The mechanic was told what i wanted done but he decided to do additional work at EXTRA cost. He copped an attitude. Never going back.

My daughter is at college in Clarendon, 5 hours from where we live, and two weeks ago her car had a crank and no start issue. Being so far away, I called Floyd’s, since they’re the only game in town and had them tow the car to diagnose it. After having the car a day, they told me that the timing belt broke and the engine was bad. I got a trailer and drove 5 hours to get the car. On a OHC engine, you can see the camshaft through the oil fill cap. I removed the cap and cranked the car only to find the cam spinning, which means the timing belt isn’t broken. This is something even the most basic mechanic should be able to figure out. It turns out that the car had an issue with ethanol gas and was simply flooded. I held the gas pedal to the floor which puts it in clear flood mode, and the car started in about 10 seconds and has been running fine since. These leaves two options. The “tech” at Floyd’s is either extremely incompetent, or they’re extremely dishonest. Way to help a 20 year old girl in college out.

On an 18 hour road trip and discovered a nail in our tire (3rd of the week) back in Amarillo, read the reviews and decided to try Floyd’s. Great decision! Incredibly friendly and got right to fixing it and we were in and out in about 15 minutes. If you have bad fortune like us, would absolutely recommend them.

I was traveling to Dallas and had an issue with my bumper. I stopped and they were so very kind and generous with their time. They helped me get back on the road with no issues. I have had poor experiences with vehicle places in the past being mansplained to. These gentlemen were respectful and courteous and I highly recommend them.

Highly recommend this shop! My brakes started to go months ago, and I did not have the $$ for the repair. Had to keep driving on them. Today I took it in to Floyds, and the repair was very reasonably priced. Definitely not what I was expecting from the damage I'd caused. Nate was very knowledgeable, and Steven was extremely helpful.

I'm from CO and was on my way home after Thanksgiving holiday. My Subaru started having problems and Floyd's Mechanics were VERY honest. They could have sold me several hundreds in repairs, as I knew it needed work but was trying to get through this trip before I did them. They sent me out the door for less than 40 dollars and the fix got me home with no problems. I wish they all lived and worked in Pagosa :)

My family and I (6 in total) making the final leg of our drive from North Dakota to San Angelo, Texas when our GMC Acadia reduced engine power about 11 miles north. We called, slowly drove our car and they were able to diagnose and fix everything immediately. Very knowledgeable mechanics, military representation ( 🫡) and outstanding customer service. Even let our youngest dig into the donuts. Thank you for all that you did! 1000% recommend!!!!!

We were an hour out of Amarillo, on the last leg of our cross-county RV trip, we suddenly lost brakes and power steering. Fortunately for us, my husband called Floyd’s Automotive. Nathan the owner came to us, quickly diagnosed the problem, went back for parts, returned, and made the repair. He is honest, knowledgeable, and a truly nice person. We are so grateful!

We came from Dallas. They done an excellent job of fixing our front right tire. We got a nail in it. $15 bucks. Less than 20 minutes. Very efficient! Thank you guys

Wow! These people saved our bacon last Friday! We were headed back to Henrietta, TX after a fun week of ATV riding with family when the bearings started smoking on one of our trailers outside Clarendon. We limped in to Floyd’s Automotive Supply just before they were about to close. Not only did they have the parts, they offered to keep the store open later to make sure we had what was needed for repair. The people were so nice to help us out! Had a trailer bearing go out west of Clarendon and still had over 200 miles home. We arrived about 4:30 (they close at 5:00) and they jumped on it, got us new bearings and then helped replace the bearings to get us back on the road. They gladly stayed late and let us borrow tools as needed. Great group of people.

Two weeks ago we were driving through Clarendon on our way to Colorado when we experienced a misfire. They quickly diagnosed it as a bad ignition coil. Even though they were busy at the time, they could see that we had kids and made extra effort to squeeze us in. They got the ignition coil replaced and had us back on the road in 30 minutes. Three cheers for Floyd's. They really got us out of a jam.

Noticed a crack in my windshield in Amarillo that was spreading. Pulled in and they took my car right in and fixed the chip so that wouldn't spread. Didn't cost an arm and a leg and in less than an hour was back on my way to DFW. Fast, friendly and a welcome site after a long drive. Much appreciated.

Amazing experience with this business! Took care of an urgent issue quickly and got my son back on the road headed to work! So thankful for them and their attitude and service! WOW!! Highly recommended!

We were stranded on the side of the road due to a blowout. It was early morning Wednesday. I called Floyd’s and he asked for tire size and asked if we had a spare. We gave him size and told him We did have a spare that was flat. We were also about 15 miles away from the shop. He charged us $120 to air up my spare tire. So driving on spare now to the next town because they didn’t have my tire size. Bad communication.

I pulled in with a dead battery. I had no clue it was severely corroded since the terminal had a cover on it. The guys were a tremendous help. As you can see, they left my battery cables and terminals in tip top shape, looking like new. I’d definitely recommend these folks. They went above and beyond to help me out.

As we were trying to close our mechanical sliding door for our mini van, it got off track and we couldn’t close the door. We are not from here and chose the closest place to our location which happened to be Floyd’s. They helped us get our door closed so that we could continue on our trip. They were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them!!

Good service, honest, polite and helpful. If they don't have the part they get it as fast as they can. They know thier business and will get you going. I highly recommend them. I've had my pickup worked on here, tires fixed, vehicle inspection, bought parts and haven't ever had a problem.

Our daughter goes to school 5 hrs from home. Floyd's went to the Clarendon campus, got the tire, fixed it and put it back on w/in 4 hrs of my call. Awesome service!! Thank you so much

Great Job. Had a HS girls basketball team traveling from Fort Worth to Amarillo. Tire issues and had to pull over 10 miles north of Clarendon. We had no way to get spare off or bad tire off. Called Floyd's and 15 minutes later they had someone out there to help my ladies and got them up and running quick and they were able to make their game in Amarillo on time. They were supper fast, courteous, and did a great job. Thanks

I'm beyond-thankful that these guys were nearby when my coolant pump gave up. • They had the pump I needed in stock. • They had a spot for my pickup & trailer, first thing in the morning. • And assigned a knowledgeable staff member to get my coolant pump swapped out, who also inspected & cleaned components like my serpentine belt that had all been coated in coolant. This guy was awesome! To top it all off, it was at a REALLY reasonable price. -2006 Ram 3500, Cummims 5.9 Coolant pump.

This shop is criminally negligent when it comes to auto repair. I would not trust them to safely repair any vehicle. We brought our car in to have a control arm replaced and they spent $2300 and a week to incorrectly repair almost everything they touched. They caused so much damage that the vehicle was considered a total loss by insurance and deemed not safely repairable by the dealership. Bolts were missing, 3/5 wheel lugs were cross threaded, bearings installed backwards, bolts not tightened. I had error codes when I picked it up that weren't present before I came in. They also charged me twice to replace inner tie rod ends that they never actually replaced. When I presented them with a report of what the dealership found wrong they deflected blame and refused a refund. Luckily, the credit card company was able to prove negligence and charge back the full amount. They never covered any cost for my total loss.

We were traveling on Mother’s Day when we had a blowout on the highway. A kind stranger changed the tire for us but it was squeaking very bad. We were 60 miles in on our 900+ mile journey back home. We stayed overnight in Clarendon. We went to Floyd’s on Monday. The guys were very nice and they got us back on the road within the hour. Their prices were very reasonable. We are very grateful to the guys at Floyd’s!

Extremely impressed with this place!! On the way to Colorado from Houston for Christmas with 3 adults, 2 kids and 4 dogs, we had a check engine light go on. We stopped here to check the code and subsequently to get the spark plug replaced. We were back on the road so quickly. It was cold and windy and they were nice enough to let us wait inside with the dogs, 4yo and baby. I would recommend this business to anyone. Thanks Floyd's!!

This place is amazing! I was driving from Colorado to Dallas and hit a nail outside of town. I was traveling alone with my two kids and Floyd’s made sure my tire was fixed and that the rest of my tires were in good shape for the rest of my trip. What peace of mind! Thank you, thank you, thank you for being so kind and helpful!

This establishment is the most honest mechanic shop I have ever been to. I stopped here on a 15 hour road trip because my check engine light came on and not only did he check my light in the parking lot for free, he offered me free advice to resolve my problem which worked. I tried to give him money but he persistently refused. This was very refreshing after stopping at Napa right next door and almost being charged 25 dollars just to have the light read. Floyd's Automotive is most definitely reputable and if you are in emergency need this business can be trusted.

Friendly service, they went out of their way to take my brother 10 miles down the road to his unexpectedly immobilized car. Floyd determined the issue was a busted alternator belt. Once the car arrived at the shop the mechanic replaced the belt and took the car for a test run. After topping off the fluids and a quick inspection the vehicle completed a 900+ mile trip to Phoenix. Honest knowledgeable specialist, definitely recommend!
