critique the philosophy of sales that this dealership has embraced.
Admittedly cross-shopping, but genuinely interested in a Passport Trailsport Elite. Walked into this dealership about 3 months ago and test drove one. My wife and I liked it, but at that time, the dealership was effectively offering nothing off MSRP. I received standard follow up voicemails a few times a week for a month, then about once a week after that. Then just two days ago, I received two calls and an email from the dealership and I knew they were ready to try and make a year-end deal. After a couple email exchanges and voicemails, had a tentative agreement on an out the door price with the understanding I would come in later that day to finalize the deal (hadn’t discussed trade-in yet).
On arrival, the agent I’d been communicating with was not immediately available, but he referred me to an associated of his who agreed to pull up his quote and work with me. Right off the bat, he told me the rebates that made up part of the quote I’d been offered were not available to me. And also, the car I was quoted had “just been sold” (eye roll). Ok, then “thank you for your time, we’ll be on our way,” I said, “BUT WAIT” the associated said, what about this car? (Same model, but naturally with more than 2k dollars of installed options). I might have found some, not all, value in the options, so I agreed to let him run some numbers.
His initial offer was nearly TWELVE THOUSAND off the equivalent offer from the original agent, so I said we were too far off and that a deal wouldn’t be possible. “BUT WAIT” the associated said, “let me see what I can do, what’s a number that will work for you?” I initialed and offered an acceptable OTD price (now with trade in value) and he came back later after getting an appraisal of my trade in and after speaking with the sales manager. The sales manager, now leading the negotiation, offered a number $3k off what I suggested would be acceptable. “Sorry, that’s not what I want,” I said, again ready to leave, but he insisted on continuing a conversation to understand why not. I’ll spare you the minutae of that conversation, but to sum up: the original sales agent quoted me a price the dealership couldn’t honor, on a car they didn’t have in stock. It’s a classic bait and switch just to get you in the door so the agent can use the standard suite of gimmicks and pressure tactics.
Trying to be non-confrontational and suggesting I may have misunderstood the quote I was offered (I had not), the sales manager admitted that advertised pricing and quotes need to be aggressive, because other dealerships do it, so it’s critical to getting a customer in the door. If you can read between those wide lines, he’s saying they’re intentionally disingenuous during initial negotiations as a tactic. The Jr. sales associated countered and tried to lay some blame at my feet by saying that I should be meeting them somewhere in the middle as part of a good faith negotiation, but what he was conveniently glossing over is that I had already negotiated a price with the original sales agent, and they were now asking me to re-negotiate a new price from a different starting point.
This is pretty par for the course, and I’m not sure you reader/buyer will have a better experience at another dealership. That’s possibly, disappointingly, the point. Inform yourself, know what you’re willing to pay (different than what you can pay), and stick to it. That will return power to the consumer.Jan 01, 2026 -
They told me the car, which had been involved in a very serious frontal accident, had only had a minor accident. The front of the car was literally detached and then re-welded. It's a 2018 Honda Odyssey with 88,000 miles. The Carfax report says "minor accident." I'm sure their mechanics knew the car had been in an accident as soon as they saw it. Maybe they fixed it. After that car, I looked at another Honda Odyssey for $19,000 , and the car was repainted on the left side, but the CarFax report was perfect..
Mothers who want to safely transport their children, who don't know to much about cars, will buy these wrecked vehicles. Honda Clear Lake should be ashamed of this.Dec 31, 2025 -
This dealership’s process is deeply misleading, and my experience was unacceptable from start to finish.
I was given a written, itemized out-the-door quote tied to a specific VIN and confirmed my appointment about 1.5 hours before arriving. At no point was I told the vehicle was unavailable. When I arrived, I was informed the vehicle had already been sold before I even confirmed the appointment, yet I was still encouraged to come in as if the deal were intact.
The salesperson I had been working with, Esteban, was suddenly “out picking something up” and unavailable when I arrived. Instead, I was handed off to another, much younger salesperson who spent a significant amount of time debating with me about how this was not the dealership’s fault, rather than acknowledging the situation or attempting to resolve it.
After going back and forth, I had to be the one to ask whether they intended to offer any solution at all. Only then was a transfer from a sister store suggested — which initially sounded reasonable — until I was told the price would be higher due to a “different cost basis.” At that point, it was clear the original VIN-based deal was no longer being honored, and I was effectively being asked to restart negotiations on worse terms after already being brought into the dealership.
This experience fits the textbook definition of a bait-and-switch: firm pricing is used to get a customer in the door, the vehicle conveniently disappears, and the deal is reset once the customer is already on site.
The entire interaction showed a lack of transparency, accountability, and respect for a customer’s time. I drove out fully prepared to purchase and left having wasted hours navigating excuses and shifting explanations.
Based on this experience, I would highly recommend not giving this dealership your business. If you value honesty, transparency, and execution, look elsewhere.Dec 30, 2025 -
Amazing experience — highly recommended!
We had a fantastic experience at Honda of Clear Lake. Our salesman, Isaias, was professional, knowledgeable, and truly attentive throughout the entire process. Kevin in finance was also wonderful to work with — transparent, efficient, and respectful of our time.
After visiting three different Toyota dealerships and having consistently frustrating experiences, this was a breath of fresh air. If you’re on the fence, do yourself a favor and skip Toyota — the lack of transparency and professionalism we encountered was exhausting.
Honda of Clear Lake was honest, straightforward, and stress-free. We’re absolutely thrilled with our new car and couldn’t be happier with how we were treated. You won’t regret coming here.Dec 23, 2025 -
If you’re looking for a fair and honest deal this is the place to be. Esteban Bravo helped my dad and I find our next vehicle. His service was awesome. He was patient, understanding, and informative through the process. Thank you all again. My dad loves his Honda Pilot.

We recently purchased a 2025 Honda CR-V,.....we Love it !!!
we had an outstanding experience with our salesman Pedro Sanchez. From the moment we walked in he was incredibly professional, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. He took the time to understand what we were looking for !..... special thanks to Kevin Truong and Raheel Azeez, they answered with a lot of patience all our questions related to the finance documents that were a little confusing for us, and made the entire car-buying process smooth and stress-free,
What stood out most was their expertise — It’s rare to find a team that is both knowledgeable and truly focused on customer satisfaction.
Highly recommend this dealership and their exceptional sales and Finance staff. If you’re looking for great service and a team that goes above and beyond, this is the place to go!Nov 21, 2025 -
Great staff, very low pressure sales experience. Everyone I worked with was very helpful. They shared information about products and services but it was much more of a “we also offer this if it’s something you may be interested in” never felt bombarded and didn’t get the ongoing let me go talk to my manager cycle. This is my first time buying a Honda and over all it’s been very pleasant.

Horrible experience. Found a vehicle online and asked if it was still availiable. Email I received confirmed it was but within the 45 minutes it took me to get there it sold. The salesman attempted to up sale me into a more expensive vehicle. I declined. The next day I recieved yet another email asking if I was still interested int the same vehicle I inquired about. I emailed back explaining the situation of it had already sold or was misunderstanding. My email was replied to that tit had sold but a smaller vehicle was available. A very typical bait and switch tactic to get people on the lot and in the doors to up sale and move vehicles in my opinion. Yall be the judge emails are in the photos

Wayne in service was fantastic. Got us into service quickly and provided not only great customer service, but his team got the work done quickly and efficiently and had our vehicle back to us with in one day.
Our issues were heard, addressed, and fixed without issue.
Thanks Wayne and the service crew!Nov 01, 2025 -
Nothing but positive experiences at this dealership. Jeremy was great to work with on our recent trade-in deal. Only thing holding me back from giving a 5 star rating is that the suv we purchased we were told that it was a high probability that the suv would get some, if not all, of the tires replaced. But unfortunately they weren’t. Or if they were replaced, they weren’t replaced with new tires. But overall 4/5

I recently purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Honda Fit from Honda of Clear Lake. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase and want to give a special thanks to Blanca and Asad for offering a great price and accommodating our needs. That said, I'd like to share a few insights for future CPO buyers.
If you are buying a Certified Pre-Owned Honda, I highly recommend you ask for the following before purchasing:
1. Vehicle History Report (such as Carfax).
2. Vehicle Inspection Checklist. If the vehicle has gone through the 112 or 182-point inspection, they must provide a checklist of all items that were inspected.
3. History of any repairs made during the certification process (the Service department can provide this).
4. Detailed warranty information.
Even with these documents, be prepared for some additional expenses soon after purchase. The certification program seems to ensure the car meets only the bare minimum requirements. For instance, our car passed certification with brake pads at 4mm, tires at 8/32", 7/32", 6/32", and 4/32", torn wiper blades, and a battery that required near-term replacement. The dealership did cover some of these items, but we still ended up spending close to $500 in the first month.
On a very positive note, I have a great impression of the Service department at Honda of Clear Lake. A special thanks to Ted Holt for listening to our needs, patiently answering all our questions, providing necessary information, and ensuring a smooth repair experience. I'd highly recommend asking for Ted for any service needs. This guy is amazing.Oct 27, 2025 -
On 10/9/25, I brought my car in because it was slowing down when I tried to accelerate. I’ve always gone to this dealership because I have their free oil change program and trusted them with my car. Big mistake. They didn’t even run a diagnostic until the next day, and instead of calling me, they sent a text at 8 PM on a Friday night with a video. No explanation, no phone call, nothing. I had already told them I’d be gone for a wedding that weekend, but apparently communication and basic courtesy don’t exist there.
Days went by. No updates Monday. No updates Tuesday. Finally, on Wednesday (10/15), I get a call saying the issue was my range switch. What they conveniently failed to mention? That my transmission dipstick was missing, the cap was off, and my transmission was leaking fluid everywhere, coating everything in oil. I’ve never had anyone else touch my car except Honda of Clear Lake, so the fact that those parts were missing is completely on them.
When I asked to speak with the manager, Eddie Guillory, I was told he couldn’t take my call because he had to go to Bible study. When I finally showed up in person on 10/16, Eddie couldn’t have been more arrogant, dismissive, or defensive. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, he actually tried to blame me. He said that because they recommended a CVT flush back in August, somehow I was at fault. He completely ignored the fact that my transmission was literally left open and exposed.
Then, to add insult to injury, he charged me a diagnostic fee after I was promised it would be waived if I accepted a service. The service he pushed? A $658 range switch replacement, which I now know wasn’t even necessary.
I had my car towed to Austin’s Garage in Kemah, and within 24 hours they found the truth: my range switch wasn’t broken at all, it was just covered in transmission fluid because Honda of Clear Lake left my system open. Austin replaced the missing dipstick and cap, flushed the CVT, and fixed everything for $200 total.
Eddie Guillory should be ashamed of himself. He’s the embodiment of everything wrong with car dealerships money-hungry, careless, and completely devoid of accountability or integrity. The fact that someone like him manages a service center is honestly terrifying.
I would rather pay $80 for an oil change anywhere else than risk another “free” one from a place this negligent. Honda of Clear Lake lost a decade-long loyal customer because of one greedy, dishonest manager.Oct 18, 2025 -
Excellent swift service at this location.. the team is kind & professional. Any recent recommendated maintainance, is explained to me clear & precise. This group is honest about everything, since day one I walked into this shop. I have full confidence, this Honda of Clearlake, will always look out for my needs when it comes to my Honda Accord Sport. I like the video the mechanic made & sent me, giving me a full update. That's going above & beyond!

Wayne was so nice and knowledgeable. I took my Honda Pilot in because I thought it had a sensor out. He was thorough, and checked everything. It wasn't a sensor but an electrical issue and needed some other things replaced as well. I had him call my son (a mechanic for 30+ yrs), and my son agreed. Wayne also checked for any recalls and changed out those additional items. He stayed in touch with me and my son the entire time they were working on my suv. I would highly recommend Clear Lake Honda for your repairs and service, and be sure to ask for Wayne. He is wonderful and won't try to take advantage of you.

Have bought several vehicles at this dealership over the years, most recently a lease on a 25 Prologue. Excellent customer service and appreciate how hard they worked to make the deal happen. Transparent and honest dealing with no games. Great experience with this vehicle, as with the other 3 I've bought there. Client Specialist Michael Sanchez and the whole team were great!

I had a phenomenal car buying experience! From the moment I walked in. Pete and Michael were inviting and welcoming. They answered every question and though I was worried about getting into the right fit for me they blew my expectations and had every detail I wanted and I am so happy in my 2026 Hybrid CRV!! Exact color and finishes I wanted. Thank you both for being the absolute best. I’ll def recommend all my friends to you! Michael was very patient and walked in the heat with me to find the color I wanted! So amazing Also spending 20 years in hospitality it’s great to see wonderful and natural customer service!!

I have bought a number of cars and trucks over the years. Sometimes the experience is painful, sometimes good, and rarely a pleasure. Well pleased to say that my experience with Honda of Clear Lake was wonderful. I highly recommend our sales rep Lijo. Proper negotiation was still required but the interaction was straightforward. Can't recall the name of the guy in Finance but he was great to work with as well. When searching dealers, I have to say I was put off by the low Yelp reviews. However, the "out the door" deal that Honda of Clear Lake offered me via email got my attention. I arrived on site fully expecting the typical bait and switch nonsense that you find at so many dealers. Higher price once you get there due to add-ons, or "that one already sold, or "Oh, that was an error in our ad" etc. Well pleased that I found none of that here. All on the up and up. From my experience dealing with them, I can easily recommend that you give them a shot if you are in the market.

Imagine you go to buy a Certified Pre Owned car listed as 26.9k$ but they add 1.8k$ to certify and 1.4k$ to complete pre-sale inspection. Even, the brand new one was 30k$. Who would buy a car with scratches over bumper and 3.600 miles even for a higher price than the brand new? Sell for what you show or show the real sale price! Time is priceless and we are not coming to see your dealer gimmicks! Ahh I almost forgot, the car was supposed to have 2.3k miles according to the website!

I can't say enough great things about my experience at Honda of Clear Lake From the moment I walked in, the team treated me with genuine respect, professionalism, and care.
My sales representative Jeremy went above and beyond to help me, he took the time to answer all my questions and make sure the buying process was smooth. The finance manager Kevin made sure I understood everything I signed, all of the warranty information and was very professional. The entire buying process from the test drive to the final paperwork was smooth, transparent, and stress-free. I absolutely love my new Honda and will definitely be coming back for future purchases and service. I highly recommend!Jul 02, 2025
