If you scrap metal, go ANYWHERE else! No matter how far you have to drive, it will be worth it every time. I’ve been to about 20 different scrap metal/recycling places in the greater Houston area and along the Gulf Coast. This place consistently offers the lowest prices, has just nonsensical sub categories and pricing for individual metals, the staff is rude and obnoxious, they close early, they open late, they don’t update their website or answer their phone reliably. I cannot for the life of me understand how they are able to stay in business. This place is TERRIBLE.

My husband had accumulated so much of "this and that" in our 2 sheds for the last 2-years that I decided it was time to clean them out. I read the online list that they supply of which material gives the best prices and made 1 trip with the items in back of my Suv. We made the 3 mi trip, pulled up asked the attendant the process which was easy. He and another attendant working were polite, friendly and well I formed. They had easy to follow instructions. They give you a stub printed out then you just pull around to front office, go in and they hand you your money. The only issue you might find is you'd better be there, have your stuff sorted, weighed before 4:15 or you might not get served. Tight schedule to shut down .
Says they close at 4:30 will not let you scrap after 4:15 fix your time big wasn’t of our time just lost money thanks to iron horse will not be coming back
they pay less overall than cmc. the scale being off or broken, allegedly, is not good for reputation or business. they need to change that or eventually go by way of the dinosaurs. the only real thing I like about them over cmc is they're open on Saturday for half day.
Arrived on site and got on the scale 20 minutes before they closed. They did not want to weigh our scrap even though we were already there. Also scale is broken and readings given were a bit off...
Great place to go to and what I like about them is that that guy on that machine that's scoops up the metal. He helped me out with my heavy items and I appreciate there people there keep up the good work guys
