CAUTION! Most expensive tow of my life. *Make sure you get a detailed and comprehensive invoice BEFORE you allow them to touch your vehicle.* I had a flat in a large SUV and called this company. Was initially told the driver would be out in 30 mins, which is why I didn’t call someone else. An hour later, called and the same operator told me the driver was “just down the road” and should be there in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later I called yet again. Eventually about 90 minutes after I had called the driver arrived. Initially the operator had told me the cost was $89 for a call out charge and up to $85 for an additional hookup charge in addition to the mileage charge. He said there could be additional charges for “additional services.” The driver arrived, saying he had only gotten the call to come our way 30 minutes prior, so who knows what was going on for the initial 60 minutes we waited. He asked if the vehicle was 4-wheel drive and proceeded to spend about 10 minutes hooking up the “dolly” equipment to get all four wheels off the ground, as he did not have a flatbed. He said absolutely nothing about this affecting price. He proceeded to tow us 13 miles. The grand total for this tow? $430 This is by FAR the most expensive tow, albeit the shortest, least remote one, I’ve ever had. The driver charged us an additional $100 for the dolly setup for “all the extra labor.” And because “it’s a really heavy vehicle.” We were also charged an additional $10 on the “hookup” fee for an unexplained reason. I remarked to the driver how exorbitantly expensive this was, and he said, “yeah, I’ll be honest, this is a really expensive company” and said he has no control over pricing. When I called the operator to express my frustration with the disingenuous communication and exorbitant pricing, he told me I should speak with the driver. I highly recommend against using this company.

This business deserves 0 stars for the abysmal customer service and its utter lack of integrity in operation. While the operator and driver were responsive to our calls, our experience using Daniel Towing was stunningly poor, primarily due to the wrong and grossly underestimated wait time, the patently false “maximum” pricing, and the fact that they knowingly omitted important information pertinent to the conditions of the transaction. Where we were quoted a 30 minute wait, we ultimately waited 1.5 hrs for their driver. The most disappointing sign of their lacking integrity was when we ultimately learned from the driver, Chris, that he was only assigned the work order 10 minutes prior to his arrival (which was well after 1 hour and 15 minutes of our waiting time)! What’s more is that the “maximum” possible price we were quoted for the “basic tow” was still at least $10 less than what we were ultimately charged. Overall, a business that operates sloppily with very little care for its customers or integrity.

I should have read the reviews as there are several with my same issue. My car was towed 0.8 miles and I was initially quoted $65-89. I was there with the key, the driver was able to uneventfully get it loaded. When we got to the shop which was under 1 mile total distance, they tried to charge me $180. The guy on the phone argued with me and even played a recording that stated what I was initially quoted and still tried to tell me I owed $180. I have no idea where they we’re coming up with over $100 more than what I was told. When I questioned why I was being charged this more than double price they guy was pretty rude and eventually asked me how much I could pay and then offered to lower it to $135. Worst experience ever. I will say the driver was very nice and tried to help how he could. He only charged me $100-still more than what I was quoted but reasonable. I feel sorry for the people that they rip off. Not a way to do business!!!!!

Horrible experience with this company today. I called for a battery jump, and was told that the fee for the jump and service would be $119. I was then told that the tech would give me a call and be at my home within 30 minutes. 45 minutes later I called to follow up on my request and was told that the driver had been assigned and would be at my home within 30 minutes. Another 45 minutes later the driver arrived (who was friendly) jumped my car and left. The entire interaction was less than 5 minutes. I was given no information about the status of my battery, how long to allow it to run, nothing. I left the car running and then went to the gas station where the car died again. I need to state that the driver is maybe 5 minutes out from my location at this point. I immediately called back to let them know that the jump didn't take. I asked if the driver could come back to my location to try again and I was told that he and no other drivers were available, and that it would be roughly two hours for someone else. I asked to be refunded for the service and was met met with attitude. I was then transferred to someone else who was extremely rude. He said, "we did our job, why would we refund you?" I told them because the job and service were poor and incomplete. He continued to be extremely rude on the phone before I ended the call. For some context I am a single woman who was stranded in 100+ degree weather 5 minutes after paying for a $119 service. They could care less. I rarely write negative reviews because I believe people and businesses have bad days, but I was floored by this interaction and the money lost. No customer deserves this type of treatment, and to the two men I spoke with I pray you don't have daughters. Thank God for the kindness of strangers who actually displayed compassion for my situation, jumped my car, and ensured I got home safely.

I called them and requested a tow and they said it would be 60-90 minutes so I found a towing company that took only 30 minutes to arrive. When I called to cancel (after only 15 minutes since I called them!) they charged me 89$ as a cancellation fee! 10$ or 15$, or even 20$ I can understand, but almost 100$ just to cancel because I found a faster service??

I am pleased with their quick response time, on-time arrival, and excellent services at an affordable price. When I had a flat tire, I called them and they came right away. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of dependable towing services.

The staff was very nice but I got quoted around a 100$ tow ride service and ended up paying 228$! I understand the 89$ showing up fee and even a 29$ drop off fee but 228$? This is for a less than 2 mile ride from my apartment to the mechanic with only a 6 mile travel time for the tow truck from their current location to my apartment! I was not in an accident or in the middle of the road it should have been relatively ok price but 228! Never again.

We called this company at 8:04pm and it was communicated to us by Justin there would be about a 45 minute wait. That’s fine, it’s late, we’re flexible and approve the services. It’s now 9:37pm and we finally got a phone call from a sub-contractor (who they apparently called to help them out because they didn’t have enough drivers on hand) letting us know he would be here in another 25 minutes. This was about 30 mins after I had to call to make we were still on schedule with them because we hadn’t heard anything from anyone after our initial phone call in over an hour. It’s now 10:16pm and our car is finally being towed - more than two hours later. If you value your time and money, do not use this company. I do want to thank the subcontractor who said he was 25 mins away from us and was indeed that far. He was friendly and took care of us quickly - if you can get his contact number directly, do it and avoid this company.

I just called to arrange a tow of my truck approximately 1 mile to the dealer. I was told that I would have to pay the dispatch fee of $89 plus $65 to $85 if I stayed in town for the tow. My wife is out of town so without a lot of options, I agreed. My bad. I called one other towing group in town that was much more affordable (no dispatch fee) so I called Daniel Towing back 4 minutes later to cancel them. I was told that I would still be charged the dispatch fee of $89 since the driver was already on the way. 4 minutes... they agreed to reduce it to $59 but stood by their policy of once they've dispatched, you still pay. I get if I called 10-15 minutes later. That would be more understandable. So now I've spent $59 for no service from Daniel Towing. Worst $59 ever spent. Considering others don't even charge a "dispatch fee", this was a stupid decision on my part to agree to those terms. Just beware and call others to understand what is fair for this service before agreeing to arrangements like this. I completely understand the policy so that customers don't waste Daniel's time with late cancellations, but every business needs to exercise some flexibility and customer focus along with it.

There was no effort required by the tow driver since he was able to drive the car up the flatbed. Drive to workshop is only 7miles. This only cost at MAX $88 - $100 when later talked to my friends and the insurance agency. He was trying to charge $165… finally agreed at $150 if I am not using credit card and pay in cash. Won’t use this company again, feel like ripped off.

called them to get toe service tow truck calls me 40 minutes later then tells me he can't make it its too far he will call me.with another truck because he is too busy . never receive a phone call have to call back Daniel's then the operator proceeds to tell me their busy and I should call another company because their too busy. all I wanted to know was a time frame I've been at my vehicle for 2hrs now . DO NOT USE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE .

My final driver was professional, courteous, and friendly and I had no problems with the tow itself. However, it took approximately three hours from when I called to when the tow truck arrived! The delay wasted my entire day and ensured that my vehicle (towed on a Saturday) would not be looked at by the dealer until Monday. (Of course, since they make you give them your credit card info, there is no way to cancel without paying the $59 dispatch fee.) Furthermore, if you pay out of pocket, they are quite expensive: $300 for a 7 mile tow.

Daughter got into accident on Business 121 during rush hour traffic. Driver arrives quickly and was very nice, inquired if she was okay and got the car up and home in no time flat. Thank you for your great customer service

Customer beware!!! I called about getting an big item towed less than 5 miles and was quoted $89 for service call and a tow charge of $60-$90 with no mileage fee unless it was over 10 miles. When it came time to pay I also had a $20 mileage fee along with a $29 drop off fee which was not mentioned in the quote. They should have mentioned any additional fees that might have been in addition to the original quote.

The only tow company that actually answered today. Couldn't be more happy that they were the ones to pick up. They charge a bit more than the others, but worth it. One of those "you get what you pay for." Tow truck was here within 15 minutes and the driver was very nice, personable and respectful. Shows this company cares about its customers. Thank you!

Everyone I spoke to was very professional, both Juan the driver and Chris in the office. They worked with a complicated situation (towing a car with no transmission from one repair shop to another) and made sure my car got where it was going quickly & safely. I can't recommend these folks enough - they are prompt, affordable, and very easy to work with!
