Honest, knowledgeable, thorough, efficient communication. If this is what you're looking for in a mechanic, do yourself a favor and take your car to Texas Cars. The first time i needed a fix i called and spoke with Michael. When i brought my car in a couple mornings later, Joey was in instead. It was like i had talked to him on the phone also. He knew my vehicle, what was wrong, and they went above and beyond to fix it, and test it, to make sure it was fixed. I've gone back, and sent two other people i know since then, both having similar experiences. They both are now going to be future customers as well. I will highly recommend, time and time again. To anyone i know, this mechanic is where you should go.
The owner was very helpful and very knowledgeable. I took my car here for a pre-purchase inspection and they were able to identify a few issues with the car that saved me over $1000. Very grateful for their team. Two team members even walked me around the car and showed me underneath the vehicle, and gave a great amount of detail on any issue that they found.

Mike and his staff were incredibly professional, and most importantly genuine. They were honest with what I needed and made no attempts to scam me (like all dealerships do). Couldn’t recommend them more (I never do google reviews so hopefully that shows how great they were)
These people really truly care about their customers. I'm a full transparent and honest individual and have been using them for 10 years because of their consistency with going out of their way to help me.
They assisted me with a rental vehicle (in which they didn't have to do at all) when I was having troubles with an warrant policy with a different automotive dealer (when I purchased my vehicle) that stated I had to get the vehicle done there and had horrible experience getting the clearance released over to CARS. They kept communication and stayed diligent with contacting the claim company and myself to keeping me informed while I was without a car, in which they then gave me one to drive.
After getting my car serviced and released Friday, my car wouldn't restart after I got back into my driveway. They came within 2 hours of being closed for the weekend, rejumping it with a battery, and getting a new battery after bringing it into the shop.

i would 100% use them again, & i would be confident sending my grandma or my momma here!! took my car in for suspected transmission issues: they did their due diligence & discovered it was NOT the trans (woohoo)!! i am clueless & the issues were presenting like transmission issues, so they could have quoted me thousands & i wouldn’t have known any better…they truly demonstrate their INTEGRITY which i have seen other reviews noting as well!! they took SUCH good care of me: communicative from start to finish, KIND and patient on the phone, prompt turn around, & they specially addressed my concerns when updating me on the status…10/10!!! can’t say enough positive things about my experience with the men of Texas Cars! After just moving into the state, I called around trying to find a place that could perform out of state emissions testing with the reciprocity that Texas has. After 5 different calls, I found this place. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and dog not greet me with attitude. The pricing was fair and they completed the test expediently. Will definitely be choosing them for my car care needs
They are the best, most reliable, most reasonably priced shop around. The owner, Michael Muirhead, will always hunt down the best cost for the part that’s needed and never jacks up the price when invoicing the customer. He will also work out a payment plan with you if it’s a large expense. They also offer a concierge service for vehicle pickup and delivery which is so very helpful. As you can see, I can’t say enough good things about Michael and all the mechanics in the shop. I only know Tucker and Joey by name, but everyone I amazing. They have to be because if quality, service, and/or customer satisfaction were to sip even the slightest, they’d face the wrath of George The Top Dog Shop Dog!
Our vehicle was running warm and the A/C would shut off at times. New to Dallas, I took it to two different places for repair. One a highly rated local business and a dealership that supports the brand we have. The first shop said the radiator needed replacing at approx. $1200.00. The dealership replaced the coolant and also flushed and replaced the A/C refrigerant...still no success. Then they wanted to replaced the water pump for about $2200.00. Knowing a little about mechanics, I said that didn't sound correct.
I took it to Texas Cars and Joey and his crew figured out the issue. He suggested the first thing they would do would be to replace the thermostat...and for a little over $200.00...problem fixed. It would have been an expensive repair if I had believed the dealership. I fear what would have happened to someone who believed the two prior shops and did not know auto mechanical basics.
We just went for a 1000 mile journey this past weekend, and the A/C worked wonderfully and it never overheated in this heat! Thanks Joey and Texas Cars.

My service was a Detail car wash. My car was super clean inside and out. The work was better than any car wash that I've ever gotten in the past. The best part was how clean my interior was. The dashboard, seats, doors, rugs or floor mats and console was spotless. I will continue to use their service because they go above and beyond the norm.

Super honest and a pleasure to work with. Mike was great. It was my first time at Texas CARS, so I was apprehensive about how honest they would be. I asked for a general look-over of my car, in preparation for a major road trip hauling a trailer. He could have made up all kinds of problems. Instead he only proposed work which I already knew needed to be done. And he gave me a great price. In addition, in his estimate, he included an alignment, which is typically needed after the type of work I was having done. Turns out the alignment was not needed and so he didn’t do it. He could have lied about this and done it anyway just to increase the final bill. Instead I ended up spending less money than I expected. I definitely recommend Texas CARS
I am so fortunate that I discovered Texas Cars many years ago when working in an office building that they routinely serviced. I have left that building and that job, but I still continue to take my car to Texas Cars. I don't want anyone else to work on my car. It is unlikely that I would be able to find a repair facility that provides a better customer experience and does quality work. I have been bringing my car to Texas Cars for 6+ years. They have done everything from oil changes to more extensive repairs.
I have an older car that is still running strong. Texas Cars is the reason why. I won't have to buy a new car for a while because of the great work this facility does. Their prices are fair and the mechanics are good.
Joey, the Director of Operations who interacts with the customers, is excellent at what he does. I can't imagine anyone better. As an example, he noticed a minor problem that I knew I had but forgot to mention to it because I had more pressing issue. It was addressed alongside my more pressing issue. That's going above and beyond.
I have been going to Texas Cars for over a year now. I have always had excellent quality customer service. Mike and Joey started out being my go to people as time went by I met and dealt with the other guys and they have treated me equally well. The entire staff know them cars and parts and never charged me extremely high prices. I live in Plano and could have very well looked for a closer auto shop but when you find a great shop you stick with them as long as they commit to great customer / auto care as Texas Cars do. I highly recommend Texas Cars for all of your vehicle maintenance needs. Their customer service and response times are the best I've experienced. The service was completed on time and there were no surprises when I received the invoice. Excellent service and great guys to deal with! So I noticed that there was some fresh spots of oil in my garage and thought dang, what's happened to my car. Called and they gave me a time same day, that morning in fact, that they would pick my car up from my office building to check it out for me. They arrived on time, called me a couple of hours later and said the leak was from a defective seal in the oil filter and that they replaced it for me under warranty. Then, they delivered my car back to me, no charge to me at all and problem fixed. That's what I call service and they are always so nice and helpful to deal with. So glad I found them! By the way, they've taken good care of my car for over a year now. Never any issues and always dependable to do what they say and in the time frame I need.
