Fun place to meet for a beer and some food. There's usually live music. The place is in the city but really doesn't feel like it once you're there. We enjoy going when it's nice weather.

Hands down one of the coolest spots in The Colony! Great drinks, awesome live music, and tons of food truck options. Love the vibe with the old cars and the toilet seat museum so quirky and fun. Plenty of seating, pet-friendly, and just an all-around great atmosphere. If you haven't been, you're missing out!

I had an incredible time at Truck Yard (The Colony)! If you’re looking for the perfect outdoor hangout in Grandscape, this is it. Here is the breakdown of why it’s a must-visit: * The Food: I tried The Beast sandwich, and let me tell you—it lives up to the name. It was absolutely huge and tasted amazing. Beyond that, all the rotating food trucks offered really reasonable prices, which is a breath of fresh air for this area. * The Atmosphere: The fire pits create such a cozy, welcoming ambience. It’s the perfect spot to lean back and enjoy the live music, which was top-notch and kept the energy high all night. * Convenience: Usually, parking in this part of town can be a headache, but parking was close and super easy to navigate. Whether you're grabbing a cheesesteak or just chilling by the fire with a drink, this place nails the backyard party vibe. I’ll definitely be back.

Love the truckyard. It was one of the first places I went when I moved up here and it did not let me down. I love bringing people here. They always have great activities for holidays, great food at the trucks, and great drinks! Also, they constantly have live music which is always great.

The bartenders work efficiently and keep the line moving. They check in with a direct and friendly tone. The frozen options hold up well in heat and do not melt into water quickly. Food trucks rotate, which keeps the menu interesting. Each vendor on site during my visit served hot food with clear attention to timing. Everything arrived fresh. The portions matched the price without feeling small. Seating options included shaded areas, picnic tables, and raised platforms. You find a spot without much searching. The venue pulls in groups, families, and solo guests. Everyone has room. Staff walk the area and keep tables cleared. Trash bins stay emptied. Restrooms stayed stocked and clean. Parking around the property feels organized. The lot fills up during peak hours though there are nearby options that do not require a long walk. Truck Yard The Colony works well for a casual afternoon, a relaxed night out, or a meetup spot before heading somewhere else. The balance of music, space, drinks, and rotating food makes it reliable. I would return and recommend it to others who want a place to unwind without pressure.

The place was nice but wish there was more of a variety of foods. The drinks were great and I'd definitely go back maybe during the spring or fall. It is outdoors so not recommend for cold nights, although there was a fire pit, they were all taken and I'm sure on super hot summer days it's probably too hot to sit outdoors.

Great vibes and a beautiful outdoor area! The brews are a bit pricey, but the food truck variety is excellent. I grabbed the beef nachos and they were pretty decent. Definitely worth a visit!

Came here with a group from work, while I'm DFW area for training. Love the whole place, unique setup - car graveyard entrance is rad! Love music was amazing the night we were there (no idea what band) Multiple bars and great drinks. I didn't have any food, but a co-worker did and said it was incredible. Any time I'm back in the area, I'll make a strong effort to come back!

It's just a real cool place to hang out. Have drinks, food and live music. They even have karaoke rooms you can rent for up to 15 people. There are like 5 or 6 food trucks. And also 1 indoor bar, 1 outdoor bar and one indoor/outdoor bar.

Loved it here! Live music was great, the food trucks had great options for our group and the atmosphere was relaxed. The staff are all really proactive, upbeat and genuine.

Absolutely love Truck Yard! My fiance and are regulars here. My sister booked a karaoke room for my Bachelorette this weekend and we had the best time! Shout out to Cam and James for making our night so fun and memorable! They really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time.

We went for some food and a couple beers on a Saturday night. It was pretty busy but the line for the bar moved quickly and the bartender was friendly. We went to the Avila food truck and got the birria loaded fries (the birria eggrolls were sold out) The fries were huge, could easily feed 4 people. Pretty tasty! The man taking orders at the food truck was friendly as well. We found a spot at a picnic table to sit down and enjoy our food and drinks. When we finished we moved closer to the stage to sit and watch a live band play some music. People seemed to be having a good time, people were up dancing. There’s also a convenient bar right next to the stage if you need a drink refill. The ambiance was enjoyable, very laid back with overall good vibes. We will be back ?

Unique spot with a rotating food truck park, bar and food inside, 2 levels. Lots of fun in the sun seating outside. Cornhole, ping pong, hook and ring.

The Truck Yard in Carrollton builds on what makes the original location in Lower Greenville great by adding features to make it even more eccentric like upright cars lining the entrance to many different types of seating to suit all types of groups and occasions. There are good food options, but let’s be real. The real draw is the live music in an open air environment. Check out their website for a schedule of all the artists that will be performing!

We drove in from out of town and wanted to spend the evening relaxing listening to live music while getting a bite to eat/drink. The setup is really cool. They have yard games, plenty of fun seating, several bar areas (one being a brewery), food trucks, and a toilet seat museum (which was a little odd). Lol We were there on a weekday, so it wasn’t as lively as I’m sure it is on the weekend. There were only two food trucks open that day…tacos and desserts. We were not really in the mood for that particular kind of food, so we just ordered drinks (Happy Hour), listened to the music and enjoyed the rest of the evening.

My sister and I had the best time at The Truck Yard! Loved the live music and variety of food to pick from with the different food trucks! Pretty much all outdoors so it's better in the late evening/nighttime! That way you won't melt! We will definitely be back!

The Truck Yard is a very cool place to hang out and listen to music and enjoy a variety of food and drink choices. Got to meet Cotton the manager, great guy, and the staff were all very nice. Musician Frankie Wheeler sounded really good. Tons of seating indoors and outdoors, definitely will be back next time I’m in Dallas.

The highlight of the night was Avila’s Tacos food truck. The Mexican food there was absolutely delicious — soft tortillas, well-seasoned meats, fresh salsas, and generous portions. You can taste the authenticity and care in every bite. There are also other food trucks offering grilled meats and even one that specializes in seafood like lobster, crab, and shrimp. In addition, you’ll find trucks selling hats, shirts, and other local goods that add to the street-market feel. The only minor downside is that it can get crowded during peak hours, so plan ahead. Tips & Warnings ? Don’t miss Avila’s Tacos: One of the best taco spots around — fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. ? Arrive early if you want a seat: It gets busy fast, especially on weekends.

Great vibe with live music over food & drinks. Just grab your favorite old style table and grab your drinks, its going to be amazing. Had a great family time from 7 to 9 pm, its dog friendly too. Not too crowded on a Thursday evening, and its worth visiting it you are in Dallas. Kids are allowed too but be careful as there are rusty vans and stones around.

Visiting from Montana and checked out the Truck Yard on a Thursday night. Perfect amount of people. I would imagine it being overcrowded on a Friday or Saturday night. Great food and deink options and the live music is a perfect touch. Such a cool place!

I went up here on a Sunday and met up with some other friends. It was my first time there. It was very aesthetically pleasing, love the idea of having board games and TVs, drinks were good. I didn’t care much for the music that day but I hear that they have karaoke and they have other music etc. and that it does get really good so I would go back again and give it another shot.

The vibes are the best at the truck yard! They have great drinks and live music. Plenty of seating and great areas all around. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the bar staff was not the friendliest but they did their job right! The food staff was not the friendliest either but that’s not part of the truck yeard.
