No better or worse than others. Very low end, but it's a scrap yard ... think I got a fair deal for my junk.

They knowingly steal from you. They measure the weight of your trailer without unhitching it to your truck which is robbing you of the hundreds of pounds of tongue weight. I caught them doing this to me and asked to weigh it again unhitched. This time they were very careful to make sure I wasn't pulling more weight from the truck on the scale. They knew exactly what was happening.!

I've been taking my scrap metal here for many years. Never had any problems. The salvage crew does a good job. They process a lot of material! They are fairly fast and it is relaxing to watch some of the regular long time crew operate the equipment and process the materials. It is a hard, dirty, dangerous job! I operated a small metal salvage operation back in the mid 70s. I have always been paid fairly for whatever I have brought in there. Good people. Fair prices.

I’m tired of dealing with this place. Literally five times I have gone and they forget to put material on the receipt. If you want to get ripped off go here. There is a younger guy that unloads your truck and if you have smaller scrap pieces he will just push them off between the bed of your truck and the tailgate and then try to slam it shut that job is not for him. I went today for the last time and realized they didn’t give me my money for my copper wire which they don’t even know the difference between #1 and #2.

Don’t go to these people. They not only write you a check as payment, even though we have been there before, but they are screwing people. They are paying a dollar less per pound than the rest of the state. They are also rude argumentative and don’t know the difference between #1 and #2 copper. It was an extremely frustrating experience.

They didn't show me what the material that I brought weighed, and of course the weight did not match the weight that I brought, they believe that those of us who go to those places do not weigh the material before going, but to complete the price they They gave me for pounds it was very low to the actual price, I really felt like I was robbed

Nice enough for a scrap yard. Not the best but not the worst. They have always gotten right to business and haven't left me waiting.

I often recycle aluminum cans. The cans should be rinced and separated from other materials made from tin or steel, ect. It is possible to recycle other metals. One must present ID and sign a document stating that you own the metal being sold. This is a business geared to serve scrap dealers, automotive salvage, etc. There is only a gray clay and gravel entry that is muddy when it rains. The staff is friendly and will help the novice recycler , but be careful not to block entry to the scales where large items ; automotive fenders, doors, and hoods can be seen as well as refrigerators, stoves, copper, and steel .

I don't speak Spanish so there's a definite language barrier. But there quick and some what nice to deal with.

Location is great because it’s convenient, but the whole place is a mud pit, the scale is in the stupidest location so you have to wait for people to unload just to get weighed out. They also don’t pay normal rates for anything. They write whatever they want on a sticky note and pay you based on that, not the actual weight of the material. It’s just a guessing game. I can go in 5 times in the same week with the same price per lb with the same exact material and it’s never the same amount of money. Nobody speaks English so it’s not like you can question them. People unloading just grab whatever and start throwing without knowing what’s scrap and what’s not, and again can’t speak English so you can’t tell them. I also don’t want people jumping up in my truck with dirty, muddy boots but that’s what you’ll get here. I’d rather unload it myself and save my sanity and time.

These guys are awesome... I love there employees, very nice and curtious. I've been to many scrap yards and usually most of the others are very rude and pushy.. these guys are great and helpful... I will be coming here every time I get the chance

Don’t take your scrap here unless you know what you have and know what’s it’s worth. This guy told me my catalytic converter was a fake. I didn’t need the money for it I just wanted to see if they were going to be honest or not. Not to mention he walked off with a huge smile on his face when I just said ok.

We drove down to Spring, TX because everywhere else was closed. When we got there, they said they were closed. We explained that we came to them because Google said that the place was open. Plus, I was about to run out of gas. Thankfully, we didn't have a lot and they took our scrap metal. I will recommend Madewell to everyone. Thanks for your time last week.

Not going back. The guy didn't listen to me I told him it was tin again and again. I heard him tell the lady in spanish it was iron. Quit playing dumb

I'm giving it 5 stars because of the drive on truck scale. No one here wants to speak English to you though. They do usually help unload, when they feel like it will result in a tip especially. I did witness them being selective though and not help a couple of guys. I think their pricing is low lately. But we're ashl trying to survive these days of Covid19 and the commodities market.

They are very fast and quick. They pay top dollar and they give the best prices for dead batteries and copper if you have large quantities.

Inexperienced employees. They do not know what types of stainless I had. Kept trying to tell me it was steel not stainless steel. I have been in the machine shop business for 39 years and I know what I was bringing to sell. They do not have the instruments to check the shavings I was selling. Also, I was quoted a price on the phone about 3 hours prier to me going there then when I get there they did not want to pay what I was told on the phone. Stay away from here.

Everything is weighed and documented. You get paid at the window. They seem honest and professional, will return again.

I use this place every week, but its been about a month things kind of shifted, today the guy gave me half the price that I usually scrap for.too bad I already dumped my metal, one thing for sure, I will never go back there. I was really disapointed.

Extremely easy and fast. They pay a fair price for scrap metal. Would definitely do business with them again.
