The gas ststion was closed when I stopped by today, Sunday, March 1, 2026. There are gas and diesel pumps here with debit/credit card readers but out of the 4 pumps, only 2 had working card readers. The 2 that didn't work were the only 2 that pumped diesel. So, if the station is closed and you need diesel you MAY be S.O.L.
I'm sure it's an easier process when the place is open, it's a hit or miss, when it's closed. The card reader might work, the machines might glitch, Make sure to gass up in Big Bend before coming out of the Park.
100/10 service from Sixto and a special shout out to Jesse. I needed a spare tire fitting on a rental after picking up a nail in Big Bend. They arrived in Alpine within the hour, explained their way through fitting the spare, and advised me on a local tire shop to get a proper tire fitted before my journey back east. Very professional but also very kind to me in my time of need. Thanks so much again :)
Truck had to be towed 3 hours to Odessa. I was in Terlingua and they drove 2 hours to come find me. They were super patient finding the place I was at. The location was remote and not easy to find but they made it. They did a great job loading and securing it. Was so thankful to be able to ride in the back of their spacious truck to Odessa. I found them through AAA and will be saving their number just in case. Thank you! 🙏
We had been driving all day and we were finally about an hour from home when a hog came out of nowhere. We hit it and really there was no way to avoid it at the time. We rolled over it in a low mini van it was crazy. It busted the radiator and smoke was coming off the engine. They came so fast and towed the rental van back to their place and an officer helped us get home. He was very kind.
Was in Marathon Texas recently on a West Texas road trip in the Vette. Hit a piece of debris on the road from Alpine and took out a rear tire and wheel. After many calls to tire shops and dealers trying to find the wheel, it became apparent this was not going to be simple given the remote location. I decided to call Sixto's and see if by chance they would flat tow the car back to Marble Falls for me. They did! I spent the drive in the cab of Sixto's roll-off wrecker and had the privilege of getting to know him. Sixto is the real deal. A very nice person. Honest and straightforward. Knowledgeable. Needed a tow out of Big Bend National Park to Terlingua,TX. Sixto towed out of the park with no hassle and was fairly priced. Sixto also worked with AAAand they were great also.
A few days ago I had battery issues with my Subaru the car was not turning on. We were heading to Dallas from Big Bend
I called AAA and sent roadside assistance from Sixto's wrecker service. It took a short 15 minutes for the roadside assistance to arrive.
Ethan the roadside assistance driver was able to identify the issue and help us turn the vehicle on.
What was really helpful was that he educated me and my girlfriend in case the car turned off again what to do next time it happens.
All along the issue was the connector on the battery being loose (a nut was missing underneath the connector) preventing a stable connection.

Sixto's amazing. They saved our a$$ when we broke down offroad in Big Bend National Park. They then recommended a local hotel, jeep rental, and mechanic so we could continue our trip. Very reasonable cost, friendly, and all around a great experience.
This place saved our a$$. We were stuck with two flat tires east of Marathon (trying to get back home to Houston). Sixto came out and was able to tow us to Ft Stockton, right where we needed to go to get new tires. Very fair price. Very quick service. Very friendly. Very helpful. On a long drive, sometimes it’s nice to let someone else do the driving- even if it’s in a huge, comfortable tow truck. Highly recommend!
Sixto's is a nice little convenience type gas station. The food smelled amazing from their little kitchen , when I stepped inside. Ice cold drinks and your typical chips and snack are available along with restrooms. I stop there to stretch my legs and get something to drink evertime I pass by.
The sign they put up is true, It is the last gas station before Big Bend, but there is gas at Panther Junction, and Rio Grande Campsite, inside the park. I found the prices in the park better than outside the park, but do not be fooled that your close, it's still an hour drive to get to the gates of Big Bend, then another stretch to get to Panter Junction.
We made a quick stop here on our way to Big Bend National Park. The restrooms were clean and the owners were very friendly. There was a beautiful Scissor-tailed Flycatcher perched on the power line.
