They essentially stole my buddies car. The police mistakenly thought the car was stolen, so Big Bass towed it even after the owner proved it wasnt. Mckinney Police released it within 24 hours stating it was a mistake and not stolen and Big Bass still charged the owner $500! Knowing it was a mistake!
Drove someone up here to pick up his car and waited over an hour for an employee to show up just to watch them move a truck around like they had no idea what they were doing while waiting to get checked out. Pick anywhere else but here.
I am a retired police officer and Mckinney Police mistakenly towed our car using Big Bass Towing and impounded it at Big Bass, due to the vehicle being parked outside of our front yard claiming it was stolen when it wasn't.
Both Big Bass and McKinney Police were told numerous times it was not stolen and I even provided to show them all the VINs as I worked stolen vehicles as a cop. All of the VIN numbers on the vehicle were valid and there had been no issues prior with LE thinking the car had been stolen. They did not care and towed and impounded the car anyways. After McKinney PD released it stating it was a mistake and that the car was not stolen both Big Bass & MPD left us on the hook for the $500 impound fee. We were charged for the whole time MPD put a hold on it. A bit ridiculous since we didn’t do anything wrong and the report shows that.
The Employees have been completely rude and unprofessional about the whole situation. Both the driver of the truck and those at the office were all angry and rude. They also damaged the car and scraped it as it was going up and off the tow truck.
I cannot recommend this company as they are garbage. On the last review they claimed it wasn't them and tried to deny them stating it was a different company. Except it was Big Bass Towing out of McKinney Texas. So I am attaching a photo of them towing our car, the police report, and the follow up where they state the car was not stolen and it was released back to us.
These people are predators and garbage.
Their prices are nonnegotiable and VERY expensive, customer service was okay but they milk as much money as they can out of you. They also don’t take Amex.
Secondary contractor that Warrior towing uses to store their SNATCH-AND GRAB CARS AUTHORIZED BY THE CITY OF MCKINNEY in the county so the city has no jurisdicton, the wrecker companies or storage yard no culpabity.
There should a be negative stars option for this business. Horrible service, and actually breaks TX legally stipulated maximum charges. No one is at the shop and they're not really in McKinney but located out in the middle of nowhere NE of Melissa.

Long story short…….
Car was towed from an accident at MPD’s request. Called tow company (Big Bass) the same day not more than an hour or two later to inquire abt amount owed and was told $235.31 if picked up before 12am which will then charge another $50. She quoted $285.31 will be due at pickup the next day. I attempted to pickup vehicle the next day however I was unaware of business hours 8-4p, so while in route to location abt 7pm I decided to call ahead and was informed of business hours and was not given any other instructions or suggestions as to how to obtain my vehicle after hours which was puzzling to me, so I did not proceed any further.
I went the next morning which is now considered day 3 of storage, and was given a bill of $390.31 which is ridiculous. I questioned these charges and was explained as so:
$130 tow
$100 labor (“driver’s commission/compensation”)
$22.85 Impound (“required by the city to be in contract with them”)
$68.55 storage 3 days @ $22.85/day
$50 letter fee (“applied 24 hr after impound to send notification that the vehicle is in their possession “…by the way, this is applied after 12 midnight which was not and is not 24 hrs later)
$11.37 misc (3% credit/debit card usage fee)
$7.54 tax
I had to have the vehicle towed away from their impound by another tow service (which could have been used in the beginning so much thanks to McKinney PD for not allowing this option). The driver was given the wrong location of my vehicle on their grounds. Thank God I hung around because I was able to stop the driver from taking the incorrect vehicle (which was already in the process of being loaded on the tow truck before I noticed). This is not good for business to have or almost have the wrong property be removed and possibly delivered to the wrong owner.
I am not happy about this experience at all!!!!

DO NOT call these people… I was given a guesstimate of about $500.00 and was charged almost $800.00 they said that was because they charge more if it’s more than 50 miles, also they charge an up charge for tolls about $100.00 extra, 10% fuel charge and charged to use a credit card.. I told the driver I wasn’t told about all these extra charges and he told me it was the “new secretary” who didn’t know all these… the driver was good and explained these charges to me once it was time to pay but still it doesn’t make up for the fact that they rip off people
You're welcome Sir .Simply, Eddie is a humble family guy, unlike other Wrecker / Towing facilities, at his business,You don't feel that you're in a jail house. If someone has a bitterness, because his car was towed , It's not Big Bass Fault. It's the rules and laws.. He's doing his job, not taking advantage of a situation like other towing Companies.
Was quoted $400 and they hit me with a $541.00 bill claiming to have forgotten to mention all the extra fees involved. This was not a serious tow...guy just needed to be pulled out of a rut....no caged brakes or anything...truck running. Owning a trucking company is hard enough with people taking advantage of you by not giving you a fair shake. You've been warned
Was in an accident and Jon and company came and got me out. He was very professional, a good guy, and they took care of my car. Having experience with wreckers in the past, im really pleased that Big Bass are talented professionals.
HORRIBLE experience. Please I advise you to NEVER do business with these people, they are extremely rude and will do any possible thing to take your money! Unprofessional and WILL take advantage of you especially if you do not know how a towing company works. It doesn't even deserve one star.
Distrustful and nonprofessional. They intentionally gave us mixed information and the run-around for several days all while adding on their daily fee. To top it off, it was a tragic circumstance they decided to take advantage of.
We had McKinney PD call a towing service after our Truck was wrecked and this is the service that came out. The guy seemed really nice and told us the service was only going to cost us $85 to tow it 7.7 miles to a body shop. Today I call the body shop to make arrangements for our truck and am told the towing service has a bill for $197. So I called the towing company and they guy on the phone says the body shop has already paid the bill so there's nothing he can do cause he's not sure they can refund the difference to them and gave me a number to call their billing lady who happens to be out to lunch and is suppose to call me back. Needless to say whether they refund the difference and I only have to pay the original $85 we agreed on with the driver or not I would not recommend this company to anyone because for the amount of money they wanna charge I could have had it towed back to my home in Frisco.
