Great job done by this auto shop. Diagnosed the issue and fixed the issue. Another local shop had tried to and failed wanting 3x the repair costs.
I will only go to A Automotive for vehicle repairs.
Lady at the front really acted like I was annoying her for even trying to get serviced and couldn’t answer any of my questions.
Not even a “hi welcome in.”
Went with another shop.
Took my car in to have the thermostat and oil pump checked because it was getting hot, $382.51 later, I got a new thermostat and was told they didn’t do oil pump repair, and was given a number for Gentry’s. Unbelievable! The incompetent secretary should of done that to begin with, instead my car is still running hot and I feel like I’ve been robbed and there is nothing I can do about it. Thieves!
I called the shop on Monday morning to try to get it in for a simple job, a serpentine belt that needed changed. Should take an hour or two tops. No price up front they gotta look at it first. They were busy, couldn't get me in until Wednesday. OK, I get it, being busy is understandable. Though not having a car since Saturday was difficult. So, I set an appointment for Wednesday morning. I have the car towed in to be safe (in case the belt snapped the whole way, it's had split) at 9am. No phone call, no updates so I call around 12:30, no answer. I call back at 2, since they haven't called me at all. They haven't even looked at the car. Won't even be able to look at it until the morning. The whole point of scheduling an appointment is to have it looked at at that time, otherwise I would've just dropped it off Monday. Thursday morning comes, no call. I call them, they haven't looked at it. Lady on the phone sounds annoyed at this point. So, I decided to have it towed to my regular shop where I should've gone to begin with but didn't want to only because it's harder to catch a ride that far from my job. Turns out my normal shop can do the whole job today no problem. Lesson learned. *update* my normal shop (Express Lube on N Main) literally did the whole thing and another item I asked for help with in 2 hours. I waited 4 days just for this shop to look at it...
When we got there, they had the car blocked in by another car, it hadn't even moved from where it was dropped off. I had to drive it around in the muddy grass, hoping I didn't get stuck, just to get it to where the tow guy could load it up. So all these reviews about "quick service" were not my experience. Again, I understand being busy but say up front "hey we can't get to your car for a week", rather than me completely wasting a tow. I definitely feel like they took advantage of the fact that it had been towed in as I was stuck. I had planned on finding a shop closer to where I live and work but it's definitely not going to be this one. So, form your own opinion about this place but I'll definitely share my experience to help you decide.
Absolutely wonderful service and facility! I’m not the most automotive savvy, but the staff talked me through everything and all for a good price. My truck needed an alignment with some other little maintenance, now she’s running nice and smooth! Loved the front desk representatives and Alexis who made me feel right at home.
A-Automotive is ran by super honest, kind-hearted people. They get the job done quickly and effectively every time. Super grateful to have a reliable shop like them in town!
No complaints one the mechanics they do the work right but the lady on the phone needs more communication skills when you ask asked a question on hours . She gets aggravated and gets rude.
A-Automotive has fixed the brakes on two of my vehicles. They got me in fast and called to give me a diagnosis and quote before doing the work. Their rates are very fair. Very pleasant and professional bunch of folks. I recommend this business.
We went here based on recommendations from others in the community and I was extremely impressed with the professionalism, honesty, service, communication, and turn around time of the work! We have definitely found our go to mechanic shop for anything moving forward!
This is our go-to place! They make appointments and fu ish the job efficiently. Reasonably priced and friendly. They can also explain issues in terms I can understand since am not a mechanic.
My car wouldn’t start early the other morning, so I got a jump and took it to this location. I did not realize I needed an appointment but the receptionist at the front was very nice. She did let me know I had to have an appointment, but still let me know they might be able to check out my car later that afternoon. I got a call around 3pm that afternoon letting me know they were able to get to it. They replaced my battery, left my keys in a safe place and let me know I could pick up my car whenever I got off work. I paid over the phone. They even left my receipt in the visor. Great business, reasonable prices and friendly/excellent customer service! Highly recommend!
The service was quick and accurate for the repairs. The price was a little on the high end but worth it, after going to several mechanics they were the only ones who properly diagnosed the problem and fixed it....they did a great job
Friend dropped his truck off to try and get it running. $975 for a fuel pump and the transmission linkage. Turns out it had the wrong transmission installed. Price dropped to $650. As linkage was not installed. We went to get the truck and the battery had been stolen. Was left with the hood open. So whoever stole it had easy access to it. Would not recommend.
Professional people. Awesome service. The only shop I trust with my car. They're not money hungry and try to charge you for every little thing. I love that about them.
Had them do a brake job on my car, I was able to drop it off in the morning and pick up in the afternoon. They were able to fit me in without an appointment.
Brought my 370Z nismo in because my window wasn't rolling back up. I had 1 day off to get this fixed. They let me know it wasn't the window motor that it was the switch, which is the cheaper part. The mechanic was able to get my window back up without the switch and even took the time to fix my unplugged O2 sensor, which cleared out my check engine code. Other shops would have tried to lie just to make more money...these guys will have all my business from now on. Thanks A Auto.
I had brought my truck to them because my brakes were squeaking every now and then. I was fully prepared to pay for all new brake pads and installation. They told me that the pads still had about 60% life left and that the sound was basically not a big deal. They could have easily taken my money, but chose to be honest instead. I definitely will be going back to them in the future because I know I can trust them.
Fast, professional, reasonably priced. I pulled in on a Friday morning for a spur of the moment alignment; they had the vehicle on the lift inside 20 minutes and done in under an hour.
Professional , will return. Prices are pricey but does good work. I trust the work done as a woman. This company I believe is one you can send your daughter and the won't take advantage of her.

Courteous, professional, fair, and honest. I normally try to solve my own problems, but this one was sudden and somewhat of an emergency that made my truck unsafe to drive. So there was no time for my inexperience and to order any parts. They understood that and took me right in. The problem was fixed and I was back on the road in just a few short hours. Can't thank you guys enough!
I love this shop! They have a great staff that is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and informative. They were able to fix my brakes properly after the dealership tried 3 times and left me with brakes that "were as good as it's gonna get" yet almost caused me to have a wreck. They are a shop that takes pride in their work and does the job right!
These guys have been keeping my clunkers alive for years. They aren't cheap(or expensive). They have been honest, and have saved me money that a less honest place would have gladly taken off my hands. First class work, and they get your car out pretty fast.
A Automotive is one of the most professional and honest car repair & servicing facility I have come across. Recently I had my two daughters' cars serviced there. Chris and Tina were awesome and very helpful.
They get 10 stars from me. Tina, Chris, and Brian were each very helpful and honest with the problems I was having with my truck. I've had six other mechanics tell me six different stories, and none of them ever corrected the issue. A Automotive was very thorough, and actually fixed the problem. If you need a Real Mechanic, then save yourself a whole lot of time, headache, and unnecessary expense, by taking your vehicle to A Automotive, where they do a smoke test on your vehicle, and not on you.
Honest, friendly and no B.S. I took my Hummer in for what I was told was a $700 job from another mechanic..the guys at a automotive said that I didn't need all that work and sent me to get a $30 dollar part and charged me only $30 to put it on! They really are an asset to this small community! They saves me over $600 that time!
