I had a terrible experience at General Recycle. I brought in a load of metal that should have been worth around $100, but they only gave me $11. I felt completely ripped off, and the staff didn’t seem interested in explaining the low payout. It was disappointing to see such a huge difference in what I expected versus what they gave. I won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for fair prices
Website saids 3:30 on Saturday s we get over there at 2:55 pm and then she comes out and says she's closing early today I said website says 3:30 she says she doesn't care about the website in a very rude way
I love this place.. been coming here a few years now. The older of the two women is not rude. You just have to get to know her.. they are both very sweet and kind.. they have awesome workers too.. I love this place for sure...

Computer Recycling. We take outdated IT equipment here. Glad to have a place I can drop off old equipment. Feel better about scraping it than throwing it in the trash.
We went at 1p on Saturday and was turned away as they were done taking metal for the day. Disappointing! Do not recommend. They are too small. Go to AAA Recycling instead.
READ 100% Poor business practices. Quoted me .50/lb for aluminum, I told her that I would be back the following day with over 200#. Less then 24 hours later, she would not honor her quote. She (owner I assume), dropped it to .45/lb after I had unloaded 234# onto her scale. Keep Reading!!
I MUST REPLY TO THEIR RESPONSE BELOW!!!! WRONG!!! I came by (never ever called) the day before with a BOX full of the aluminum that I was needing a quote on...they examined the aluminum, and hell, I even let her employee grind on the sample...returned first thing the next day with the exact same material...would not honor quote. ...And they can play ignorance, but she remembered me from the day before, and I reminded her that they quoted me in person and cut into the sample 8 hours previously. Shows the honesty with their reply! Perfect Reply in my opinion!

I went to both places on the same day, Almetco paid almost 10% more. $2.35 at General recycle vs $2.50 at Almetco. I added pictures of the receipts with from both places. Note the date and time and rate. Almetco posts their price daily. General recycle gives an arbitrary rate when you ask. That rate will always be less than the going rate anywhere else. STAY AWAY!!! The proof is in the pictures.
actually i am a legitimate first time customer and we were not that unhappy. we were not smoking either the reason i rated your business with two stars is because there was no greeting or communication upon arrival plus we were just common first time customers and felt customer service was poor and against what it takes for a five starrating. now you are lying on me because he was not told then ignored the directions by anyone not to smoke we wouldnt disrespect your place that way. and the license was the only card expired by him mine was good his recycle card is good and not expired i am still coming for business i hope your service improves because it is not fair to hate on me for my report
Pretty quick drop off if you have a cash transactions card if not you get a check or deposit. The paying price isn't very fair but I say myself the gas time and milage from driving to Dallas or garland. They have no competition so they set there price.if you don't mind driving go to encore recycling in garland but call first and ask prices. The Asian lady encore was actually nice would come back.
I'm happy. Don't take my word for it, because I don't have much experience, but we seemed to get decent money for aluminum cans. Plus, other reviews confirm my suspicion that they're good.
