Wine was fine but not amazing. Service was horrible. 30 or 35 min just to get first pours, and they seemed disappointed we didn't want to do the tasting where they can charge more for less volume. We were ignored for long periods of time. The excuse given was that they were busy, but there are only so many tables inside, and other tables got more attention. Brian literally poured a tasting of the wine my wife ordered next to our table, walked right past us, and then it was another 15 minutes before he poured hers. He seemed nice, but was not efficient and seemed forgetful. He even forgot her order for that pour. The service completely ruined the experience from the get-go. The wines were ok but overpriced for that. We've definitely had better, but there is worse around here as well. Temp was more than a bit acidic. The Rose was literally not Rose, it was the color of white wine. The charcuterie board was better than most, we all liked it. Will not be returning, unfortunately, as the wine was at best average and the service was absolutely below average. We were offered nothing for the extremely poor service except very weak excuses. I found his attitude toward our service extremely disrespectful, but he is family so I doubt that changes. Young acidic wines for 50 bucks, enjoy.

Great ownership who grow and harvest and process their own grapes to make terrific wines. Very friendly. Have recently opened a newly built tasting room with a decent menu.

First of all, what an incredibly beautiful property and the friendliest most accommodating staff. They said they want to treat their customers like family and that came across in everything from their wait service, to their knowledge of wine making, and them GENEROUSLY letting us stay after while we waited for an Uber to come get us! Definitely make sure you book a car ahead of time as it is a bit far out here, but totally worth it!! The wines are really great, all Texas grown. I’m not a wine drinker usually, but I really enjoyed theirs! The spinach & artichoke dip was the best I have ever had. No joke! This is totally worth the drive, you definitely have to come check this out!

Sandy Road Vineyard is an absolute gem and a must-visit. From the moment we arrived, the team was incredibly accommodating and welcoming—you really feel like a valued guest. The standout was the Sangiovese and the spinach artichoke dip was the best I’ve ever had!

Stopped into Sandy Road Vineyards for a glass of wine and ended up doing a tasting — so glad I did! The wines were phenomenal, and Adrienne and Andy were welcoming, knowledgeable, and a joy to chat with, especially discussing all things food and wine. I left with the Grenache Rosé (amazing!) and can’t wait to bring my husband back to enjoy more beautiful wines. Highly recommend! ?✨

Great winery off the main road (290). Worth the short drive. Andie will take great care of you and has lots of stories. Life is to short for bad wine so go get some good wine at Sandy Road.

Great experience. We had a wine tasting in the tree house with Andy. The view was beautiful and the wine was great!

Sandy Road delivers exactly what you come to Fredericksburg for—gorgeous grounds, genuinely friendly staff, and wine that makes you feel like you’ve made excellent life choices. The treetop tasting is the standout: a unique, elevated experience that sets this place apart from the usual 290 lineup. It’s like sipping wine in a luxury treehouse, and yes, it’s as cool as it sounds. This spot is a must-stop.

I had the pleasure of taking a group of 12 to Sandy Road Vineyards with Heart of Texas Wine Tours. They absolutely loved the experience! The service was excellent, and the wine was a big hit with everyone. Sharing this video of their great time at the vineyard! ?✨

Awesome wine & staff! ??? The new wine tasting room is gorgeous! They did a great job with the high ceilings! Super clean!!!! We bought 2 bottles of Chardonnay and one bottle of Marselan. The Chardonnay won awards best white wine in Texas by sommeliers. Thank you Andy for making us feel comfortable ?.

Be still my heart! This is the place for you if you care about outstanding service, amazing wine, and a really good vibe. ? The property is just stunning and is a place to go hang out. ? Andy helped us and he was very knowledgeable and taught us so much about Sandy Road wine in addition to wine in general. My husband and I tend to stick with reds, but their Chardonnay was out of this world, so we grabbed a bottle to take with us! Wish we could have stayed for their Grand Opening! Congratulations, Bryan, Andy and team!! ?

Andy was a phenomenal guide through the wines! Off the beaten path and immaculate! The new building addition is something definitely worth checking out.

All their wines are solid, but this year, this family-owned vineyard made the best Texas Chardonnay I’ve ever had! And I’m mostly a red wine drinker. 2023 Chardonnay — tremendous!

Lovely vineyard views paired with some delicious wine. ? Permanent structure is being built but the current open space pavilion was great on this breezy day. They offer a “treehouse” space too. Lots of goodness to look forward to with the expansion of this estate vineyard. Bonus: estate grown wines in Texas. ♥️

This is one of the best winetasting experiences I have ever had. The wine is delicious for every pallette The hospitality, the casual environment to just relax and savor the amazing wine with Andy’s superb knowledge of both food and wine make it a very memorable experience. Be sure you ask him about his cookbook. The grounds made it feel like home

We had a fabulous experience at Sandy Road vineyard with Andy! He was so passionate about Texas wines and the aspects that make Sandy Road special like the Prieto Picudo, which is only grown and bottled in Texas. The atmosphere is so peaceful and welcoming. We left with 4 bottles and we’ll definitely be back.

SO welcoming and incredible wine. We got there Late on a Sunday and were welcomed in, immediately helped to select wine (I had the Grenache Rosé) and they let us explore the tree house! 10/10 recommend for a group to do a tasting or just to stop by at the end of the day for a friendly glass.

Y’all there’s a tree house here. Where else would you get that? The folks running the show here are very welcoming and inclusive. The views are great. The wine is great. The tree house is very special. This is worth the trip over. You will be driving on a sandy road over to the winery, true to its name. Enjoy the ride, the wine and experience is worth it.

We had a wonderful time at Sandy Road with their lovely treehouse tasting table and delicious wines. Andy was knowledgeable, fun, charming — just made the experience excellent! This will be a “go-to” for us in future wine country trips.

Quickly became a must-visit winery any time I'm in the Hill Country. Beautiful setting, great wines, fun conversation with Bryan while enjoying the afternoon, and on top of all that they're dog friendly so I don't have to do any extra planning ahead. It's only five minutes off of 290 but can be more relaxing than some of the places right along the highway.

Smaller winery; beautiful open air venue. Small treehouse overlooking the winery for their members to view and relax from. For my red drinkers, the Tempranillo is fantastic. Will definitely be back.

Our favorite place of all the ones we visited. We were so lucky to have Andy as our guide and enjoyed the wine, fun facts, and beautiful treehouse and ambiance. A must go!

We had a wonderful experience here in the tree house. Andy did a fantastic job teaching us about the wines and wine history and it's clear why he's been employee of the month ever since he began there. The pet nat was a wonderful experience and we loved each of the wines we tried here, truly expertly made. An experience not to be missed.

My wife and I only had planned one vineyard visit for our trip which was to Sandy Roads Vineyards and were going to just hop around after. We made a great choice. We are extremely happy that we decided to book the tasting in the tree house. We were lucky enough to have Andy leading our tasting. He is extremely knowledgeable and made us very comfortable as amateur wine drinkers. We learned so much about their wines and the property which brought us to become members. I’m addition to the wine being well above any wine we have tasted, Sandy Roads is just an all encompassing great company down to their staff, origins and history. After becoming members, we had to go to the pavilion for one more glass and were privileged enough to get to speak with Bryan and all it did was reiterate that we made the right decision to join. Make sure you don’t pass them up on your next trip!!

After 3 days of wineries… Sandy Road Vineyards is by far is the best. First, the view is amazing, completely breathtaking. Second the wine, stood out from the rest. This will be a place we make sure to visit again.

Reserved a private tasting in the tree house for my birthday and the view didn’t disappoint! We went around 1pm in September and there was a pleasant breeze the whole time. The treehouse is built beautifully surrounding a big oak tree! Just gorgeous. We had Andy leading our tasting and he was spectacular. Very knowledgeable on wine - I learned details about variety of grapes, wine stoppers, methods of culturing, and most of all - the best wines for different environments! He really made our visit memorable and contributed much to the experience. We arrived a bit early to our reservation so we hung out at the Pavilion and met with Bryan! He was hospitable and told us the history behind the property and timeline of the vineyard. We purchased three bottles to take home (Albariño, Tempranillo, and Sangiovese), they were carefully packaged in a special cardboard box with a handle. We purchased the charcuterie board for two and this is the only area I felt could use some improvement in terms of presentation! I’d recommend the private treehouse sitting for birthdays, bachelorettes, date night or girls night out!
