I had an amazing experience here, I used to take my car to Cornerstone because I didnt really trust any other shop, but they were rude and unhelpful so I stop giving them my business, Ivan here in Salado tho was amazing, he was communicative and real, had fast service and amazing pricing, if you need a mechanic Ivan is the guy and this is the shop to go to!

Salado Auto Shop truly went above and beyond for me. I was stranded on a very dangerous stretch of IH-35 with a blown tire, and they came out quickly and took care of everything. Ivan was an absolute angel — calm, kind, and incredibly service-oriented in a stressful situation. He made me feel safe, explained what he was doing, and treated me with genuine care. Salado Automotive went above and beyond for us today. We had a tire issue and they fixed it super fast, which was a huge relief. The guy who helped us was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely cared about helping people—not just getting us in and out. On top of that, he didn’t even make us pay, which says a lot about the kind of business this is.
What really stood out was that he also took the time to help stop and assist an elderly man in front of us before even worrying about our situation. On our way to Thanksgiving celebration our motorhome simply died in a vacant lot in Salado. Ivan with Salado Automotive came & diagnosis the issue on Friday at noon, as a fuel pump and fuel filter needed to be replaced. On Saturday at 2:00pm, was able to get the parts and make the repair in the vacant lot. Keep in mind, this involved lowering a 75 gallon gas tank! Ivan and his 2 assistants had us ready to go in a few hours. Ivan called the next day to make sure there were no issues with the repair. We are very pleased with our experience with Ivan from Salado Automotive and will strongly recommend to anyone needing a fair, honest, and reliable auto machanic.

Ivan came to help with my pickup after I had transmission issues. Being from 4 hours away, I pretty much had to pick randomly who I called, and I was so glad that I picked him!
He was able to come straight to me within an hour and knowing the basic symptoms, he even brought some parts. Thankfully he had us back on the road quickly after making what turned out to be a very simple repair. He even checked fluids and codes for me to make sure l was able to continue my trip. Ivan was very helpful, my son was stuck on his way to SA....Ivan answered his phone, listened to our dilemma, offered to help, meet my son, diagnose the issue, towed the vehicle and did the work from Fri-Mon....communication was excellent, diagnosis was clear, repairs were prompt, affordable and he did excellent work. Wife's Ford Explorer broke down while traveling. Ivan came out, brought a new battery, and had us up and running in no time. Very professional and delivers great customer service. I highly recommend his shop!
Great work from these guys. Starter went out in the middle of the night on my way back home. I got it towed to the nearest shop and it happened to be the right spot. Left it there overnight and told them what happened in the morning when they opened. They knocked the job out quick and I was back on the road. Not to mention for a great price also. Will definitely return for more work from them.
I brought my truck in for normal service and Ivan identified a few issues which needed repair. I'm so grateful for him identifying those issues. My truck is running great and I'm back on the road. Ivan is very knowledgeable and provides courteous service.
I was driving across texas to deliver parts. And a my radiator blew. And these guys saved the day. Came to where i was to make sure i would make it to there shop. Once i got there it took them about 45 minutes or less and i was back on the road. Came in clutch!!
