I recently purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Honda Fit from Honda of Clear Lake. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase and want to give a special thanks to Blanca and Asad for offering a great price and accommodating our needs. That said, I'd like to share a few insights for future CPO buyers. If you are buying a Certified Pre-Owned Honda, I highly recommend you ask for the following before purchasing: 1. Vehicle History Report (such as Carfax). 2. Vehicle Inspection Checklist. If the vehicle has gone through the 112 or 182-point inspection, they must provide a checklist of all items that were inspected. 3. History of any repairs made during the certification process (the Service department can provide this). 4. Detailed warranty information. Even with these documents, be prepared for some additional expenses soon after purchase. The certification program seems to ensure the car meets only the bare minimum requirements. For instance, our car passed certification with brake pads at 4mm, tires at 8/32", 7/32", 6/32", and 4/32", torn wiper blades, and a battery that required near-term replacement. The dealership did cover some of these items, but we still ended up spending close to $500 in the first month. On a very positive note, I have a great impression of the Service department at Honda of Clear Lake. A special thanks to Ted Holt for listening to our needs, patiently answering all our questions, providing necessary information, and ensuring a smooth repair experience. I'd highly recommend asking for Ted for any service needs. This guy is amazing.

On 10/9/25, I brought my car in because it was slowing down when I tried to accelerate. I’ve always gone to this dealership because I have their free oil change program and trusted them with my car. Big mistake. They didn’t even run a diagnostic until the next day, and instead of calling me, they sent a text at 8 PM on a Friday night with a video. No explanation, no phone call, nothing. I had already told them I’d be gone for a wedding that weekend, but apparently communication and basic courtesy don’t exist there. Days went by. No updates Monday. No updates Tuesday. Finally, on Wednesday (10/15), I get a call saying the issue was my range switch. What they conveniently failed to mention? That my transmission dipstick was missing, the cap was off, and my transmission was leaking fluid everywhere, coating everything in oil. I’ve never had anyone else touch my car except Honda of Clear Lake, so the fact that those parts were missing is completely on them. When I asked to speak with the manager, Eddie Guillory, I was told he couldn’t take my call because he had to go to Bible study. When I finally showed up in person on 10/16, Eddie couldn’t have been more arrogant, dismissive, or defensive. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, he actually tried to blame me. He said that because they recommended a CVT flush back in August, somehow I was at fault. He completely ignored the fact that my transmission was literally left open and exposed. Then, to add insult to injury, he charged me a diagnostic fee after I was promised it would be waived if I accepted a service. The service he pushed? A $658 range switch replacement, which I now know wasn’t even necessary. I had my car towed to Austin’s Garage in Kemah, and within 24 hours they found the truth: my range switch wasn’t broken at all, it was just covered in transmission fluid because Honda of Clear Lake left my system open. Austin replaced the missing dipstick and cap, flushed the CVT, and fixed everything for $200 total. Eddie Guillory should be ashamed of himself. He’s the embodiment of everything wrong with car dealerships money-hungry, careless, and completely devoid of accountability or integrity. The fact that someone like him manages a service center is honestly terrifying. I would rather pay $80 for an oil change anywhere else than risk another “free” one from a place this negligent. Honda of Clear Lake lost a decade-long loyal customer because of one greedy, dishonest manager.

We brought our car in to be diagnosed because of a piston ring issue that my car keeps having. Honda offered an extended warranty because of this issue, so I had to bring it to a Honda dealer. They charge $200 for diagnostics. They found a minor oil leak. We asked them if they would look at the piston rings and spark plugs because the symptoms that we were having with our van have been related to those repairs in the past. They said they'd have to charge another $200 because they already diagnosed the car. Unbelievable. To charge that much to look at the car is expensive, but then to refuse to look at our concern unless we pay them again is just deceptive and wrong. We also dropped the car off on Monday and they didn't get back to us until Thursday! Picked up my car. Total was $221.89. $22.89 in Misc fees?? My invoice said they drive it one mile. My dashboard says they drive it 14 miles! I didn't have much gas when I dropped it off, but enough to get home. So when I picked it up, the tank was on empty. I tried to call, but of course it rang and rang and then the cell disconnected. So I turned around and drove back (with what little gas I had) and asked them why they had to drive so far in my car. The clerk was like, "well, how do I know they drove 14 miles?" I explained to him that I looked at the odometer and compared it to the invoice. He said "sorry" and that was it. Also- when I went to make the appointment it was offered online (which I had to do online because I called twice and left messages for someone to call me back and they never did) that if I made it between 3 and 6 PM I would get $20 off. It was a bit inconvenient to drop off my car at 3:00, but I did it anyway for the discount. When I picked it up, of course they wouldn't honor it because I didn't have any actual work done. That is not completely unreasonable, but when I booked the appointment the discount did not clarify that. So I just feel like I paid a bunch of money for them to mess around with my car, and not address my concerns. Terrible service.

Do not take your car here for service!!! I recently brought my vehicle in for repairs, expecting a standard level of service and support. I picked up my car and immediately went to the gas station as I was pumping gas and it started spilling out of the car. It almost caused a fire and now my car is unsafe to turn on. I called the dealership and I was told that they were closed and they were unable to help me and I would be without a car for two days. There was zero effort to help me with my situation. Professionalism includes not only the ability to perform quality repairs, but also to provide seamless support when things don’t go as planned. In this case, both fell short. I hope this feedback people not to come here at all and fall for misleading things they say for “recommending “ to fix if it’s not going to be done properly or even at all. After all that I was outside hearing the sales people laughing about the situation cause they did not want to try help me.

Asad was so kind and great. I had an issue with a vehicle I had recently purchased and he not only gave me the help I needed, he made me feel better about the situation and sent me home with a smile on my face. I genuinely appreciate him as well as his time and help. He related to me as a customer which is extremely important to me. Thank you so much Asad.

I am extremely disappointed with the service at this location. My brother was told it would take 10–15 minutes for a technician to speak with him. Instead, he waited over an hour with no update. The employee who promised help left for the day without ever telling a technician. Nobody followed up, and my brother had to go find someone himself. This was a complete waste of time and showed a lack of communication and professionalism. Customers’ time should be respected, and basic follow-through should not be too much to ask.

Excellent swift service at this location.. the team is kind & professional. Any recent recommendated maintainance, is explained to me clear & precise. This group is honest about everything, since day one I walked into this shop. I have full confidence, this Honda of Clearlake, will always look out for my needs when it comes to my Honda Accord Sport. I like the video the mechanic made & sent me, giving me a full update. That's going above & beyond!

I found a car on line a Hyundai Elantra I wanted. Called and spoke to a Siarra. Asked about the car said it was available.gave me the specs and everything. Told me car was available. I told her I live on 59 so I would have to get someone to bring me. We text I asked are you available on sundays unfortunately they are closed. I canceled the plan I had Saturday night 9/27/2025 to go see the car. Rode over 30 miles just to get there and for the sales lady which was not Sierra(internet manager), was Blanca to tell me the car was sold this morning. I said I just spoke to this lady at 2:08pm on 9/27. If the car was sold why didn't she say that. Blanca(salesperson)asked do I wanna see another one. I said yes, she said that car was sold this morning also. Asked do I wanna see another one. I said no and left. Came back to talk to the manager Rupert to ask why the car is still online if it was sold this morning. He states it won't be removed until the whole process of finished. I said sir the car is sold isn't that the whole process? Everything done. He basically couldn't give me a clear answer. I am very disappointed, drove that far just to hear that! I had finally had decided on a car and was excited to go see this car and test drive it. As I am writing this at 5:17am 9/28 car is still online the website as available. I will be reporting this to my credit union also. I don't like dealerships as it is because they try to upsell everything and have you to get something you don't want. Very frustrating!! Very irritating!!Very disappointing!! Also found out Sierra who I spoke with is just an internet manager. She wasn't even there but told me to ask for her or someone name Aziz. I don't believe he was there neither. What kind of shenanigans is going on. Are they car baiting on the internet to get people to come and look at other inventory!!??

Had the absolute worst experience at Honda of Clear Lake. After a week of back and forth on the price of the used vehicle I wanted to buy they finally came to a deal if I financed through them. I was told they would meet or beat the interest rate I had which was a 5.49. I agreed. Once in the financing office I was told the best they could do was a 5.69 to which I agreed. After denying all the aftermarket warranties Kevin the finance manger left the office and came back to say 6.09 is the best they could offer. I walked away from the sale but the entire day was wasted. Avoid this dealership.

I would have give -1 star if possible, I went to Honda of Clearlake to look at a Pilot Trailsport. The salesman, Chris, was excellent—very helpful, patient, and clear when explaining everything. Unfortunately, the price ended up being out of our budget, so we told him we’d back out for now and maybe come back later. That’s when the manager stepped in, and the experience turned awful. He was extremely rude, saying Honda was the only brand with resale value. I explained that my concern wasn’t resale—it was the monthly payment. For just a little more, I could get a fully loaded Nissan Armada or Toyota Grand Highlander. He became furious, accused me of not being serious about buying, crushed the paperwork in his hand, and stormed off. I honestly hope someone higher up reads this and trains that manager on how to do his job and treat customers with respect. I don’t remember his name, but he was a big, tall, older white man. I’ve never had such an unprofessional experience at a dealership before, and I will not be going back.

Wayne was so nice and knowledgeable. I took my Honda Pilot in because I thought it had a sensor out. He was thorough, and checked everything. It wasn't a sensor but an electrical issue and needed some other things replaced as well. I had him call my son (a mechanic for 30+ yrs), and my son agreed. Wayne also checked for any recalls and changed out those additional items. He stayed in touch with me and my son the entire time they were working on my suv. I would highly recommend Clear Lake Honda for your repairs and service, and be sure to ask for Wayne. He is wonderful and won't try to take advantage of you.

Have bought several vehicles at this dealership over the years, most recently a lease on a 25 Prologue. Excellent customer service and appreciate how hard they worked to make the deal happen. Transparent and honest dealing with no games. Great experience with this vehicle, as with the other 3 I've bought there. Client Specialist Michael Sanchez and the whole team were great!

Carlos Sandoval was very professional and helpful. They got me a loaner car while my Honda was serviced for a safety recall. The repair was done quickly. It was a positive experience.

I had a phenomenal car buying experience! From the moment I walked in. Pete and Michael were inviting and welcoming. They answered every question and though I was worried about getting into the right fit for me they blew my expectations and had every detail I wanted and I am so happy in my 2026 Hybrid CRV!! Exact color and finishes I wanted. Thank you both for being the absolute best. I’ll def recommend all my friends to you! Michael was very patient and walked in the heat with me to find the color I wanted! So amazing Also spending 20 years in hospitality it’s great to see wonderful and natural customer service!!

Jeremy was the most straight talk salesman that I’ve ever dealt with. He was very professional. The finance manager, Kevin was very thorough and listened well to my choices. Good personality and easy to talk to.

The service and the service team are great. My only complaint is the up-sale process when purchasing a vehicle. We bought a CRV for our daughter for college. I wanted a comprehensive warranty for the vehicle, but the process seemed to be a back and forth process of give and take. End result was us having to select and combine several different small packages, which resulted in me paying an amount that was equal to a substantial percentage of what we paid for the vehicle. The process was stressful and I wasn’t really happy with the final result.

I purchased a used Wagoneer from them. Car was in goos condition, purchasing process was smooth and also they kept their promise about the required maintenance. (Its AC needed some coolant gas and there was a misplaced button) On the other hand, sales person Esteban’s friendly behavior changed dramatically after I bought the car and signed the papers. I contacted him and told him several times over the email I would come from Sugar Land, it’s 1 hour distance, so please schedule the service for the maintenance at the same time with the payment check, and when I come there to bring the check let’s finish both process. I told him I can even come at 7 am if it will be easier for them to schedule and he said okay. For this reason, next day I left home at 6 am but when I arrived there, he was not there, and the service didn't have any work order for me. Someone told me that sales people arrived at 9 am but he would come at noon for that day. I called him several times, he finally responded and yelled at me and told he was sleeping. I told him if he was not going to schedule somerhing, why he told me to come very early. I could also sleep and come later. Anyway, after waiting 1.5 hours there by doing nothing, other sales people came to office and fortunately Rupert remembered me and handled everything for me. I really appreciate Rupert’s close attention to all details and handling everything in person and fast process. He patiently explained all the payment, loan, and title processes and showed me what and how they fixed. If Rupert was not there that day, i would give 1 star for my experience on that morning, but he saved the day for Honda of Clear Lake and I am deleting only one star from them. All their employees must have the same work ethic, and respect as Rupert has.

Was a rollercoaster of a purchase. Ups and downs. We purchased a used Chevy Traverse back in May. The sales process was amazing, rather quick and easy. However after the first day things kind of took a turn for bad when the car needed repairs before pickup and trying to get ahold of anyone for updates on when we could get the car was very difficult. So points off for that. After we were able to pick up the car a little over a week later, we find out some of the repairs hadn't been completed and we needed to bring the car back again to address those. After that, things seemed to be ok until the car alerted us that there was no oil in it. We took it into the service department to have them diagnose the car as we hadn't even owned it a month yet. The car was there for 2 weeks. They were unable to find an issue and changed the oil with the intent of keeping an eye o it to see if the problem persists. The service department was pretty good at communicating with us on the status. The sales department agreed to help out with the costs incurred with a rental car for the 2 weeks they had the car so they are redeeming themselves but to have this many issues before even making the first payment on a newly purchased car is a bit unsettling. I'm sure purchasing a used Chevy at a Honda store plays a factor. We purchased their oil change for life program so hopefully things will go smoother moving forward.

I have bought a number of cars and trucks over the years. Sometimes the experience is painful, sometimes good, and rarely a pleasure. Well pleased to say that my experience with Honda of Clear Lake was wonderful. I highly recommend our sales rep Lijo. Proper negotiation was still required but the interaction was straightforward. Can't recall the name of the guy in Finance but he was great to work with as well. When searching dealers, I have to say I was put off by the low Yelp reviews. However, the "out the door" deal that Honda of Clear Lake offered me via email got my attention. I arrived on site fully expecting the typical bait and switch nonsense that you find at so many dealers. Higher price once you get there due to add-ons, or "that one already sold, or "Oh, that was an error in our ad" etc. Well pleased that I found none of that here. All on the up and up. From my experience dealing with them, I can easily recommend that you give them a shot if you are in the market.

My sales associate, Abdal Taha, was so nice and very easy to work with. He made the whole car buying experience pleasant! I also met the General Manager, Keith Ward. What a cool guy! He was very gracious and helpful to me. Buying at Clear Lake Honda turned an experience that I dreaded doing into something I enjoyed. I highly recommend them!

I have purchased several vehicles from this dealership and they have always treated me very well. Most recently, in June of 2025. I believe that they were fair and honest and never pressured me at any time, which I really appreciate. In particular Steve did a great job, but the whole team were friendly and helpful.

I had a fantastic experience at Honda Clear Lake and want to thank the entire team for their excellent service. From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism, transparency, and genuine care for the customer. My service advisor was knowledgeable and patient, explaining the recommended services and answering all of my questions without any pressure. They kept me informed with timely updates and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The technicians clearly did a great job — my car drives better than ever, and the service was completed quicker than expected. What stood out to me most was the attention to detail and the friendly atmosphere. The waiting lounge was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with complimentary drinks, Wi-Fi, and plenty of space to relax or get some work done. I also appreciated the complimentary car wash — it was a nice touch that made me feel valued as a customer. It’s rare to find a dealership that delivers both high-quality service and warm, honest customer interaction, but Honda Clear Lake really does. I will absolutely return for future maintenance and recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy service center. Five stars all the way!

Initially, I was quoted $13,000 to repair my 2013 Honda Pilot due to multiple oil leaks in the engine. I inquired with Eddie, the service manager, about the possibility of a rebuilt engine as a cost-cutting measure. He informed me that this option would resolve the leaks, and consequently, my estimate was reduced to $7,166. I received a list of parts to purchase and proceeded to acquire them. Additionally, they were ordering parts exclusive to Honda. I get a call the part doesn’t fit. I was frustrated Eddie raised his voice, stating, 'You purchased the wrong part.' He placed the blame on me, but I redirected him to his email, which contained the part list he had sent me. Eventually, Eddie informed me that he was bringing my car back, but then he called to say that my car was making a noise, the belt needed to be replaced. After receiving the car, for the 2nd time, the engine light illuminated within hours. They took the car back and had to order additional parts for further repairs. When I got the car back again, I noticed something was wrong with the steering wheel. I sent Eddie a video, and I have the email where he mentioned he thought the issue was normal, indicating he was not familiar with my vehicle and assumed it was in that condition. It is important to note that part of the repair included a new steering column, the entire kit. Eddie said my wheel was put on crooked. They had my car for nearly a month, and I spent almost $1,300 on rentals. Ultimately, I wrote an email requesting information to file a complaint, but I decided to move on instead. This month, my alternator tested faulty. I took it to another repair shop and discovered that my spool valve had never been replaced as I had been informed. The leak from my spool valve had damaged my alternator, leading to its failure. This was included in my initial estimate. I opted for the rebuilt engine, and Eddie assured me it would come with a new engine, as my receipt states, 'the spool valve was coming with the engine.' I was also informed that they installed used parts on my vehicle, as the belt was old. The most frustrating part is that they charged me for a rebuilt engine (as indicated on my receipt) but installed a used engine instead. The receipt shows $5,694 for the rebuild engine. I am at a loss of words. I brought all this up to general management, who confirmed the engine didn’t come w a spool valve they used the old and tried to seal it w silicon. And they never told me. SMH I file a formal complaint and have requested all my money back and the customer if he new repair. Do Not Service Your Car Here! Eddie should not be a service center manager in my opinion. I will continue my efforts u til justice is served.

I can't say enough great things about my experience at Honda of Clear Lake From the moment I walked in, the team treated me with genuine respect, professionalism, and care. My sales representative Jeremy went above and beyond to help me, he took the time to answer all my questions and make sure the buying process was smooth. The finance manager Kevin made sure I understood everything I signed, all of the warranty information and was very professional. The entire buying process from the test drive to the final paperwork was smooth, transparent, and stress-free. I absolutely love my new Honda and will definitely be coming back for future purchases and service. I highly recommend!

Friendly, and highly accommodating sales people. Steve is a great salesperson. He is very knowledgeable, informative, and he is also very customer oriented. I also had no issues with the finance department. Kevin, in finance, got me the most competitive rate and they were willing to negotiate the cost of the vehicle. Thanks Honda of Clear Lake.

We got our 2024 Honda CRV Sport Touring Hybrid here. One of the easiest new vehicle buying experiences Ive had. From the sales managers, sales rep to the finance manager, all top notch customer service! Update: Our lease was up on our 2022 Honda Odyssey EXL. Went in to purchase it since we were content but ended up trading up to a 2025 Honda Odyssey Elite. Sales Manager Anthony is as professional as they get. He helped us navigate another dealers offer and retained us as Honda of Clear Lake customers. Second new Honda in less than a year we have bought dealing with Anthony. Thanks Anthony!!!

I didn’t have a bad experience.. but I did purchase a Honda Care plan for 6 years/100k warranty. After research I realized that’s an outrages price to pay. I got a 8 yr 120k warranty for $2,740 cheaper from another Honda dealership. Of course their add ons like nitro fill add $300 and $500 for window tint on 2 windows is crazy but standard for most dealerships. Not sure if this is how Honda financial does business but without adding a warranty I was offered a 6% rate instead of the special being offered by Honda at 1.9% to 3.9% depending on how long I financed for a new Odyssey. Overall, in the end I kind of felt like I was taken advantage of. Forced to get a high priced warranty for a lower interest rate.. Do your research and don’t get add ons you don’t want or pay for a warranty that’s 3X the cost somewhere else. Staff was nice, dealership is clean. 2 stars off is based on warranty prices and having to buy a warranty if you want a lower interest rate.

On Friday, January 17th, I made an appointment through website, for Monday 20th, 7.30am. I came Monday and they couldn't find my appointment. It's very bad that you have some troubles with making online appointments. I gave my car and worker said it will take 1-1.5 hours. But my car stayed outside till near 9.30. Finally I got it at 10.15. It was just regular oil change and rotate wheels. When I got keys, I walked around my car because last time when you made some warranty work, you scratched my car. I realized that there's 1 tire cap missing on the wheel. I went inside 1 on that boxes where you did your work and said to man where is my cap. He went and found it. I took my car and drove home. After 1 mile I got tmps message that tires are low. My car is 20.000 miles and I always take care of everything. I checked pressureevery 2 weeks from since I bought this car new and never got this message. I drove ho.e, took tire pressure checker and found that you made something like 1.4 bar 1.5 bar 1.7 bar 2.5 bar In my tires!!! So I am pretty sure your workers were drunk or something like this. They rotated my tires and changed pressure to incredible. On car it's written it should be 2.4 on front tires 2.2 on near. Very, very bad service. So I even worry to think about how you did other my work with changing oil. Same as tire work?
