This is by far one of the friendliest auto shops I've ever been too. The staff is knowledgeable and they are willing to stop their work and entertain any questions you may have. To me it was very important to notice how proud they were of work they had done. I certainly recommend this shop to others.

Recently I went over to STMC just to catch up with Scott a little. I mentioned that I needed some hinge bolts. Scoott went into the warehouse and came back with a used set. I asked him the price and his response was No Charge!!!! To me that's great customer service...

Scott, the owner has always been helpful and carries a lot of stock! I've been able to purchase just about anything for my '72 Cutlass and he usually has it! This is a "Toy Store For Big Boys"!

Took my 67 Chevelle in because it had been sitting in my garage for over a year and needed some TLC. Actually needed a lot of TLC. I had been going to this shop for parts for about 10 years but now I needed a good mechanic. Scott and Javiel showed me what needed to be done and gave me the options of getting 1-new 2-rebuilt, 3-absolute safety issue or 4-could wait a bit. I let them know my priorities (safety first) and that is exactly what was done. I had a few small things done as well. They didn't try to push me into anything I didn't want or need. I pretty much knew how much everything was going to cost. I felt the prices were fair. I was really pleased with the outcome and how my car is running. Scott, Javiel and Hershey were wonderful to work with and I would recommend south Texas Muscle.

Customers please beware, don’t get taken for a ride, South Texas Muscle & Classics (STMC), is not a good business. Their getting a rating of (1 star) very unsatisfied from me. STMC took advantage of me, please don’t be a victim, don’t patronize this business. STMC was highly recommended, I visited and meet Scott (business owner). I advised him, that I had a 1970 Pontiac Lemans that needed simple electrical work (re-wiring the alternator, adding new auxiliary gauges, missing A/C duct, no brake lights and non-working cigarette lighter (power source). Scott seemed nice and knowledgeable. I granted STMC the job and Scott, assured the work would be finish in a timely fashion around (1 week) at an agreed upon price around $1100 dollars. STMC dragged their feet and had my Pontiac Lemans there for around 5 weeks. The car was there for simple minor wiring work. STMC took their sweet time working on my car. My car was in the perfect working condition other than the items stated. While parked at STMC and not being worked on, I received a call from Scott, claiming that my rear car brakes were bad, now mind you that the car was in great working condition. I drove the car to STMC, with no issues or brake problems (misleading information) rear brakes fine and working. The car was in excellent condition other than stated repairs. About 2 weeks into repair, Scott called me and asked me to pay for repairs up front, stating he needed to make payroll and his mechanics needed to get paid. This was surprising and very unprofessional, but like a dummy, I paid up front and paid around $500 dollars additionally, above agreed upon stated price. Scott than turned around a week later, stating that I need additional work and parts, which cost around $650 dollars, which was alarming but, I paid. I had been visiting STMC at least twice a week checking on my car with no avail. I called STMC one day and Scott advised me, that they had to adjust my transmission shifter linkage, to get my reverse lights to come on. The reverse lights were fine and working, my brake lights were not working. This work should have not been done. I went to STMC unannounced, Scott advised, my power steering pump was leaking and that I had no fluid. He showed me a large puddle of power steering fluid on the ground. I’ve owned this car for two years, with no leaks and keep in mind, I drove the car there with no problems. Scott further advised, I needed a new wiper motor and new gauge cluster, due to wiring issues and a faulty wiper switch. This did not sound right nor feel right, at this time my car’s wiring system was disassembled and in shambles (wires everywhere). STMC didn’t work on my car in a timely manner as promised. STMC drove up prices and lining their pockets. After it was all said and done, I was out of pocket for around $3300.00 dollars for minor electrical work that should have could around at the most $1200. Scott took advantage of me and the situation. If, I hadn’t removed my car from STMC, the bill would still be climbing. Don’t be fooled by Scott’s chamming personality, he smiled in my face and stabbed me in the back. I would not recommend STMC to my worst enemy.

He has many parts in stock for these older GM muscle cars, I just dont agree with the dog being in there barking and growling at me and he says its friendly... I love animals, but they dont like everyone, so separating them from customers is a better choice, but this guy has a ton of parts and some nice cars.

Just went by there earlier today and it was an awesome experience!! I was referred by Outback Truck Parts to go see Scott @ South Texas Muscle & Classics to help me find some parts for my 58' Bel Air. Scott was able to help me out with some of the parts that were available at hand and for a very fair price. To anyone out there who is looking for classic car parts, I highly recommend South Texas Muscle and Classics for any of your parts needs. Thanks again Scott.

This place is awesome. Scott treats everyone with respect and will help you with any parts you need. I just picked up a undamaged used part for my 65 El Camino out of one if their parts cars. Price was very fair for a part not available through aftermarket sources. They only option is to get an original panel.

This place is trustworthy for internet orders. They had a specific code roto-hydramatic I was looking for (For my 64 Catalina). First of all, they were one of very few places I contacted that was actually willing to check the code on the transmission tag. The unit had some corrosion on the outside and they were happy to pull the pan and take extensive photos of the inside of the unit for me, which looked great. They did an excellent job setting it up on a freight pallet for me and it arrived safely. I took the unit apart last night and the inner workings are all in excellent condition. Big thanks to Gary who made sure I got a good transmission core and ensured that everything went smoothly!

Great prices on classic auto restoration parts. One of the only brick and mortar parts shops that can beat internet prices.
