AWFUL experience with this company — want to share our story so others don’t fall into the same trap. My partner and I needed a tow truck service to jumpstart our 2022 Honda Accord, which was parked in a garage with a dead battery. Since the car couldn’t be put into neutral, we knew we’d need professional help.
When we called the company, we explained our situation, including the make and model of the car, and they assured us they could help. They quoted us $95 for the service ($50 cancellation fee), which we paid upfront.
Once the technician got there, it quickly became clear they couldn’t do anything to help:
The car required a specific tow truck to move it (something the company should’ve known based on the make and model).
The technician didn’t have the tools to put the car into neutral.
His jump box wasn’t charged enough to jumpstart the car.
The technician WAS professional and apologetic, but he informed us that we’d have to contact the company for any refunds since they’re the ones who coordinate and charge for the service. When we called the company, they were dismissive and showed no empathy for our situation. They repeatedly insisted that they sent someone out for a jumpstart, ignoring the fact that their service was completely ineffective due to their own lack of preparation.
We asked for at least a partial refund, but they refused and claimed they don’t give refunds—something they conveniently never mentioned when taking our payment. They did offer to send another truck out, but only if we paid an additional charge.
This company knowingly took our money, despite having all the details about our situation and the type of car we were dealing with. Their lack of transparency, empathy, and professionalism is appalling. We feel scammed by the company (not the tow truck driver, who was just doing his job).
Learn from our mistake: don’t trust this company. Instead, call your dealership or use your car’s warranty service. Make sure to ask about their refund policy, if any.

First truck wasn’t big enough to haul my F450, had to wait almost 2hrs for the second truck, but besides that, the driver was great, very wise, had a long conversation while getting towed, even gave me a ride back to my house so I could save a few dollars after the $430 tow bill, I appreciated that, I will be recommending them to all of my fellow hotshot drivers.
