He’s currently holding $500 hostage I paid him to repair my 14 Dodge Avenger SE A/C compressor which he hasn’t even started to work on and won’t give me an estimate on repair for. Considering the bad reviews, I want my money back so I can take my business elsewhere but I can’t do that if I already paid this “man of his word” all of my money so he can pocket before he’s done any service to my vehicle. All i have so far is an empty promise
Im a terminal cancer patient who has to move to houston for my cancer treatment. Im also female. They had me pay for parts and labor upfront in may and i told them i needed it latest first week of july. They promised to call me and let me know when the part was in. They did not. I showed up and at random times their shop was locked up and no one was there besides the sign saying open. I have asked them to install it already or refund all of my money. They have done neither. Please don't support a business that takes advantage of women or the disabled. It was over 500 dollars. The guy at the desk had me pay with cashapp too. Which leaves me without remedy with my bank. Very deceptive very abusive very not demure. Like what kind of business says oh youre a loner disabled person let me talk to you about my christian business then scam you. Should they remedy and apologize i will update my review.
Went by on 8-1-2025 about 11am gates was closed the phone is always a busy single but the ad says open tried calling the other number and it just hangs up on you i will not do any business with them anymore and it will not let me give them a 0 star
Place is closed down paid for an engine thousand dollars and it's been a month that they ordered it and they have been avoiding

Someone Offered to help with prices and they did but after the 2nd question the radio came on and they hung up on me. Called back but kept getting the busy signal. Not the way to run a business idk.
Showed up at 330 but they are closed, sign says they close at 6. Multiple customers waiting that their are people inside but they haven't opened up and when calling a lady said they are open.
Horrible company, give the run around when parts are coming in don’t have tracking info, If they don’t have your part on hand DO NOT RELEASE MONEY especially to Scottie.
Please do not trust these guys do not buy from them very bad business the manager helps you with the part takes your money and then the workers give you half a part and manager is no where to be found instead of them fixing the issue they say the manager is not in or ignore your phone calls
I was never treated unfairly . However ; I ordered a part in Jan and I was told in a week then two weeks then that it was misrouted then that the owner go for it week after week . Past two months I was told the part is coming . Then the excuse was we have it but it’s locked away then the excuse was we don’t have a replacement part to offer for it . Eventually after almost 3 months I was told he never got the part and got my refund. I went to another you pull it left with the part of the day after
I took my Kia to this place for an engine swap that was in 2024 late October it now March , two engines later and it’s still in the shop supposedly the engines that they have does not work. I called the office no answer. when they answer they give me every time, excuses and that’s every month until now.
This is the worse auto service in my experience. My Fathers truck has been at this shop since Nov-Dec of 2024 for a new motor / Trans and it’s now March and we have been told they don’t have a mechanic to replace this.
Can’t seem to get any answers on when the truck will be ready. We can’t get the owner or his advocate “Jaime” to answer the phone. I have left numerous voicemails and no response.
I would NOT recommend this lousy shop to my worst enemy! I would advise anyone to look for a more professional shop and a place that actually works. I will continue calling, leaving reviews until this is resolved.
As regular patrons who enjoy dining at Jake’s, we’d like to point out that, during our visit today, we encountered an issue that we feel needs addressing. We requested to have one of the seven TV screens to be tuned to the Texas game, but our request was denied. We were informed that all screens were dedicated to the Minnesota game.
While we understand the importance of accommodating groups, we believe that a more balanced approach could enhance the experience for all guests. With seven screens available, it seems reasonable to allocate at least one to different games, especially when other patrons express interest.
We hope you will consider this feedback and explore ways to better accommodate diverse viewing preferences in the future.
The owner is a joke he has fake mechanics they took an hour to get my part which only takes 5 minutes to remove and they damaged the threads on the part as well which damaged my vehicles brake line nut I had to cut and relflare my brake line because of this low life and he sells used parts almost for the price of new DO NOT BUY HERE
Ordered a part for a Jeep, was told a week for the part. 3 weeks later part still isn’t here and no refund available. Blaming other people instead of taking responsibility. Whoever Scotty is unprofessional and rude. Would not recommend.
Ridiculous place. They guaranteed me they had my part said they had 6 vehicles. Told me it’ll take an hour I paid up front and left. On my way back I called to check up they said the part is being removed should be ready when I return. I returned and they come and tell me they’re sorry they looked everywhere and they couldn’t find it. Gave me my money back. Place is a joke don’t waste your time or money here.
Horrible place overpriced gentleman wouldn't lower prices. even though it's cheaper going to AutoZone. He tried taking advantage of me saying that it was extremely difficult to remove the part but little to know I'm a mechanic too and a super easy to remove that single part. Overcharging me. I'll never stop to that business ever again
Worst place I have ever had to deal with.. Thie owner Angel (fenlon) is a lier totally messed uo my Jeep had it towed back more then a month later worse then when they took it.. dealership took possession of it because I wasn't able to pay.. They stole items out of my Jeep. The owner Angel tried to get me to commit FRAUD!!!! since I told him I was going to let them repo he offered to make a fake bill and put a mechanic lean so when the company paid to get the Jeep back he would split it with me!!!!!!! Spoke with my dealership and they advised the transmission was not working and was not the original form my truck .. so they stole the transmission also... I'll be taking him to court soon.. DON'T TRUST THIS PLACE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.. I called the police to report the damages and items missing and he cried to the police because i put a letter in mail box lol Really a convicted felon crying that i put a letter in his mailbox ...This guy is a complete fake
I got my a/c compressor for my 2002 esclade worked great for 2 years sadly vehicle was a total loss in a crash. Recently i was looking for a a/c compressor for my 2014 malibu and i remembered about this place and once again they got me what i needed it has been working fantastic super cold really recommend this place 2 months in so far no issues with it!!
The business is straight forward, direct and friendly... great place to do business... although when shopping for anything electrical, it's best to buy brand new... they don't check items in your presence to assure you that they work but... in all fairness, they are true to their policy..
My wife, Carol took her 2016 Honda CRV to Jake's in order for them to install a rear window in September 2022. 3 to 4 months later, my wife never noticed that water was pouring inside at the upper corners - at the car wash and when it rains. She took it to her body repair man friend, and he said it was a poor install or the wrong size glass. She contacted Jake's, and they refuse to guarantee their work and fix what was done wrong. I had to give Jake's one star in order to post this - but they deserve a zero.
I called to see if they had a used rim for my son's car. First of all, they were open (July 4th). They had the correct size and were a full service shop. Convenient! I will be looking into getting a compressor for my car soon.
A month ago I bought a motor there. I called on a Friday around 3 p.m. Asked for my motor and they said they had 3. So after work I went by and as soon as I paid, they told me if I could pick it up on Saturday morning. So I went in like around 9am. Once I got there they said the motor they were gana give me wasn't good. So they asked me if I could give them 1hr to take off the other motor. So they had me waiting there until 2pm until I got the damn motor. Very Disappointed....
Super fast they pulled the part I needed and just minutes .
Also gave me all the accessories for the part no extra cost.
Very friendly staff recommend the place highly and reasonably priced.
If I need another part while I'm in the area definitely coming back here !
Me and a a friend went over to look for a part for a mustang, ranger and challenger, they kick us ouy because "our insurance dosent cover yall being here". Whats the point of a junkyard if you cant even look for your part. Long story short, went to harlingen u pull and way better service, aloot more cars to look for, and over was better kept then this place. Just take the extra drive, and also much better prices.
