Great place to get bent and damaged and somewhat out of date items at really great prices. Hard to maneuver around if just a few in there. Worth it though.
This place has awesome deals on everything. I highly recommend them. I shop there a lot and I've never had a problem with any of the products that I've bought or any of the employees that work there. People saying that they sell expired foods are full of it because they do not.
I purchashe a bottle of magnesium + D3 vitamins Saturday The box was taped across the top. I ripped the package open took the cap off and noticed there was no seal on the bottle. Then I poured the tablets out and counted them . There was supposed to be 90 tablets but there was only 40 tablets in total. So I don't know why they would sell a bottle of medicine that had already been opened with no safety seal .

i went in the store with my mother,grandmother,uncle,sister,&little cousins im a black female teenager i was with my mom and grandma through out the store when i walked out i was accused of stealing by a woman that worked there she followed me from the time i entered the store from the time i left when i got to the car i emptyed everything in my pocket aka my phone and 40$ we had to pay for the hair spray that i apparently stole that was on the shelf this place is nice they just dont except blacks.
Only product I purchased was 2 bottles of bleach because all the food products were expired. Bought some cookies 2 years ago that were expired. They didn't taste stale, but I got sick the next day and didn't return until my neighbor asked me to take her.
This is such a gem. But don't expect it to be perfect items because alot isn't. But everything is very usable and can save a TON of money. Be ready to search and find goodies. Just found our new favorite all around store... groceries, kitchen essentials, etc...
This is a great place to find different, alternative, and unusual items hard to find locally. They have lots of discounted ? chocolate, which I ❤️ love, cereal, cereal snacks, coffee, Kureigg pods, small kitchen hardware, etc. Don't go by yourself. Bring someone who likes to browse around. Overall, it's a very friendly place and atmosphere among staff and customers as well. Good place to chit-chat and meet local people. Watch ⌚️ the expiration ? dates before purchasing and then again before using.
It's a basic discount grocery. There are some good deals to be had, but I have seen open food, and swollen canned goods that should not have been allowed to be in the shelf. Please educate yourself before going. I like going and getting the deals, I just hate to see unsafe products out for sale.
Love this place. Really good prices on most things. Tommy really takes care of his customers. New great finds all the time.
UPDATE:
Today, I was kicked out of Smart Dollar with a service dog! I was treated rudly by a man who worked there and refused to give me his name. I am very upset. He right next yelled at me. Threatened me! I am so dissapointed!!!!! Tommy, if this is how you allow ppl to represent your store, you may have lost a shopper. It is federal law that protects my rights to have my service animal with me. I am frankly upset and insulted how I was treated after dropping thousands in your store. Perhaps it's time to learn the law before you threaten customers and rudly throw them out.
Love coming here for their discount groceries. Their items are very cheap but I do have to say that most of the things are expired. Expired is no problem for most things though so just check over the dates and decide for yourself.
Awesome store well worth driving hours to get here!!! Tons of cheaply priced organic, gluten free, vitamins, drinks, etc simply amazing selection! An employee even took my boxes out to my car. A+
This place was recommended by a fellow Puryear neighbor. It is our local salvage grocery store. It could be a bit more organized, but it does it's job! I purchased 20 assorted grocery items, things that I normally use and eat, for $16.00! Totally worth the 50 minute drive.
Great place to shop. Friendly owner and staff. They always get new things in. It helps us buy most of our monthly needs without breaking the budget. We love how they have straightened the store and made it easier to shop.
Always come out spending more than I meant to because I find so many good things. Tommy tends to have quite a bit of gluten free things in there, which can usually be very costly. I've gotten amazing cookie mixes and more for $0.39 each. Not everything in the store is past expiration, and even the items that are are usually still fresh and tasty as they're typically non perishables.
Tommy is the hardest working and nicest young man in west TN! This is the first stop that I make before going elsewhere to shop for items he doesn't stock. The prices are amazing and he gets new shipments often. I can, and do, spend lots of time there. I like to try new things and his prices are so good that I don't mind experimenting more often.
