Hope Graves is the best service person you could have! Battery was messed up and the system could not find me but she went out of her way to find me to fulfill my warranty and even had someone drive the battery from another location once she realized they didn’t have it. PRIME TIME SERVICE WITH PRIME TIME PEOPLE.

Once again, my experience here was amazing. The first time I came was a couple weeks ago to buy some brake pads and some rotors and Cynthia was very knowledgeable and helpful with the whole transition of purchasing these items. Then I came today a couple weeks later to buy a starter for my car and Cynthia as well as Hope were more than accommodating and friendly and had a great smile.

Before you leave the store, double check the box for all the parts and components. I was sold these break pads but with missing pad shims. Just a torn plastic with some grease where the shims would be. I guess who ever needed them forgot to put them back. By the time I found out, I was already at the auto shop. I had to reuse my old and rusty pad shims with the new brake pads when I replaced them.

Bare minimum employee, with bare minimum service. Had what I needed, but that's all. The employee on duty was not nice, not rude either, but somewhere in between the two. Not going back to this location unless they are the only location around the area that has a part or accessory I need.

Don't trust this place. I ordered online for an oil filter, I stopped by to pick up at 3:45 on 10/17/25, the lady looked for my part.she said we don't have it and going to cancel. So I left then i checked my email it said your item has been picked up. I called the store, they said that i have to comeback and talk to the manager. hello, you have the camera, you can check if i get the part on that day/time. Not recommend this store.

Bad. For whatever reason, if you have a return of a warranty part or a bad part, you can’t take it back to any Advance store. And supposedly it’s because they are on different “systems“. This is 2025. You should be able to take a part back to any store at any time with no problem. And good luck trying to get help on the phone. You pretty much have to walk in to get anything done. Now as to why they make it difficult to return things, I’ll let you kind of figure it out, but the hint is that the harder they make it to return things the more money they make because people don’t return stuff. It’s probably just that simple. Make it difficult make it to where you have to drive across town And you might not do it and they pocket the money.

Sochi has great customer service. I forgot my receipt from a purchase I made the night before. Also the guy that helped me out did not ask for my number, so my purchase can be tracked in thier system. So I had to return what I purchased the night before because i recieved the wrong part. But I went to return part but without receipt. I forgot at home but I paid with my card. So that’s when Sochi (the Gurl with the green hair!) helped me out. She worked like a little detective to find my purchase. With her patience and determination she was able to track my purchase. So she was able to do my return I ended up getting the right part this time with the help of Sochi’s outstanding customer service. You need more people like her. In conclusion I left advance auto a very satisfied customer all due to Sochi’s politeness and for being very helpful. Thank you Sochi!

All reviews begin with five stars. During the review process the service(s) and circumstance(s) maintain or lower the rating. This Advanced Auto is comparable to most of the same name facilities in which I have shopped. It is stocked with all the common parts. Parts not in stock can be delivered from the warehouse to the store on the same day, sometimes within a few hours. Common loaner tools are available at no cost. More expensive loaner tools may require a returnable deposit. Diagnostics are performed for free and a printout is provided. They offer price matching with other auto parts stores. They also have an awards program and provide a military discount. The purchase and customer service process can be quite slow which is now seems to be the norm for all auto parts retailers. I fully commit to the 5-star rating.

Dear manager.
Your staff are completely overwhelmed. I see reviews saying they were rude. I doubt that to be true but it's clear that they are understaffed and not given the resources to do well.
I guarantee if you had one more employee on every shift you would make more money than they cost.
I won't be coming back if I can avoid it. I like to shop local as opposed to online. The truth is that online is cheaper.

Came for 1 things had me waiting behind a person , 2 people working there but can’t assist in me checking out coolant that I only need. Had me waiting 10 mins in line for nothing , do better

always packed, fewer shops that i personally like and google will tell you it has places that closed like they are still there. all in all i only go for fossil and the shoe places anymore

I came in today because my battery needed to be swapped only problem is I forgot if I purchased it in Texas or Virginia where I was stationed. Hope and Xochih went above and beyond calling stores in Texas and Virginia looking up my phone number and name in system to see when and where I purchased it. I recommend this store just from the excellent customer service alone thanks Advance Auto 103 S 1st St of Garland, Texas.

I had to stop by Adance Auto to get a car battery after my car won't start at the grocery store. Today started to be a beautiful day, until my car went wrong.
I called my husband, and being the wonderful man that he is, he came, gave my car a jump off to get the start car running.
He had me drive his car to make sure it was just the battery. We made it to advance Auto, and they told him that battery was still under warranty and gave us a new battery, so I can now get my kid & I can make it to school and work tomorrow. They used to be good. Unfortunately you have to have all receipts from 10 years ago for them to honor any warranty. Just having your phone number no longer works. Most employees are young and do not see the importance of ordering parts. Showed up to 2 places after parts where promised to have been ordered only to find out. No one did and all I formation was correct when I go ally got the part. Avoiding this place from now on.

I miss Vic. He was friendly and acknowledged everyone. Unfortunately, good customer service Is super hard to come by these days. It's really getting weird. Employers need to do a better job of teaching their employees to acknowledge people when they walk in the door, especially when they know you are going to have to wait awhile to be helped. It's as simple as looking at the customer and saying something like, "sorry for the wait, We'll get to you as soon as we can". So when the guy behind the register is helping the only other customer in the store and never looks at you one time and lets you stand there for 10 minutes and you can hear the other employees in the back goofing around, common sense would be for that guy to holler back for someone to come up and help. But no, that would make too much sense. It's basic common sense unfortunately some people don't have any.

I ordered a radiator hose at 10 am and the lady that I spoke to told me was going to be ready to pick up at 2 pm. So therefore I send my son in to pick up the holes at five in the afternoon and to my surprise it’s not there. no one could give him the whereabouts of the hose or replacement hose and was told to just call back in the morning. So I show up and ask him what’s going on and everybody has a dumbfounded look on their face. So I asked to speak to the manager because I wasn’t gonna order a part that I could order right there in person at that moment and he told me he couldn’t help me there’s nothing he could do. I don’t recommend this location at all don’t ever deal with that manager named Henry at store 7589.He got loud and I told him if no one could help I was going to call cooperate office. So he threw his hands up and with a loud voice said “go ahead the number is at the door “

Always plenty of staff willing to help. Whenever i do an online order it's always pulled and ready by the time i get there. Nobody lurking in the background ignoring me while i wait at the cash registers.
This is all exactly the opposite of my experience with the Avenue K store which is why I go to Garland now even though it's further from me.
Also note that the Garland store is their area hub so if only one Advance Auto has a part in stock it's prob gonna be this store.May 09, 2021 -
This was my first time going to this location and my 2nd time going to this company. And I couldn't believe how rude was the guy that helped me. I walked out and he did not care that he was rude and was not trying to help me.
Whatever he has going on in his life he shouldn't be taking to work.
Won't be coming back.

Tremendous staff of employees here, always willing to help and do anything they can to make sure you get the correct parts. They're all very knowledgeable, which helps. This is the only place in town that I go for parts unless I can't find it quick enough through them. Their prices are awesome and if you place the order online you get 20% discount off your order and pick it up at the store in 30 minutes!store. Again can't say enough great things about the place.

Customer Service was top notch! They were not only extremely interested in helping me find what I needed, they did it with a smile and a pleasant attitude, first thing in the morning too! The part I needed was in stock and the price was $16.00 when every other store I checked prior was $50.00. Very impressed with this store, the employees and the whole experience! I will be returning here instead of the stores closer to me! It's totally worth the extra miles!!!! Thanks Advanced Auto Parts! You've got a customer for life from me!
