Absolutely no direction what so ever.Employess give very vague directions specially since it was first time ..ended up just selling my steel and copper wire and keep my brass and billet aluminum they had us circling around property No signs NOTHING except some information that did nothing other than cause confusion and taking business else where.. very unfortunate hear some helpful tips to improve your customer service and usability of coming to your company put some signs up because clearly your employees are incapable of answering simple questions and giving simple directions and answers
Outstanding customer service inside—-great team outside guiding trucks onto scale—-fast loaders—-a little tight for an extended hood truck but it’s all good—-100% recommended—don’t know the metal prices but lots of people come in must be good —Thank you

The worst place ever my advice go somewhere where they give a good rate per pound I took my junk car they pay me 0.06 per pound not recommending it at all
The prices were very fair, but the entire process was confusing. You had idea where the entrance or exits were. The exit had a very tiny no entry sign. Secondly, there is no way to know what the weight of your load was until a tenant gives you a slip of paper with a number on it, so you really don’t know if you are getting a fair weight. Lastly, unless you have been there before , you don’t know where to exchange your weight ticket for cash because the entry door wasn’t clearly marked. Nonetheless, I will be back.

Very smooth for a scrap yard. Bulk tin and iron go to drive on scale get weight, dump and weigh again. Nonferrous metals pull to one of the open bays or wait to be directed. Most of the guys are very helpful.
The whole process was confusing and designed to lowball you. There’s no way for you to know how much they are paying until after you have unloaded everything. And when you realize you are being lowballed, its too late because you have unloaded. Just go elsewhere.
OK, but know what kind of materials you got. Because they don't tell you.
When you go in. First They weigh your vehicle, then send you around to the scrap steel and metal area. You put your stuff on the pile. Then they weigh you again. (You never see the before and after weight ) then they give you a ticket for the less weight of your vehicle. So, it is very important to know your materials , because you don't want to put copper, stainless steel, aluminum, brass etc. On the scrap steel pile, because these materials you get more per pound . You take these materials to a different area to be weighed. Note: you only get 6 cents per pound for scrap steel.

Visited here for many years. They maintain a high standard on the way they operate. Someone directed the in and out traffic dealing with different kinds of customers. The interior and exterior of the facilities was organized and this a never ending yet dangerous process. The whole experience was efficient and effective.
Great job for keeping “trash” valuable and the “mess” in order.
They treated me like stole the window unit . No it was not stolen . Nit picked the aluminum scrap had very minimal paint on a few pieces. I will never go to Encore again . Such low life how I was treated there . Very unprofessional. No good for nothing workers
Great service from everyone, very friendly from the moment you enter until the moment you leave. I highly recommend them for over 14 years, always going with them, good prices and very good service from the entire work team.
After calling around they seemed to be the the best priced, also noticed how clean the yard was! watched some of the workers walking around with magnets checking for nails and screws
Been coming here for years. The staff and guys in the yard are professional and the customer service is the best around. They always have the best prices as well. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed.
Been coming to encore for about 13 yrs. They seem to always have the best prices around town. Guys working outside are fast and courteous when u drop your stuff off and quick to help you unload. I spoke to Spencer when I called in for pricing and he was courteous and very helpful as well.
Stop going here for your recycling! Just drive down the road to GEOMET recycling. You won’t regret it. Way better customer experience. Friendly and knowledgeable personnel.
I don’t know what has happened over at encore but they will not keep their word on pricing.
With these guys paying top dollar for every metal you have in the DFW area, they move heavyweight. They get customers in and out with efficiency and speed! I've never had an issue here with pricing, payment, or weight discrepancy. This is definitely one of the best places to take any metal you have!
I will always come to encore recycling because for the last 15 years, they have treated me like family. Very nice, faithful in the office lovely music. And it feels good when it's hot outside!
I almost gave your business a five star review because the guys outside are super cool. But the cashier inside... I'd give her attitude and personality a -10. I said hi, she said nothing. She asked for ID and I showed her. She started tapping the counter with her nails, telling me she wanted the ID w/o any words.
Her attitude and behavior needs to end. She's not doing anyone a favor. She's literally getting paid to help. I'm most certain that she has disrespected others as well.
Please, see that she improves her attitude.
Awful service, I had more then 5 bags worth of squished aluminum cans that weighed way more then 1 pound and had way more then 79 cans in them. But yet they paid me for 0.40 pounds of cans. And ripped me off for what my product was really worth. This is the kind of place where you need to know what your selling and be sturdy with your product and hold your ground cause if not they will take advantage and not pay you what you need to get paid. PROCEED WITH CATION WHEN SELLING TO THE THIEVS
Horrible customer service. im an everyday customer,and everyday I pull up to the scales, have my things ready to be weighed, as i sit there for about 20 minutes, because everyone walks away from thier stations, untill other people pull up after i did and they help them first. I end up spending a minimum of 3 to 4 hours every single day at this place being treated terribly. I have seen them let other customers put their foot and some of their weight on the scale as they're weighing their Metals out for them and writing down all the weight on the ticket. The only reason I continue to come here is because they have better prices that's one good thing I can say about this place other than that everything is horrible I dread coming here but I have to make money to live
Four bays open when I pulled up. They saw that there was a line being formed and opened up another lane to alleviate that. The employee doing the separation was on point. Even handed me back some pieces to save for my next drop off that was of higher value that was mixed in with other lower value material. That's what definitely earned them the 5-stars from me.
I’m always willing to try a place despite the reviews. However, I wish I had taken heed. The administrative staff is incredibly unprofessional and have no basic manners. To maintain decorum, I won’t go into full details, but please refrain from this place. ESPECIALLY if you have never recycled before. They don’t explain how the process goes over the phone and will be incredibly rude if you ask in person. This stuff may seem like common sense but if you’ve never scrapped before it will feel incriminating. If you must go here, avoid the light skinned girl with the wig. A simple smile would have even gone a long way. I woke up today and decided to do my share to prevent global warming and after leaving here wished that I had thrown it in the dumpster. Also, this is a real review and is not spam and it does not contain anything obscene to be reported or removed before anyone even tries.
For a brass and copper mix, we got paid .90 per pound. It’s at least a $1 in most places, even if it’s scrap. The guy wrote the weight without looking at the screen, and got 62 pounds, when the buckets were pretty heavy. We had come before and sold copper and got $96. And it was one bucket, not 2, and with similar looking copper. Certainly not coming back again. Avoid this place if possible.
I love this place, any kind of metal, brass copper or anything else they will take and give you the best price in the Metroplex.
I went today 3-22-22 and I haven't been in a while so they had to make me a new card. The only thing good about the gas prices going up is the price of copper and brass and aluminum goes up to.
They are always so helpful when it comes to unloading my truck and telling me how to get the best price for the items I'm recycling. They seem to pay the best price around for the recycled items. I've been going there for years and I highly recommend them to everyone I know. They do not take catalytic converters without a mechanic slip or an air conditioner compressor without an AC technician receipt due to the high amount of theft of these items.
AVoid this place if possible!! They will rip anyone off.. Literally just left one scale came to this one and it was off 100 lbs. I asked the guy at the scale and he said maybe you lost fuel on the way. Within a few miles i lost 100lbs of diesel. This place is a joke!!!
Nice place, good people, easy handling. In and out no problem! Took two damaged wheels to them and received 28.00 - not bad considering they were trash. I was really surprised that they were open to accepting my expired ID as a form of ID since mine expired during the pandemic. Luckily I had my paper ID with me anyways, but spoke volumes to me that they had empathy for their customers. Will recommend anyone to do business with them. 5 stars.
I've been here before. Before I go on, let me first tell you, I've been recycling for over 10 years and have visited many scrap places. These people care about good customer service. The line was a little long, but it was on a Saturday, so it was busy. The lady was handing out free Chick-fil-a sandwiches to every single person. The prices were good and quick. They have enough personnel working. Great place. I highly recommend it.
