Quick and easy! Also watching the guys sling the metal around is impressive!!

When someone is in their yard having scrap metal unloaded they should be unloading everything on their trailer even if it's their closing time! If they don't have time to get to everything they should tell you before you go in and already start unloading some stuff and then tell you they won't finish because the workers at the different sections leave at 5 on the dot! There is no concern for the customers that are in the scrap yard before 5 already having some metal being unloaded! When you call and ask why they don't finish working on the customers in the yard before closing the guy that was there was coming up with excuses and wouldn't answer my question! All sections should be at there stations if people are in the scrap yard before 5 to make sure they are unloaded! They have been great any other time!

Dave comes to our shop one a week to come pick up our metal recycling. He is very polite and professional and gets the job done well. I would definitely recommend there services.

Scales are off or someone is scalping a few pounds here & there.. Last two times being there we were shorted, last trip was to confirm what I already thought. When you're dealing with #1 copper it adds up. Weigh it before you take in folks. States been notified

Pamela is correct. They totally rip you off . Not they , the guy behind the glass who weighs you in and out and gives you the check. The man who helps unload is an upstanding man and very good at working the machine that picks up and spins to release bulk .Besides him (1 guy) that business rips off public. That's exactly why you can't see weigh in and out.1 star for the 1 guy.

Was at a total how to do when I arrived . Everyone was Thoughtful and pointed to what to do. All the work I did to take the recycle. Was not what I expected to get. I loaded 640 pounds got 44.60( I don't know what I was thinking. But Everyone was nice especially Emilio who helped out alot as all the others

I hate being ripped off, after a lot of years of bagging up can u know how much it takes to reach a certain weight! Well since there r the only place to recycle they will tell u u don't have that much! We weigh our cans before we take them in. So beware!

Good people. Quality company in the hill country. Done business with them over 10 years. Prices varies and requirements change. Recommend calling office or asking a few questions each time you drop off to learn about ways to recycle more profitable and or what to do to be safer for all involved.

It’s nice to have a place to get a few bucks on the side just with the scrap metal pile. They’re always nice I took in 1720 in scraps and came out with $172.00 cash thanks again!!!!

The Crew here is always helpful, out in the yard and in the office. They answer any questions you may have(about metal). Never a bad experience at Hill Country Recycling. 5 stars

If you go with them you're almost giving all for free, not gonna be back to this place ever again...

The employees working there have always been very courteous. I have a problem with how they decide how much to pay for items brought in to sale. To get an idea of how much my converter was worth I sent pictures and serial number to rrcats.com and they offered me 296.00 for my cat converter, but HCR only offered me 150.00. I can accept a 20 to 30 dollar difference but 146.00 is a little bit much isn't it? I'll go to another recycling place from now on.

It's a scrap yard, don't go expecting anything pretty or valet service. That said, they're fair and helpful for the most part. and try to process everyone quickly.

I'm happy this place exists! I just moved and didn't know what I was going to do with all of the excess boxes. They have an area here at the front by the entrance where you can drop cardboard and paper items, so it's a quick in and out. Very thankful for that!

Quick and easy way to get rid of metal items for lunch money. It does help a lot.

Well I've always questioned how honest they were on the weight that they pay you on - my suspicion was confirmed today. My husband took in a Subzero refrigerator built in 1974, as everyone knows items built then weigh a lot more than today because they were built better with more metal and less plastic. I looked up the weight of a new Subzero like we took in and Subzero's website reflected the new one ways 532 pounds!! They claimed that the one we took in weighed only 260 pounds, 1/2 of today's - absolutely no way. It was almost impossible for my husband and I to get it in the back the truck, it weighed a lot more than a heavy person!!! There NO way this only weighed 260 lbs!!!!!! Crooks! Be aware of the weight of your items before taking them in.

The people here are rude. The place is filthy. They expect you to drive through the scrap when dropping off a load and treat you like a burden when something in their driveway punctures your tire. Their prices are too low and their hours are inconvenient. Also, they are not open on weekends. Not being open on holidays is perfectly acceptable but weekends are another matter. Sometimes I would rather dump my recyclables in the lake than visit this place. Frankly, I would not be surprised to hear that any positive reviews of this dump are made by the workers or their families. Attached is a picture of my Little Man. He would've hated this place.

Its February 3rd 2017 I do not recommend going to this place. The guys in the yard were cool but the staff in the office were total jerks. The head buyer talked to me as briefly as he could. He acted like I was a bother to even be in his lobby. He was not helpful and basically robbed me. The man grading and scaling me out never spoke to me. Or even made an effort to try and listen to what I was saying. I spent a lot of time sorting and separating the load that I took in .I took a premium load of non ferrous stainless steel...electric motors......all clean ...1100 lbs. separate on the trailer....plastic free...and he gave me half of the going rate .....he paid me less than even the lowest end of any price table I looked at. ......but when I tried to talk to him he sat the check down and disappeared... These people are crooks....don't go here. content://media/external/file/23338 crooks.

No answering machine with hours for holidays. No sign saying whether or not they are open on July 3rd. Do they expect someone to drive all the way here thinking that they are going to be open? Not a good way to run a business in my books.
