Princeton Recycling is amazing! I visit them regularly for my recycled cans. They are extremely nice, and they treat me like family! I am happy to make the drive from McKinney to see them.
Cleaned out my shop and took a bunch of different types of scrap to make a little money after cleaning up around the house. Everyone’s courteous, friendly, and very helpful and it was by far the best experience I’ve ever had at a scrap yard and I’ve been to many of them. They pay good prices and overall it was fast, friendly service.
I've used this place a couple of times now, they're always very quick and very fair. Today when I went they even double checked a couple of my items and paid me the higher aluminum prices instead of steel prices for those things. They all seem like really nice people and I will absolutely continue using them whenever I've got scrap to sell!
Was told they would match Greenville recycling price of $2.25 for condenser coils but when I drove all the way there they backed out and said 45 cents a pound less. They wanted to verify Greenville was paying that even after verification they would not pay so I left and told them I would not be back. You wonder what else they are not honest about
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND……. Place has some serious issues. Service is nonexistent. And if you can’t tell by reading these other reviews, They are extremely combative, and unable to accept the fact they are wrong.
Had a big demo job and got in touch with Ricky Adams. He promptly coordinated hauling off dumpsters for me to be able to begin my job as well as swapping out dumpsters as soon as they were filled.
Ricky made it possible for me to get my job done promptly where we didn’t have to spend extra days on the job waiting to get my materials handled like some places I’ve dealt with before.
It was a no hassle deal to get paid for my recycled materials. Promptly sent me a check.

Zero professionalism and terrible communication. Last time I went, I was told by one person to dump in an open spot at the back, then another guy came up and told me to go somewhere else. I said that the other employee told me to dump back there and he said “he doesn’t know what he’s talking about”. Sat for about 1.5 Hours waiting because they don’t have a drive-on scale.
Go anywhere else. It will take 1/10th of the time and you won’t have to listen to employees with poor attitudes arguing, not only with other employees but also customers.
Terrible business dealings and professionalism. They don't seem to be on the same page and don't communicate very well with customers or each other.
There are many other better options for taking your materials. AIM Recycling has amazing customer service, and a drive on scale, as these people do not, which also causes huge delays in them being able to weigh your material.
Make a wise choice and take your scrap anywhere else.
I removed 200' of drill stem pipe fencing from my property, cutting it into 8–10' sections and layering the removed balled-up field fence between for transport. I arrived at Princeton Recycling around 3:50 PM on a scorching afternoon. Upon arrival, I was told they don’t accept chicken wire. I clarified it was field fencing, but they still declined, citing equipment issues—which I understood, though reluctantly.
Initially, they agreed to take the pipe and have me haul the field fence back. After checking with the office, they reversed course and refused the entire load. I assume they’ll be updating their “We Don't Accept” items and reconsidering the “Buyers of All Scrap Metal” claim to something more accurate.
I went here to drop off some cardboard. I initially looked at the website before I went. I missed the part on the site where it said they do not accept it. I told the guy at the door the website said they did. That was my mistake for not seeing that part.
I went to Princeton Recycling for the first time a couple of days ago and I'll definitely go back. The facility itself is very nice and organized. All of the signage indicating where to go and the state regulations regarding procedures are clearly marked. Everyone from the yard guys to the office staff were extremely polite. A man that I assume was the owner greeted me when I got there and thanked me when I left. The lady in the office was super nice and personable. She said the owner was a 6th generation recycler. All around great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thank you so much!
I decided to come here today on a whim with five bags of cans. I had been to cyclone recycling before so I wanted to try somewhere new plus it was a little closer to home. Staff behind the counter was friendly and organized and professional and I was out the door within minutes, followed by a few simple questions about my information. I recommend coming here to see how much money you can make with your scrap metal.

Poor communication and very unprofessional after offering to drop a trailer for me. I was honest and clear up front, they did not care to waste their time with a smaller load after I was clear it was not a large haul. Put me in a bad spot as I canceled my truck rental after their offer.
Edit to add: I had over 3000 lbs, but my garage was organized so It didn't look like it. Proceed with caution.
Edit to respond to owner: I very clearly mentioned I was not a commercial business and it would be a residential address. Sad to see a business twisting the truth.
My experience here was not good, They were rough trying to unload my truck, that the guy in charge told me they would unload it. I finally pushed the motor on the ground so the guy on the forklift could pick it up there since he kept trying in the back of my pickup. They don't except submerge pumps for a motor, my other location does.
Then to top it off, they didn't tell me ahead of time that they would have to pay me in a check, my total load was $30 and some change ,I might of had about 6 bucks worth of copper not stripped still insulated, and they said I had to have a cash card or something like that to get cash because copper is a controlled substance .
Never had this problem anywhere before, so I asked to be paid cash for the rest of my load in cash ,said they would not do that, then they finally decided to just pay me in cash for my whole load BUT I COULD NOT GET A WEIGHT TICKET SHOWING WHAT I WAS BEING PAID.
I left with a weight ticket or receipt.
Do not recommend !!!
Great little spot, plenty of space to get in and out, plus it's not west on 380! Jessica was very professional and the over all experience was a much needed break from the other yards.
I was there on Saturday and sold them some copper. They were really nice and really high prices. It’s truly clean out there and convenient to unload no hassle and they stay open on Saturday until five.
I found Princeton recycling on google and thought about giving them a try. I brought by a lot of copper and aluminum and they gave me the best prices Iv ever seen. Jessica helped with the process and made it very easy for me to sell my scrap. I will be bringing my scrap here from now on every week. Definitely recommend if you want to get paid top dollar than any other scrap yard around. They are super fast and friendly and be far the cleanest yard I have been too. Thanks Princeton recycling!
