While I won’t go into full detail about the situation, I had approached an accident scene to check on a family member and make sure they were okay. As I was walking up, a man with tattoos came toward me and made an extremely vulgar and disrespectful comment about my mother, then laughed in my face. At first, I assumed he was someone involved in the accident, but I later found out he was actually an employee of this company.
I strongly urge management to look into the behavior of the individuals they hire. His conduct was completely unprofessional, inappropriate, and deeply disrespectful. Even after being told by police to leave, he remained at the scene, continuing to glare at me and laugh with another worker from the same company.
Wouldn't give my apartment more stickers for parking. Tows to a whole other yard opposite direction of them. Tows due to sticker being expired which they never informed me of receiving more. Charged 350 dollars for less then an hour. PREDATORY TOW YARD! REPORT!
Poor customer service... Will steal your car at 2am even if you have a stickers on your car saying that you're a resident. No accessibility at the impounded as well.
I would give 0 stars if I could. They came and hooked up to my car without notice while I already had another wrecker company on the way to pick my car up. I was forcefully coerced into paying Action to tow my car instead. Terrible company and I hope all the people involved with it suffer.
I recently had my car towed by Action Towing after an auto accident that was not my fault. I called and spoke with them 4-5 times and each time they were extremely kind and helpful. They even gave me advice on how these things normally process through insurance so I knew when the adjustor wasn't doing what he should.
If I could give 0 stars, then I would. My dad got into a car accident and his car air bag went off. The car was totaled and the other driver was at fault. Larry, the tow truck driver, was nice at first until I told him I wanted my car towed home. He kept trying to convince me to tow it to his pound but I kept refusing due to the fees that would incur if I kept it there. At this point, I could tell he was annoyed. I have been in these situations before and know how towing companies operate. When I kept repeating to him that I want my car towed to be towed home, he said “Fine, that will be $220 cash.” I replied thats fine. Luckily that day I had enough cash in my pocket. I could tell he was surprised because he didn’t expect for me to have cash on hand. When he towed it to my house, I asked him if he could tow it front of my house on the street. He said yes and did it. Then I asked him if he could move it slightly backwards (not even like half a feet) because I share the parking space with my neighbor. He said “To move it again, I would have to charge extra.” I didn’t even bother replying back to him because he already got into his car and drove off. Money hungry people. Never ever recommend this towing company to anyone. Go to a different towing company please.
I usually reserve my reviews for positive experiences only but after last night tornado/storm I can’t not mention how un American and schemie this company is.
Imagine towing cars people parked away from trees that were obviously going to fall on them. I understand that “ thats how we work” and you are entitled to operate that way but just know thats some low moral type beat.

This company was easy to reach and schedule pick up with when our car was towed. They even under quoted me on the phone, and then honored the lower price when I arrived without me asking them to, which I felt was very honest.
They illegally towed my vehicle from the apartment complex I live in. I was in the process of moving in. Late night of moving in, woke up the next morning to go to work and my vehicle was gone. They made the decision on their own to tow my vehicle. The apartment complex did not call them to have it towed. That is stealing.
I called this towing company twice because a rented f150 was parked in an illegal parking space at the apartment where i live. They never came to pick it up. They were called the first time this past Saturday morning at 10:30 am. Lousy company. They all must be getting drunk instead of doing their jobs
Illegally Towed car, I read the company the International Fire code and let them know that they illegally towed my vehicle and their response was “well.. let’s see, I could tow it for…” at which point I cut him off and ended that conversation. I believe this is also the reason why Friendswood PD has different paper work…. When we picked up our vehicle, they gave us a receipt for $317 that we paid, and then when I asked for the paper receipt, it said that the vehicle was towed “for fire lane” and the amount on there was $272 after taxes… (the next day after our conversation about the legality of the tow.” Friendswood PD was sent a report that the car was repossessed(fully owned) after I had advised them that it was an illegal tow because the fire lane did not reach international fire code (same code Texas recognizes) standards. Texas fire code 503.3 (international fire code). Also the lanes were not up to standard even to Friendswood Fire Department website. As a tow truck driver, you have a responsibility to know if you are legally towing a vehicle or not, otherwise the tow truck company is not only in the wrong but have committed a crime, just under the ruse of an LLC. Our HOA no longer allows them here, and they also gave me the name of the person that called them and pointed my vehicle out.. it happened to be a neighbor that we thought we were on good terms with. Christopher Million was the overnight supervisor that towed my vehicle and he told me that “it was a sketchy tow.” Yet towed it anyway. He’s worked with the company for 7 years 6 months. I was told 15 years… but I digress. This company should not be allowed to operate in the state of Texas or frankly anywhere at all. They lie, change paper work, call the police liars and do not know the laws on tows.
Very unhelpful, took multiple times to even get ahold of them to find out if they even had the truck we were looking for.
When we showed up they said we needed to give an hour notice that we were coming to get the truck. Not once while I was on the phone with the lady did she give me any information about needed to give notice, all that was explained was that we needed an Identification of some type. They need to work on customer service and explaining how the process works better.
Super service! I broke down on I-45. He arrived so fast. I initially called 911 for help and they were no help. Action arrived, reasonable cost and great service. I would use them again for sure.
Guy was getting on I-10 westbound from the Federal rd on ramp in front of Pappasitos. Tried to push his way on, but I was in a vehicle he couldn't intimidate. So, he cuts across traffic behind me, comes up to the drivers side of my vehicle, rolls down his passenger window and throws a bottle of water towards my vehicle. Thankfully he missed. Be glad I didn't get his license plate, I would be filing charges.
Our car stalled on the freeway in a dangerous spot. Called insurance, called the cops and nobody arrived to help. Chris pulled up to help us out. 2 kids, 2 seniors in the car all able to get home safely thanks to Chris. Great service and good guy all around.
The lady who answered the phone was extremely nice and helpful. We called last minute because a 4.7 star company bailed on us and almost made us miss our appointment to have my wife’s car fixed. The driver was extremely nice and helpful. They even came last minute for us, took great care of the car. I’d recommend them and use them again when in need.
Most of y'all are so dramatic they are a tow company of course they towed your car, it's their job. If you follow the rules or didn't park in a fire lane or handicap you wouldnt have to pay for your car. So next time you are visiting a friend's apt ask where to park. Of course I hated having to go pay for my car but that's my own fact not theirs.
The service was bad I was told that I could get my car released because there was a misunderstanding between me and the apartments where I stayed at so my apartment manager told me to ask for Sean when I went there and asked for Sean the ladies in there who really wanted the money so bad denied me to talk to Sean so that I can get my car released free of charge so I ended up paying the fee although I was supposed to get my vehicle back free they money hungry so watch your vehicles people, I feel sorry for him really and truly cuz if they had been a little bit more nicer they probably would have a booming business but greed have have them desperately taking advantage of people. The decision was made by the people who hired them, and they denied the request although management that hired them assured me that this was a mistake.... your reply means nothing when you don't keep your word which is supposed to mean everything.
Had my truck towed. The tow truck driver stamped on my brake so hard he broke the Spring and bent the bracket now it won't release I have tried to talk to the company and they will not admit fault the repair bill is $430 to replace assembly. do not use this company
So the bad part, my brother's bike was towed. The good news, someone tried to steal it, and failed, then left it in the road. So we still have it! He still had to pay $416 but they were so nice! Very professional about us paying. The thieves damaged the wiring harness trying to hot wire and they came to help us with splicing and offered tools along with a helping hand. I get it if you're mad your stuff was towed, but they are very nice and will be nice to you if you aren't mean to them.
Whoever was driving this particular truck on 4/20 down 45 going north around 14:20 is proof that drivers licenses should be retested for every few years. This driver cut multiple people off going 60mph+, nearly caused 4 accidents by either rear ending or sideswiping others, and veered into multiple lanes either on accident or straight ignorance. Why trust these guys with other peoples vehicles if they have no regard for others on the road? This isn’t even the first time an Action Towing wrecker has been seen driving like they’re blind.
If I could give them zero stars I would. They towed my daughter's car from an apartment complex and totaled her car. They damaged it so bad during the tow that all the oil leaked out of her car and the car locked up during the drive home. Will be calling the BBB and media outlets about this. We are not the only ones this has happened to. Other folks from the apartment complex have experienced similiar issues. DO NOT USE!
Very disappointed in this company who reports they make regular passes through my apartment complex and have the authority to tow vehicles illegally parked. I understand and appreciate that. I have a handicap placard, originally issued to me in December 2014. I have an issue with people parking in a handicap spot illegally. I have parked in one of two side by side handicapped spaces since 2014. It seems to me if a tow truck driver makes regular passes through same parking lot the driver would be alert enough to recognize the same vehicle night after night. As per guidelines I do not place the placard on the rearview mirror until I park due to it blocking driver view when in motion. So there is apparently non-aware drivers working for this company and absolutely no leeway for a legally parked driver to possibly forget to hang the placard because my car was towed in the middle of the night after I had retired; I had assessed my vehicle at 1130pm and it was secure in its regular spot. I believe this is irresponsible on part of this company & question if they are just preying for an opportunity to make a dollar at the expense of a driver who may be legally approved to park there yet forgotten to place placard in view. Their photos do not show a view of my placard in the visor which I can see if I lean down and look for it. Again, watch out for this company and God forbid you are human like me and forget to place the placard. There is absolutely NO DOUBT in my mind if I made "regular passes" by this parking spot I would recognize same vehicles in the space. Shame on you Action Towing and Scott Cunningham with all your legal documents in place to prove you were in the right. You may have been in the right but ethically your company is of poor quality. I hope my $283.00 served you well.
I needed a tow to the car dealership because the key wouldn't go into the ignition (unable to start, unable to put in neutral). Called two other companies, one said the service drive is locked after hours (it isn't) and the other couldn't. Sean arrived and was very courteous. He used a wheel dolly to move the car out of the parking space. Hooked it up and away we went. They were there when promised, friendly and efficient.
If I could give them a zero I would. I was towed from my apartment complex where I already pay $1400 a month in rent. I explained that my decal had likely just slipped off and offered to provide documentation and everything and they refused to be reasonable charging me $303 to recover my vehicle.
During the floods from Harvey my truck stalled before I was able to make it home. I had to leave it and travel on foot. Before I was able to get back and assess it in the daylight, it was towed. I called several different wreckers trying to find out where my truck was. Finally I called Action Towing, they said that they did in fact have it and that I could come get it when I was ready. I got there to find my truck in the very back of the yard, behind several other non-running vehicles. He asked me if I thought it would actually run and honestly I didn't. He asked if I had full coverage, cause I could just file it on my insurance and not go through all the trouble of dealing with it. Unfortunately, I only have liability, as the truck is fairly old and paid off. He asked me to wait to get it as it would be difficult to move all the other vehicles, and offered to not charge me for storage. I waited a few days and the rain cleared, so I went to get it. He held to his word of not charging me anymore, but I think they could cut people a break during these times. I paid $235 to have my truck towed less than 5 miles. A year and a half ago, I had my truck towed to west Houston (20+miles) for $195. I appreciate the offer they gave to me, but I'm just glad I had the money to spare in the first place. Some people out there do not, and it's said to think that there are companies charging more than the normal rate during such a catastrophy.
My vehicle was towed here. The people who work in the office were nice, polite and pleasant to deal with but upon walking around the back to get my vehicle as instructed, I was greeted very rudely by and two other men and was treated like nuisance and rushed out of there. I asked the older gentleman if I had done something wrong and his reply was, no, the other guy has cancer and that's why he had the attitude and treated me in such a rude manner. No one likes being towed but considering I just paid $398 to get my vehicle without an attitude, the last thing I expected was to be treated like a trespasser. Sorry about your health but no excuse to take it out on me. Check your attitude.
Tried to intimidate me from the outset, I called the police and they changed their tune real quick and provided all the documentation i requested.
If you deal with these people and they are shady about providing their licenses or explaining new damage to your vehicle call the police and have them come to the location.
Extremely dishonest and rude people, they are only interested in extorting as much money as they can from you as fast as possible.
If what they say does not add up or you feel you are being lied to call the police and they will come help settle the matter. Be sure you record the entire interaction from start to finish at least audibly.
For me they did not say anything that would be cause to have the fee dropped but they definitely expressed their displeasure with anyone who does not immediately pay them in full for stealing your vehicle.
I have a paid covered parking place at the Parks at Waterford apartment complex in Kemah. Action towing has the contract with the apartments to pull wrongfully parked vehicles. My vehicle was towed by Action towing even though my parking pass was visibly displayed hanging from the rear view mirror. They are very unprofessional and extremely hard to deal with. They would not bring the vehicle back although finally agreeing to their "mistake." I was told I could come pick up the vehicle with proper identification. I was told to take a taxi at my expense or have a friend drive me. Wow, such nice professional people, telling me they were sorry and no charge for the tow! I hope the Parks will be looking in the very near future to negotiate a contract for their towing service with a reputable wrecker service. This is my second extremely negative experience with these shysters. I wouldn't let them tow so much as a broken down lawn mower. Take my advice. Call anybody for your towing needs but this bunch.
