Wonderful staff, Elroy was there to help out with sorting and they are very honest reasonable and above all the rest on fair pay for your scrap metals. We will be going back to see them for all our scrapping from now on. Thank you guys @ spring scrap metal recycling, you're very much appreciated.
UPDATE: 07/23/25 My last visit was all because of miscommunication but it has since been cleared up. They give very fair prices and are more honest than any other scrap services around town. I highly recommend Sorting Scrap Metal for their prices and customer service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Easy, convenient and fast. A bit tight on space but the guy worked easily around other stuff in my truck; and the front desk lady was super personable, helpful and nice. I honestly don’t know a “good” scrap metal from “bad” but I was pleasantly surprised! Plus they offloaded a broken dishwasher that I got a couple bucks for!
This team has always been fair to me. They are one of the recycling centers in the Spring ,Texas area that actually answers the phone; usually on the first ring. Their staff is bilingual and always friendly. They are always happy to quote prices per pound over the phone. The prices here are always within a few cents of their competitors - sometimes more, sometimes slightly less. I like that they are extremely organized in their operations. They get you unloaded quickly and keep things running smoothly. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to be helped out in a visit here. Further, the yard is clean and no mud or debris to drive through at other shops.
Spring Scrap Metal is my go-to for recycling of both my commercial and my residential scrap. Keep up the great work team!
Place never lowballs! Actually if you are owed 33.40 they will just give you 34$ The staff all there is sooo friendly and ive been doing business with them for 3 years now. Best scrap metal place in spring/Tomball area 1000000% keep it up you guys
I been going here for several years. The owners Irma and Katherine friendly with a smile knowing the difference in wires and metals. Which I bring all kinds including breakage which in small machine components. The employees also a big plus helpful with unloading the scrap
Being new at driving a trailer, I was nervous to drive into the parking lot for Spring Scrap Metal Recycling, but to my surprise the staff were so kind and they used their forklift to offload my trailer.

I had called before going there and asked if they accepted some of the random items that began to collect in my garage. They were very nice and answered all my questions. I showed up, backed my truck inside the warehouse, and they unloaded everything. I was satisfied with their offer and will be back to unload a few more items. Appreciate the great service.
Great customer service! The lady up front was very helpful. It was my first time there. All in all, this place is by far the best place I've been! I won't go anywhere else! I was at this place last week with my husband exchanging some metal. They have some of the best prices out there. The staff is super friendly love the mother daughter grind, they were very helpful and full of positive energy. Definitely making this our original spot for metal scrapping.
They are quick and let me buy a 50" aluminum light bar that someone scrapped ...they let me buy it for $10 and told me it was junk. So I took it apart to replace the Copper power line that was cut off, cleaned and sealed it back up. Put it on my truck and then told them thank you again for the $10 junk light. If I didn't like it so much I would sell it for about $2500. It has a lifetime warranty from Vision X and one of the brightest LED light bars out there. Vision X 50" Xmiter Prime Xtreme .
Excellent customer service! The staff was very friendly, prompt, and professional. The owner was also very kind and made you feel welcomed and valued as a customer. I’ve been to other scrap metal recycling shops that are rude. This one is the best and only one I will come to going forward.
Terrible experience. I bought in 117 pounds of metal and they only gave me $5. They tried to say that metal was only paying 4 cents a pound. Really, other posters say they got 40 cents a pound or more! I think the woman behind the counter just makes up stories to be greedy (deshonesta!). Thing is, I can get more metal easily from various sources, I will be happy to bring my metal to other HONEST competitors who will profit from my business and make it worth it for me to bring them scrap metal. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!
Umm I don’t really understand what just happened but I handed them every component of an ls3 they gave me a ticket. There was no deal involved, no quote. It was just here’s $5 and then they closed their door on me. Very strange, would not recommend going here.

Great company to do business with! Irma and her crew are very friendly. This is a very convenient location for me. Their hours are pretty standard with most recycling centers, any they're open on Saturdays too!
They give you an awesome return on your scrap metal, appliances, brass and copper. Some days, there may be a wait, but generally speaking they get you taken care of in under fifteen minutes. I can't think of any other place I'd rather go to!
