Paid 1600 for a sprinter 722.9 transmission. Took three weeks to ship. I have 1088 miles on it. And the transmission input shaft blew apart and wiped everything out. Dakota auto parts won’t help me in any way - besides selling me another “used” trans with 168K for 1500. Would not recommend to anyone

My experience with Dakota Auto Center Inc was absolutely awful. We sat down, agreed to order specific parts, and even made a detailed list together. When the order came in, many of the parts we had agreed on were missing. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, the staff flat-out denied ever discussing the rest of the parts — even though we had paid for them. To make matters worse, they refused to refund the money for the missing items. Every time I brought it up, they insisted those parts were “never discussed,” which is completely untrue. This kind of dishonesty is unacceptable. On top of that, their customer service was rude and dismissive. They showed no accountability and made it clear they had no interest in resolving the issue fairly. If you value honesty, professionalism, and basic respect for your money, avoid Dakota Auto Center Inc. They will take your payment, deny agreements, and leave you frustrated.

Owner’s son doesn’t have any people skills, he’s incompetent and very lazy. The low star rating on this company proves it. My suggestion get someone else to handle your company

Joe and Tony were terrific! They had the steering column I needed, had it pulled for me in a timely manner, sold it at a more than fair price, and made sure I was 100% satisfied with my purchase. They sold me faulty injectors, all five injectors failed test, except for the one they kept for themselves. It's my fault for trusting a junk yard.

Called ahead to ask if the part I needed was available, asked if it needed to be pulled or if it was ready to pick up and was told it was ready to go. Drove an hour and a half to get there and when I do the guy at the counter says they don't have it, it was cored out months ago. Useless.

Had a good experience with this junkyard. They quickly found the tailgate I needed and ordered it without any hassle. The part arrived in a timely manner. I have no complaints.

Me and my brother walked in this morning, trying to get a door replacement trying to negotiate price, owner son got agitated and aggravated real quick for some odd reason he was arguing with us. He gave us one warning to leave and pull the gun out on us. Do not ever come to this auto parts store owner son was disrespectful and rude

This the worst auto parts in the world. Its the worst because when you call you get a price and when you get there to pick up they raise the price. He's done it twice to me now and whenever I went to pick up a gearbox he doubled the amount and according to him noone else had it and thats why he raises the price. He just makes you waste your time and gas. I don't recommend purchasing from this place.

Nick helped me, he was an honest and helpful young man that went above and beyond to get me taken care of. The owner Joe Rodriguez, was helpful too with adding extra information that he had learned from years of experience with my particular vehicle. I cannot say enough good things about this company, and these two men! I drove 5 1/2 hours round trip to get this transmission not knowing who I would be dealing with when I got there, but I would do it all over again knowing how fair and upstanding this company and it's owner/employees are. I HIGHLY recommend Dakota Auto Center! UPDATE - by the time my mechanic got to installing the transmission we had gotten from Dakota a week and a half had gone by, I found out that Dakota had sent the wrong torque converter with the transmission I had bought. As I had mentioned in my earlier review I was 5 1/2 hours round trip from where they are located. My mechanic called initially to explain to Joe what had happened, and I followed up the next day. Joe was apologetic for the mistake asked me to give him a couple of hours to locate one. He called me back the same day saying he had found one and that it would be delivered to my mechanic's shop the next day (free of charge). It was delivered as promised at no charge to us. I am happy to report the transmission has been installed and is working well! Once again, Joe Rodriguez and his business have shown how a reputable business is supposed to be ran! I was impressed the first time, and equally as impressed the 2nd time!

I had an extremely hard time finding an axle for my truck, I finally called Dakota Auto Center and they had one. I read the reviews from Dakota Auto Center and was apprehensive to order a part I had no chance to inspect myself as I am in Northern Michigan, but I was getting desperate (I had been searching for this axle for weeks) I decided to order the axle on a Friday, the axle was on a pallet and shipped out that day. I recieved the axle the next Tuesday as promised. The axle arrived in good shape and was as advertised. I would not hesitate to order from Dakota Auto Center in the future.

So which one was it? Was he the only one in the shop or were there customers there? You KNEW the part was not ready yet you continued to blame it on the body shop next door. Then when I tell you the body shop guy said he’d of had it done but you hadn’t gave them the part, you get mad and yell at me on the phone and hang up. All cause I called out your lies! Not to mention all the lies you said the day before! And then when he gets there the first thing you do is say get out. He had every right to be upset! You never once mentioned a “broken forklift”. Can’t even speak to your CUSTOMERS who are spending over EIGHT HUNDRED dollars in your shop!! Not professional! You’d rather act crazy and push on people. So no sir you deserve the reviews you got!

I wold like everyone to be very careful when purchasing parts from this place. We lost $710.00 doing transaction with this company. We ordered 2007 sprinter drive and it came in damage. Their response was they are not responsible and we should take this up the shipping company. However the shipping company says that the parts were defective from the start so they are not responsible either now we have a law suit against them. Just be aware of bad business people like this.
